After a 2 1/2 year hiatus due to poor customer service my son asked me to meet him here for lunch. We were promptly seated and the service was good. I ordered my usual Tuscan goat cheese salad and my son got the chopped citrus salad with ahi tuna. We both really enjoyed our meals. Our cappuccinos were perfectly made. I would have loved to top off the meal with a chocolate croissant but I'm trying to watch the carbs. I'm glad I tried Saquella again. read more

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday because it was full so I assumed it was great. It was definitely not bad, but I'm not sure I would be back. For starters, we ordered coffee, iced americano and double macchiato I would probably rate it a 5/10. The service was good but the food took a little longer than expected, like 45 minutes. But, our server brought us a bread basket while we waited for our food. I ordered the Vito omelette and my boyfriend had The David. Both were just okay, I felt like they were missing something, seasoning maybe, and my boyfriend said the same. We didn't try the pastries, but they did look good. Overall, a little underwhelming but not bad. read more

Great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch! I have been here a handful of times in the past couple years and have never been disappointed with the taste of their menu items! This is definitely a popular spot for brunch on the weekends, so don't be surprised to have a little bit of a wait. My go to drink is the chai latte, the large is a very generous portion size and can actually last for your entire meal. All of their food is fresh and there's a little cafe inside with fresh pastries and other food items.Favorite breakfast item is the "South Beach Benedict Bruschetta." My favorite lunch item is the "Chicken Waldorf on Muesli toast" ($10.99). I will tell you, there is a reason this is an award winning sandwich. The combination of fresh veggies & fruits into this chicken salad is a match made in heaven. This place would be 5 stars, but the service can be a little slow. I understand they can have their busy days, but I we (party of 2) were sat down at a table without our serving coming over to take any drink orders or anything until 10 minutes later. I hope that this isn't an issue next time. but it's nothing that can't be fixed! I'll be back again and give y'all an update! read more

What a Great place for brunch! Our host was wonderful. We waited briefly with mimosas. The service we had from Evelyn was also incredible and the food was out of this world!!! Fresh Olive and Red pepper tapenade, an amazing omelette, fresh crusty bread, fresh mozzarella, brie, feta and bottomless mimosas!!! It was Delicious!!! Too full to try the beautiful pastries and gelato but We will be back! SOON!!! read more

Good cuisine does not have to be expensive and Saquella is a great example of that. It's a good cafe tucked away in the "other plaza" off Federal hwy in Boca Raton. The staff is first class as is the food. I had the Egg, Meat & Cheese Croissant that costs 5.99. Every ingredient was fresh and tasted like something that should coast a lot more.. But please don't raise the price! Lol It's so nice to be able to afford this great tasting food. read more

Starting off with a 5 star. This was my first visit And it won't be my last. Food, service and seating area were all great. Friendly greeting as we entered, quick waitress service to the table and a quick turn around on the hot, freshly brewed coffee. If you are a coffee drinker you will appreciate the flavor of this roast. Decided to have breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Also tried the warmed up chocolate croissant. The Croissant alone may be enough to get you back. The French toast monte cristo was outstanding. Fresh, tasty and filling. Avocado toast was another nice choice. The menu selection tends to lean on the healthier side of choices. Breakfast, Lunch, dessert or just coffee. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Inside and outside seating options. Not the place it once was. The food has taken a nose dive in quality. The new ownership needs to learn how to act in a place of business. Using foul language in front of customers and especially children is terrible. If you are having a so called bad day. Take your phone calls in the back of the house. Not where customers are seated, and never scream out curses. Or call a woman vile names. Sad to say. This place is not long to stay in business. I feel bad for the staff. There are some really good and nice people who have worked there for a long time! read more

I've tolerated the surly management and staff behind the bakery counter, run-down atmosphere and wobbly tables for years because I loved the almond croissants and delicious coffee. However, after reading about the filthy health code violations and live roaches roaming around the cooking areas, I feel totally betrayed. As a local, I'll never step foot in this dump again. A clean environment is the absolute MINIMUM you can do for your customers. read more

Great cafe in Boca shopping center... they make a really solid latte. They have several dairy and nondairy milk options available. The pastries and food looked delicious. And the service is super friendly. We sat outside under the covered awning area which was lovely. A definite destination if you're looking for a coffee and sweet treat. Wish I could give less than a 1 star review. The owner is the most disgusting human being you can ever meet. That alone is a reason not to go. Besides his bad taste I saw him eating behind the counter then went on to lick his fingers then reorganize the pastries... talk about a health code violation. Not only is the disgusting but while on that matter they have a roach problem that they can't seem to get under control. I can also never support someone who is verbally abusive to his staff. I heard him say to a young waitress stop being a stupid b*tch. The food is subpar and all the prices went up. If you want a good meal with happy welcoming environment this is the last place I would ever choose. read more

I have been a longtime customer and Sequella was one of my favorite restaurants. That is no longer the case. The service has always been hit or miss, which I have learned to accept. However, until recently the food was always excellent and fairly priced. It now appears the food and baked goods have declined in taste and quality, and prices have risen. I was also unpleasantly surprised by the manager, who sat down at the table next to me and had a loud, crude personal conversation with the patrons sitting there. Disappointed! read more

I really like this little scratch kitchen restaurant café I've been there for lunch and dinner always a good meal the wait staff is very friendly for dinner I had the salmon delicious I love the roasted sweet potatoes also had the tuna which was also very good and everything is moderately priced other people that we were eating with had the chicken and they also enjoy that and the best of all is dessert Too many choices to tell you which ones the best!! you can pick from the case it is outstanding anything you pick !!I highly recommend it for a light dinner or a lunch they also have a liquor license and the coffee is also very good read more

-Got there early on Sunday at 12:30 to see if I could make a reservation, they said first come first served; -Party was ready at 1pm, waited until 1:45 to get seated, they kept saying it would only be ten more minutes but they didnt actually know. -sat down and waited until 2, ordered our food, got bread, but was they were missing silverware for two people, that we didnt get until after the food was prepared, had to wait for over 50 more minutes for our drinks and food to come out. Burgers on two orders were missing parts of the order, someone in our party never got their drink, (they were out of both bacon, lemonade and iced tea), - stay away from here during sunday brunch, too many people and not enough room to take care of everyone. -got out of there at 3:30, nice people and area but not worth the price/hassle! read more

We had been to a breakfast restaurant in the same shopping center several times. This place looked interesting so gave it a chance. Very disappointing. We ordered then waited over an hour and fifteen minutes and still no food on a Sunday around noon. We ordered fresh fruit with yogurt and granola and a David omelette. Wait staff was friendly but this long of wait is not acceptable. We arrived around 12:20 pm. Order placed at 12:27 pm per receipt. - Waiter stopped by twenty minutes later apologizing for the wait. He said it would be a bit longer. At 1:30 pm we asked for the bill after we saw a large group of young adults, who arrived long after us, get a sandwich order and we still had no food. At 1:45 pm the bill arrived after we asked for it multiple times. As we left, after paying our bill, another couple sitting a few tables away asked if we ever got our food. They said they had also complained multiple times as it took them one hour and fifteen minutes to get their food. We're giving two stars instead of one as a nod to the friendly wait staff. read more

The best place for coffee in Boca Raton in South Florida and now they're open for dinner from 5 to 10 seven days a week the best Italian food I've ever had been from Italy Rome. One of my favorite lunch spots! The Waldorf Chicken Sandwich is the best. I have never order anything different from Saquella because it is just that good. I always get a raspberry ice tea and the occasional cannoli when I am feeling something sweet! Most of the time I order over the phone and come it to pick up- when I do the service is great! Now...when I eat in the service seems to be frustrating. They are often very busy which is part of it, but most of the time they just aren't all there...because I love the food so much and outside seating area I look past it and when meeting others who know of Saquella it's usually sparks a laugh when talking about the service. Since 1856, the Saquella family from Pescara, Abruzzi, Italy, has been roasting one of the most unique boutique coffees in the world. Our Baristas are trained to prepare Cappuccinos like you see in the movies. At Saquella Cafe, we make everything fresh in house, from braising our own Roast Beef, roasting our vegetable Antipasti, and making our own pesto.

With many years in the restaurant business & travelling the world, I got into the habit of starting my day with a delicious, creamy cappuccino. In 2005 when we opened the doors of Saquella Café, in Boca Raton With trendy décor and friendly staff, we quickly became a neighborhood sensation and opened our second store, Prosecco Café in Palm Beach Gardens, Both Restaurants have an in-house bakery as well as a scratch kitchen stocked with only the freshest, top quality ingredients. A healthy alternative to the fast food culture was our motivation, and we made the conscience decision to be a "No Fry Zone". Our menu consist of yummy, guilt-free options- as pleasing to the eyes as they are to the palate. With unique gluten free side choices and health options available.

In the past 30 years, Avi Sekerel was a Chef & Restaurant Owner of more than 11 restaurants, a consultant and a teacher trainer in the culinary field. Avi has started his career as a student in a unique international program combining the traditional approach of Swiss hospitality at César Ritz Private School in Switzerland with the savvy business approach of the Business School at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. In addition to his extremely diversified culinary experience and knowledge, Chef Avi was also trained as a Wine Sommelier, a Chocolatier, a Gelato Maker, and in the field of Butchery.

"Oh my god- they have the fruit that's going viral on TikTok. We have to try it!" I'm not one to say no to a 15 year old for anything that's going viral on TikTok so stepped inside this adorable cafe and placed an order for the viral mango. I almost passed out when they rang me up for $18 for a tiny dessert, but I guess it is famous. They put it on a plate at the register and when I reached for it said "oh we'll bring it to you." Perhaps the handing of the pastry is part of the $18 fee. We found a table and 30 seconds later the infamous mango appeared in front of us. It took us about 3 minutes to eat and it was tasty- a hard shell, mango inside and maybe some custard. We both decided it was very good, but not $18 good. I"m glad we tried it, but I probably wouldn't get the viral fruit again for the price alone. However, I did find this cafe to be adorable and would stop back in here the next time I'm in Atlantic Avenue for other treats. Hopefully the non viral pastries aren't priced quite as high.

I had called the day before to order an apple pie, and they were able to make it in time for my event. I've also ordered a Key lime pie in the past which was a huge hit. It's just so nice to find a place that makes pies and does them well! They also make mini pies, so you can try their different flavor flavors and see what you like the most. The woman behind the counter was really friendly and patient, given it took me some time to choose from all their wonderful items. For 15 years, I've been a loyal customer of Saquella Cafe, and I'm so excited to tell you about the amazing changes the cafe has recently gone through. The service and atmosphere had been declining over the years, but as of December 30, 2023, everything turned around for the better. At first, there was a bit of tension with all the changes happening, but by the third week, I was blown away by the improvements. The service became more attentive, the staff was incredibly professional, and the food quality was beyond my expectations. My usual breakfast of egg, meat, and cheese with a cappuccino was served with beautiful presentation and tasted absolutely delicious. And let me tell you about the bread pudding that the new owner, Wolf, added to the menu - it's seriously addictive! Speaking of Wolf, the new owner, he has truly made a positive impact on the cafe. You can see his passion for enhancing the dining experience in every detail. And I have to give a shoutout to the amazing staff, including Bella, Michael, and Daniel, for their exceptional service. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the incredible changes at Saquella Cafe. We wanted to give this place a 5 Star and would of if not for the rudeness of the manager. We had a business dinner with our CPA on 01/05/18 (note our CPA eats here all the time). The waiter was great, the food was delicious. We arrived there around 8ish and there were several other tables there and their hours listed on the internet stated they closed at 11:00pm on Friday. We had dinner, teas, wine and by 9:45 were finishing up and ordering coffees. All of a sudden the Manager stands in between several tables of patrons and screams verbatim "we close at 10 and you cannot stay here and party, so leave" there were people drinking wine at other tables and we were served our coffees in a to go cup as per the manager's request because he stated nobody was allowed to stay in the restaurant past 10:00 pm. We had already requested our bill, and it was 10:02 when he made his announcement. When questioned by my CPA, he was rude and his tone was condescending and he said our waiter should of refused to serve us the coffee. I have never in my life been kicked out of a restaurant. This place would of been a new go to place for us but I just can't get past how extremely rude this manager was and how badly he treated all the customers there. If the owners aren't aware of this they are losing a lot of business because of this person and if they do know maybe they don't care about their business. Either way, we won't be going back. Do not go here for dinner! The service was horrible. I've been to saquella many times but only for breakfast. This was our first dinner experience. The waitress took over ten minutes to bring us water. We ordered an antipast plate as an appetizer and my girlfriend ordered a chicken caprese sandwich while I ordered the fish special and two glasses of wine. The appetizer came out at the same time as the fish and sandwich. Our table looked as though four people were dining there with all of the food. When I told the waitress that our appetizer was indeed an appetizer and should have come out prior to our food she said and I quote "well...enjoy". It was outrageous. She made no effort to help or rectify her error. At this point we were appalled. The antipasti dish tasted as though the food came out of a can. The eggplant was not fresh, and the red peppers were definitely a premade store bought version. The only thing enjoyable about our meal was the bread and prosciutto. The experience was so poor we left without finishing our food and it has turned me off to the idea of even going there for breakfast ever again after how terrible of an experience we had. We've been coming here for years and it is one of our regular breakfast spots in Boca. Just a short bike ride away from our home across the street from the intra-coastal. Their cappuccinos are the best in town and always have been. Only those at the Cheese Course come in at a close second. It is a European style cafe so it's not the typical American breakfast, but the food they serve is top notch. This is the kind of place you go if you want salmon for breakfast or granola and Greek yogurt. Great sandwiches for lunch too. For many years they had an infamous rep for slow and sometimes chaotic service. In recent months however some very positive adjustments have been made to both the service and the menu. Mark as one of the morning managers has a much needed hands-on approach, and helps with the service before it has a chance to lag or slow down. As new eateries open up it's good to see one of our old favorites staying viable by making improvements where they were most needed. read more

My friend and I dined there today for the first time. It was extremely crowded and over packed full of people. There was no way that people were 6 feet apart. Very very loud. The bathroom toilet did not flush. We waited an hour and a half to get our food. I ordered a salad . My friends order came before mine as I sat and watched her eat for 20 minutes. I finally had to eat some of her lunch because I get low blood sugar. I explain to the part manager/investor That we were very unhappy. He used the excuse that they had a big party come and sit downstairs. Why does that mean that his other customers have to be ignored? He came upstairs and agree to comp her meal after trying to explain why our food was so late. When I looked at him and said why is that my problem? He turned away and said out loud that we have attitude and walked away I have never witnessed a grown man acting like a teenager before in my life while trying to run a restaurant. read more
