After holding for more than 30 minutes, I was told that the next available appointment was not until 8/28/2026. That is more than two weeks away. For the past week, I have called three separate times to get my husband's essential prescriptions refilled (Diabetes and Thyroid medications). Each time, I was assured the message would be relayed to the doctor, yet no prescription has been sent to the pharmacy. It is clear that the correspondence team is failing to contact the doctor, creating a dangerous gap in patient care. My husband has been without life-saving medication for 3 months due to these administrative failures. This is not a doctor issue; this is a systemic failure of Healthy U's communication. The lack of follow-through and poor customer service is putting my husband's health and safety at risk. In the very beginning when he first started and was a brand new doctor, he was awesome. Now he's a total jerk and he has his uneducated office staff and PA running the business. just a few of our most prominent issues: 1. I was extorted by the front office, that he would not see me unless I paid a missed appointment, which I did not schedule. 2. The office refused to treat me, for a raging bladder infection that they tested me for, even though I'm a regular annual patient. I refused to pay the $50 to come BACK to the office the same day, for the RX. 3. His physicians assistant incorrectly diagnosed me as having HPV. And I had to go to another doctor for an incredibly painful procedure, all for nothing. I did not have HPV. 4. In my opinion Kurtz now has a God complex, he didn't used to. ***5. THEY REFUSED TO TREAT ME, AFTER I LEFT MY URINE SAMPLE....UNLESS I PAID WHAT FEELS LIKE A $50 EXTORTION FEE, in order to give me my prescription. When the doctor says they don't hold back care because of an unpaid balance, that is entirely incorrect, and I believe he's lying. His behavior is reprehensible, and he is fully aware of this. Don't say you weren't warned. ....*add the fact that he stands by his uneducated and extremely unprofessional staff, says even more. Do better Dr Kurtz. Michelle and Dr. Le (pronounced Lay for those of us that need the reminder) are top notch people and very well versed in how to communicate with patients. Furthermore, the care that was shown to me was extraordinary. I don't think I've had the same experience with anyone else. Together, they are a class act and therein if you're looking for a new Doctor, I highly recommend you give them a try. Today I picked up my medication (for my breathing ailment) and am hoping in a few days I'll be feeling much better. Thanks (again) Dr. Le and Michelle!!!

Instead of addressing my worries, Dr.Gutierrez was dismissive and worried about her staff being overwhelmed with the request. She stated due to lack of staff, she would require me to pull the heavy grunt work with calling insurance, providing details, of what it will require to be approved. Despite me already doing that and informing Dr.Gutierrez that insurance states they need a prior-authorization request; she would not take the step forward with me to send in a pre-authorized referral due to the amount of time irk it will be for her staff. When I pointed out my dissatisfaction with the service, Dr.Gutierrez bluntly told me, "If you don't like our service, you can go somewhere else." I was shocked by this unprofessional behavior. A healthcare provider should prioritize patient care and empathy, not push patients away. I will definitely take Dr.Gutierre's advice and find another doctor who actually cares about their patients. I would not recommend Dr.Gutierrez or Memorial Care to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and look for a more compassionate and professional healthcare.
