I came in with a very painful issue that was causing me a lot of discomfort and bleeding. Instead of having to navigate the maze of ER visits, PCP referrals, and urgent care waiting rooms, Dr. Chung got me in the same day. There was no one else in the waiting room, and the entire experience felt incredibly personal and unhurried. Dr. Chung explained everything to me in a way that was both humorous and approachable. He used lighthearted terms like "poop juice" and "butt stuff," which made an awkward situation feel completely embarrassment-free. He gave me a conservative treatment option, but I chose the in-office procedure, a quick removal right then and there. The only discomfort was the numbing shot (a brief 7 out of 10 on the pain scale), and after that, it was smooth sailing. When I called the billing department to make the payment and, also to understand the reason for the delay of late notice, I was told that bills had been sent in past and that multiple voicemails were left on my phone--none of which I had received. During the call, the representative(Don't want to name her here) I spoke with became increasingly unprofessional. When I asked for clarification about the delayed billing which was my right to ask, she raised her voice, spoke in a disrespectful tone, and even threatened to send the my account to collections. When I questioned why she was raising her voice and speaking to me that way, her voice raised further more. I was eventually transferred to a supervisor, who handled the situation professionally with a satisfying explanation. While I value Dr. Riff's care, this experience with the billing department was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, it has made me reconsider continuing care at this practice, as I have never experienced such treatment at any facility before.

Using that, I scheduled an appointment date/time and was told that I would be contacted within 48 hrs to confirm the appointment. No one contacted me. I called the office after several days of waiting to confirm my appointment. The auto-answer gave me the option for a callback, but I decided to wait in the queue. After 15 mins I moved up to #4 and then the phone line disconnected. I called the office again and selected the callback option. I was told I would be called back within 48 hours. No one ever called. After 3 days of waiting, I called the office again to confirm my appointment. The receptionist had no record of my web-based appointment (on their system), and had no record of the referral from my doctor/health system--even though I had a printed copy via mail. And the receptionist's office phone was very bad--crackling in and out as she talked. This has all the appearances of a very poorly run operation. Why would I trust my health care needs to an office that can't even schedule an appointment? I am requesting a new referral for a different doctor.
