Decided I couldn't stand my 30 year old kitchen any longer and started shopping around. I…read moreoriginally wanted to do it myself for the satisfaction and to save some money but time constraints and never having done one before I figured it would be easier to leave it to the professionals. Led me to Hope Kitchens, only because I remember seeing the store while passing it multiple times on Hope street. Went in and met with one of the employees, was very strait forward and not up in your face like many salesman which was a good start. Had them come measure and went over the quote a few days later. Had 2 other quotes for more money; one place had poor quality cabinets in the show room which turned me off, the other one was " custom" for about 4x the cost from Home Depot. Scheduled the install and 2 weeks later everything arrived, was installed in one day and the counters came 3 days later along with the sink. Came home from work and was very impressed and satisfied. The kitchen looked great and I wouldn't have done much different looking back. Overall i'm happy, has only been 2 weeks so I cant speak much of the longevity or finish but it appears very solid. They did order the wrong cabinet above my range and I had to buy a vent hood but that was only a minor error on their end. Maybe a minor language barrier or miscommunication. I'd recommend anyone looking for an affordable kitchen to check this place out. They did a great job and were friendly before and after the sale. I'll be buying more places in the near future and know where i'll be doing my kitchens, thanks Hope Kitchens!

From design to install, David helped us with every step. We solved for unused space and optimal functionality (all drawers in the base cabinets) - we were very ambitious. Here are the pictures showing our end results. The design and installation crews were amazing. Several trips were required to get this right but Hope kept coming back to make sure everything was perfect. And David was there making sure everything was okay without charging me more. Very grateful for the help. My thanks to this very capable company and crew. Much appreciated.

Paramount Stone - Beautiful vanity, unfortunately quartz is horrible

Horrible experience. We have 2 brand new vanities and went to Paramount stone to get quartz…read morecountertops. We had three samples from the manufacturer as well as looking at the photos from the manufacturer website and decided on the Hanstone Coast product, manufactured by Hyundai L & C, headquarters in Georgia. After having the measurements done, Paramount came to install the quartz. At first I thought the numerous black marks on the surface were smudge from the workers hands. After trying to wash it off with soap and water, we realized that it was an inherent smudge in the product we received. Paramount would have nothing to say. I called Kaylee, customer care for the manufacturer in Georgia who told me it was a defect in the manufacturing of the slab of quartz that was sent. She told me that all Paramount had to do was send in a form and Hyundai would send a new slab for free. Paramount never offered to do this. I found out that the industry standard for the fabricator(Paramount) is to have the customer come in to check the slab prior to fabricating it. This is important because there might be a hole for a sink that needs to be cut out and the customer may want to tell the fabricator what part of the slab should be cut for their countertop. As the photos show(although seeing in person is even worse), the black smudges are a definite eyesore. No reasonable customer or fabricator would have accepted this. The owner never came to look at the finished product in person. Instead he had one of his workers come and take a picture, as well as the person who did the initial measurements. Despite the manufacturer Hyundai L & C offering to send a free new slab for us Paramount never cooperated with Hyundai. Paramount never took the time or interest to fill out a form. Then wanted to charge us over $2,000 to remove the two defective countertops (each 23"x55") and install the new ones. The original installation took less than two hours. Plus they already had the exact measurements to do the fabrication. Also, there would be extra material for them to sell as a remnant for another customer. In addition, Paramount said they would not be responsible for any damage to our new custom made vanities. Fortunately, we have found another stone fabricator to complete our project. Our general contractor was able to have his two workers remove the two countertops without doing any damage in less than 90 minutes, including putting down protective paddings on the floor and cleaning up. Our contractor, who does a lot of remodeling of kitchens and bathrooms was appalled at the way this was handled by Paramount and said he will never give them business again. Look elsewhere to avoid having the same experience we had.

While we got quotes and met a number of contractors and construction companies, Carlos-Waypoint home improvement was most professional of all from the inception--providing a clear explanation of services based on the scope, transparent in dealings and meeting the timelines. Carlos is mindful of customer time and an astute professional who doesn't exaggerate and then reduces the price quote. It is apparent that Carlos has significant years of experience in remodeling the bathrooms, tile work, replacing or putting vanities or replacing lighting and faucets. He could easily draw a rough design for our 4 bathrooms, assisted in suggesting the right material for remodeling without focusing much on his own interest of increasing scope of work. Carlos and his team did a phenomenal job with lighting, tile work, putting the vanities and paint. During the work, there was leakage in one of the bathroom and being a licensed water restoration expert, Carlos was easily able to spot the problem and took appropriate steps fixing the problem making us comfortable as compared to some of the other organizations who like to panic the customer first and adopt unfair means. I would highly recommend Carlos- waypoint home improvement to anyone who is looking for skilled services , honest dealings and getting the work completed within timelines and agreed budget.
