My friend bought me a one hour massage as a gift. I called and left a message. Nothing. For two weeks. Nothing. My friend called her and she said she had never received a call or message. I called again (double checked, same number) and immediately received a text from Sara saying that text was a better way to get ahold of her. I guess I should have known. I sent her a text. A week went by. Nothing. I called and received a text while leaving a message. We exchanged texts and settled on a day two weeks from then at 10 am. I took that morning off, travelled on a train and a bus and walked two blocks. Nothing. Nobody answered the door, text, or call. I left after 20 minutes in the cold. 2 hours later a received a text from Sara, apologizing, saying that for reasons unknown, she had written down noon instead of ten. She said she is usually organized but Mercury is in retrograde. You got to be kidding me. What a stupid flake. Thanks for respecting my time, and ruining my friends gift all at once. Incidentally, I tried telling my boss that I missed the morning of work because Mercury was in retrograde. It didn't work. read more
