We had an amazing experience at Sara's! Loved the owner and other woman that helped us that evening. They were wonderful! They helped us happily and continuously to pick out a communion dress for my daughter. They showed us dresses in our price range and didn't try to push us into anything. The best part was the dress fit almost perfect and there was no need for alterations which was huge to me. Most places try to make you get bigger and alter. I cannot recommend this shop more! read more

Very happy with our experience at this boutique today. The options are absolutely beautiful and a higher quality than other places we visited. The clothes are pricey, but you're paying for the quality. They worked with us very quickly and were patient while our toddler had a melt down. They had options for shoes and hair accessories but weren't pushy when we declined. I highly recommend this store. read more

COMMUNION shoppers Please Read this before shopping here! My daughter is receiving her communion this year so I took her dress shopping at Sara's back in October for a communion dress. I wanted to beat the rush of all the chaotic, busy communion season so we came to Sara's since it came up on my google search. We tried on several dresses that were chosen for my daughter based on our price range. I also picked dresses for my daughter knowing her style. One of the dresses that I chose for my daughter she absolutely loved but strangely as soon as my daughter said she liked it the sales associate instantly informed me that there will be an additional $200 added to the price tag. She claimed that the ticket was mismarked. This is not the usual customer service I've experienced for any company I usually shop at but I let it go because there are not many communion dress shops. My daughter ended up liking a different dress and we ordered it. We were told that the dress would arrive within 4-6 weeks, possibly sooner. Since we ordered the dress in October, we figured this would also be great to wear to a holiday event in December so we wouldn't have to buy two dresses for her. Here we are in January and the dress has still NOT arrived! I called the store and I'm now being told we will most likely get our dress around mid-February or possibly at the end of February. Not exactly sure how this makes any sense or how I can be reassured that I will even get the dress in February. The whole experience has been a complete disaster! Please if your child is receiving a communion don't shop here. There is no guarantee you are getting your dress when you need it and I can't deal with the fact my daughter had to experience this and may be the only one in her class without a dress. I was also told I cannot get a refund even though they didn't hold up their end of the contract by giving me the dress in 4-6 weeks. We are now 12 weeks from my date of purchase and I'm being told it may arrive sometime in late February. Apparently their store policy is no refunds, just a credit. Does anyone need a credit for a communion dress that you only need once in a lifetime?? Based on my horrible experience with this store, I would strongly advise families to do their communion dress shopping elsewhere! read more

Update on their customer service . On Saturday November 12, 2022 I went to the store because I had not received a call back from Maria the owner, it was now a week and I had been contacting the store to speak to the owner but was given excuse after excuse. The owner was there and I tried talking to her again about the price difference and me getting the money that was owed to me due to an error on their end. It was clear that Maria was not going to give me back the money and so I took the credit instead. For a moment we began to go back and forth but I told her I wasn't there to argue with her. I used the credit so that I wouldn't have to come back again. There was no point in arguing because they believe it is okay to deceive customers. There are other stores better then this one so do your research it. Look at everything before you purchase it . read more

Mantilla and dress are from here. Satin shoes are AMAZON. They have a huge selection in terms of style, fabric, and prices. It's really crowded in there so if you're willing to go through the selection it's worth it. They are a lovely Italian family owned business. Exactly what I would expect walking into an old mom and pop boutique. Dressing rooms are available but it's really crammed. Dresses, veils, gloves, rosary, purses, shoes, socks, you name it they have it. Thank you to the Nonna and patient assistant who helped us choose. We went back in March. read more

I needed a christening dress for my daughter last minute and Sara's Children's Boutique came through for me. The dress I ordered was out of stock in their store so they had the dress ship to me directly from the designer. When I received the dress I was extremely happy with the quality! I ordered the Piccolo Bacio (Vanina). I fell in love with the picture online but it was even more beautiful in person. I also ordered an after outfit that arrived a few days later. I was sadly disappointed by this boutique. I realllly wanted to like it. It's a small family operated business run by an old Italian family. However, they are very rude and seem to be a bit racist. It's not like they were natural Americans either. They spoke with a thick Italian accent. Instead of a greeting, when we walked in they rudely asked, do you have an appointment? As a matter of fact I did. I don't even know where to start. The older woman who took care of us, 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment was beyond rude. She made it seem like she couldn't be bothered to help us. We were looking for flower girl dresses and she made one of the flower girls cry. A helpless 5 year old mind you. She took a look at her and shouted, I won't be able to find anything for her she's too big. My poor niece cried and said she'll just stay home for the wedding because she won't have anything to wear. Who does that to a child???? And then when we asked to see a dress that was hanging from the ceiling she said "Oh no that dress is couture, it's too expensive" Excuse me? We left after that rudeness and found much better, custom made flower girls at Bijou Bridal. read more

I am surprised by the negative reviews. My children were well taken care of and received personalized attention. We went shopping for their 1st communion dress and suit and the staff was knowledgeable and beyond patient, willingly pulling out dress after dress for my daughter and suits that were flattering on my son. My daughter was thrilled and felt as if she were a princess. My son was never antsy and he felt as if his concerns were addressed. My daughter and son received attention beyond what we expected and we didn't have an appointment. Each employee listened to my children's comments and consulted with us as parents, as well. This shop has some beautiful children's clothing for special occasions, however the owner is extremely rude! I went in one day and purchased socks, shoes and a dress which had to be ordered. A young girl helped me and she was very nice. Once I got home I received a call from her telling me that the dress I ordered didn't come in the size I needed and that she ordered me the next size up. I asked her if I could get my money back if it didn't fit and she said yes. After thinking about it I called back shortly after and the owner answered. I told him that I no longer want the larger dress as it would be too large for my daughter. I mentioned that there was another dress I liked. He kindly said he would put it on the side for me. A few days later when I went back to take care of business I was quite disappointed in the customer service. First, I had to wait a few minutes for the man to get off a personal phone call before he helped me. I told him that I decided to change my mind about purchasing the dress that was on hold for me and he was NOT happy about it. He told me that he already ordered me the original dress in a larger size. I kindly reminded him that on the phone I told him that I didn't want the larger dress as a 6 month size would not fit my 2 month old daughter. He then got annoyed that I didn't want to purchase the dress he put on the side for me. Quite honestly, the dress was cute but way overpriced. He huffed and puffed and basically asked me if I found another dress somewhere else! While still huffing and puffing, he refunded me the money I put down toward the original dress.
