I used to take my daughter there to see Stephanie Jennings. I did like Jennings. She…read morewas....assertive. I didn't mind it because I can be too, but my duaghters mom did. You can imagine why. Anywho, I'm upset and annoyed that SFP stopped accepting insurance. My first reaction was to leave a one star review, but that would not be fair. I believe they have their reasons. Many insurance companies do not align with, or support the type of care SFP provides. I do. After reading the negative reviews, I noticed a consistent theme: people felt disrespected, inconvenienced, or emotionally frustrated. That reaction is understandable. No one likes wasted time, and appointments should be honored. Personally, I have not experienced delayed appointments. What has changed is that appointments are harder to get, and that is worth asking why. Some reviewers were upset about receiving results over the phone. I actually prefer that. Preferences differ, and that matters. Could bedside manner improve? Yes. I agree with that criticism, and I won't defend it. There is room for improvement. That said, let's consider the nature of this practice. Imagine a doctor telling patients that improvement requires an alternative protocol: supplements, timing, lifestyle changes, and long-term commitment. No magic pill. No instant results. Some patients respond with "that's too much," "that's too expensive," or "I can't do that." If a practitioner truly believes in their protocol and practices with integrity, it is reasonable to say: if you are unwilling to follow it, this may not be the right place for you. Health requires time, effort, and maintenance. Proactive care is very different from reactive care. That difference often separates one star reviews from five star reviews. So ask yourself: why do people choose this practice? Is the alternative better, or simply more familiar? Where do your values lie? Are you proactive about your health, willing to research and participate in your care, or do you expect doctors to have every answer while making you feel comfortable along the way? This is an alternative practice for people who are dissatisfied with mainstream medicine. It is not for everyone. No doctor, primary care provider, alternative practitioner, or specialist has all the answers. That is precisely why SFP blends approaches, though it clearly leans more alternative than conventional. Choose wisely. Do your research. Think critically. As for service: service is declining everywhere, not just here. Expectations are high, patience is low, and social media amplifies dissatisfaction. Criticism is valid when it is constructive, but perspective matters. This practice works for people who understand what they are signing up for. If you do, you may find real value here.

So now, you're paying out of pocket. But they are still trying to run like they take insurance. Ridiculous long wait times. Like insanely rude long wait times... online tele visits... Dr was over 30 minutes late and didn't even apologize. Every time I've been in that office, ppl are pissed, asking how much longer. You have the front desk girls loudly gossiping, then when someone gets upset about waiting they shift to talking in Spanish. They do actually take their time, you don't feel rushed, they listen... But I think they need a system and put the patient first, our time is valuable.... Our money is precious!

Get it together, people. Also, they never sent me my blood test results from last year even though I called several times. I eventually gave up and they finally read them to me this year. After the tests, they said I needed to go in person to talk about my results, even though I asked if that's even necessary and I'd prefer to be sent my results. When I go in for my results, I sit in the patient room for like 45 minutes. When I walked in, there was maybe one other person, not sure who else in the back. So it didn't seem busy. He finally comes to talk to me for like 10 minutes and the things mentioned are things I could've seen off the results of the tests. They charged my insurance for a "long" visit. $160. Apparently, it's based on when I walk in, even if they take forever to see me. I called about the $200 in claims and say I didn't want to go in the office, if I didn't have to, and I asked for what's covered. They didn't budge on the charges. I called my insurance and they called the office directly. Luckily, the insurance representative got some of it waived. Summary... I go in for an insurance covered physical. They end up charging me over $200 in claims.

Place was clean, not overly busy when I arrived. Was in-and-out within a little over an hour. Staff are courteous, professional, and efficient. I just wish I could access visit documents and blood test results with an online account. I had to go back a few days later and receive paper copy, which I then had to scan to provide to my primary care Dr. All in all, if I get illin' like that again, I'd go back here for care.

The receptionist was less than helpful and said care now told her to charge the full amount. Some bs thing they do. They charged us for the full visit of $206. It did go through insurance and sure enough it should have been $50. I do hope that I get back the $156 they overcharged us. But what a pain it is for me to chase after the overpayment. As of now, I have not been refunded the overcharge. I do hope I will get the overcharge back. I told him to go to his doctor from now on or an urgent care that honors insurance. I would rather use the ER than deal with this place again. Should have walked out and gone to patient first. Live and learn.

So I began to search for a local medial facility that was "in-network" (based on my medical insurance). During my search I happened to stumble upon this medical facility (which has other locations as well). All I can say is that, so far my experiences have been pretty good. When I scheduled my appointment I decided to go with Dr. Rachel R. Colquitt (she is only available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) which turned out to be a great choice. I found that she is kind, patient, very knowledgeable, and is always ready to answer any questions. She explained the whole physical process to me and once the physical started every check she performed, she explained to me why it needed to be done and how I could do the check. In the end I have no issues with my experience here and plan to continue to go here and use Dr. Colquitt for my general health inquiries, issues, and check-ups unless something changes. #HealthyIsTheNoMoneyFor2014

When I called to inquire about walk-in availability, the male receptionist who answered sounded as if he was half-asleep and was very difficult to understand. I genuinely could not make out what he was saying, so I politely asked him to repeat himself. Instead of clarifying, he responded in a blunt and dismissive tone. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. To top it off, right as I was wrapping up the call and saying "okay thank you," he hung up on me before I even finished my sentence. That lack of basic courtesy left a really negative impression. Again, I have no complaints about the doctors or the actual care, but the attitude of the person answering the phones makes a huge difference in how patients perceive the office. First impressions matter, and this one was disappointing.
