9:20 a.m. and store is closed. Update your hours or be open when you say you are. This is as basic as it gets.

I love this place They have a wide variety of items. The customer service is always 10/10. They also are willing to give deals out to loyal customers! read more

I bought a volcano vaporizer from Hari. I called a few places, then i called here. His son said they had it in stock. I spoke to Hari when i got there. I was hesitant on buying the volcano vaporizer because of the hefty price tag of $500. Hari pulled up a few different websites and the prices were about the same. He made me feel comfortable, he told about how much money I'd save by buying this. I love my volcano vaporizer, great service. Thanks! read more

Sapphire Smoke Shop - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Berkeley, California

Usually they don't do returns but my man helped me out with an exchange which was nice. Very friendly

these guys lied to me said they sent my smokes via fed ex they never did send it the created a shipment that's never shipped I'm so angry

A quick stop for a few supplies. Received friendly service and my goods were at a fair price. Even though it's a smoke shop, the cashier even stepped outside to vape. It is Berkeley. read more

They had what I was looking for, and more. Pleasant transaction around 6 in the evening. There's a Covid setup so one can't wander in, but entrance is offered to customers who are so inclined. Nice guy on a Friday. read more

Great family business!! I drive from Oakland every time I break bong parts. Helpful, kind, and great conversation. I've gone to other smoke shops but this one always gets me to come back. read more

Amazing staff, super helpful and kind! A great little store. And a massive thanks from DKA for allowing us to film inside and behind the counter for our 24 hour film challenge! We were in a massive bind for shooting locations and this store really pulled through for us. I can't thank them enough--definitely a great place to shop. read more

This is, hands down, the best smoke shop in ALL of Berkeley. I have lived in SF, OAK and BERK collectively for over 6 years and consider myself a connoisseur of fine gifts. Hari's shop not only has the best selection of fine tobacco and medical cannabis consumption products but also plenty of counter-culture friendly gifts. He always makes the customer feel comfortable in the store and has a vast knowledge of tobacco and e-cigarette products. You'll never feel rushed or stared at like you're a thief as I've experienced in other shops. A true value to the businesses of Berkeley. The shop owner is non-judgmental and always honest when I've asked about his ability to match competing shop's pricing. He sold me a Volcano vaporizer for $100 less than a shop just down Telegraph Ave! Come here if you want kind-karma service instead of being treated like a street rat like some of the other shops in the area treat their customers. You'll find more high-quality tobacco and medical herb products here rather than mass amounts of cheap Chinese-imported glass. Many local brands like Plume and PAX and high end vaporizers to choose from. PS They also sell some snacks and drinks which has come in handy from time to time when on the rush to a JAM session1 ;) read more

Wholesale Price Cigarettes and Supply is a family owned business located on telegraph avenue (across from buffalo exchange and three doors up from The Patient's Care Collective."). The prices are always the lowest in Berkeley for cream chargers (huge selection), tobacco and e-cigarettes. Parking is in front and simple. On Telegraph where the traffic flows both ways. They are open till 10:00 pm 7 days a week. read more

Sapphire Smoke Shop - Hari always greets his customers with a smile!!! - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Berkeley, California

Originally I bought a cheaper Wolf mod here. It sucked. It never worked. This was not the owner's fault. He tried to get me to buy the Pax. He even showed me how much tobacco he could pack in there and how smooth it was... but I wanted to save money so he suggested this. I should have listened. Anyway, I take the vaporizer home and charge the thing. It never turns on. I call the company and get the worst service possible. My partner calls the smoke shop and they say to bring it back if I haven't used it. I speak to a woman who I am assuming is the guy's wife. She asks me if I used it and inspects it. I somewhat jokingly say to her, "why do you guys sell this crap? this version of their product has horrible reviews online." She laughs. We work it out that they will take the cheap vape back and charge me the difference for the Pax. It worked out smoothly. I was very happy. I also bought some incense from them. They have a great selection of incense. They also have some cool clothes and other products. Nice little local smoke shop with great service. I noticed that there is also a medical cannabis dispensary a few doors down and another smoke shop. If you are looking for something to use to take your medicine, go here and not the one a little further down. They are cheaper and friendlier. read more

Finally a good shop in the area. I was helped by two employees who I assumed were the owners. Not only were they kind and could answer all my questions, but they were completely transparent. I will definitely be coming back to this shop compared to the few in the area! Thank you!! read more

I love this shop. Hari, the owner, will take good care of you! I work in the neighborhood, and started stopping in for odds and ends. I brought in some vintage lighters and he was able to make them start working again! Not only does he know what he's doing, but he's very kind and easygoing. He offers a great selection of smoking accessories: papers, tobacco, vaporizers, lighters, pipes, lots of fun things. I always come in for Raw papers, of which there is a huge selection. The shop also has some drinks and snacks (including Red Bull). Helpful, friendly, great prices--a hidden gem of Berkeley! read more

Staff sold me a broken product and would not replace it the same day (same staff who sold it to me were even there when I returned). Tried to get me to buy another one!! The nerve! Very not cool. Waste of money and time. I was becoming a regular but will not be visiting this store again and advise against it if you want to be treated well! read more

I got my first electronic hookah from here! The owner was nice enough to walk me through the loading and charging of my hookah. He even offered to charge it for me while I shopped (had to pass on that). I really appreciate the time and advice because I was completely lost; admittedly walking in on a whim. read more

Henry, the owner of the shop, is the man. Always reliable, friendly guy and has good prices. Not really much else you ask for!

On the 19th of this month my friend and I wanted to get a birthday gift for our mutual friend so we looked up this place on Yelp and decided to take her here. So glad we did! They had a nice selection and we bought four pieces that day (two for my friend and two for myself - they had an elephant pipe!! My favorite animal...) all for a great price. Hari was super nice and helped us out with all our questions (and gave us a little extra gift!). When ever I'm in the area I am definitely going back to Smoke and Gift! read more

I can be an annoyingly difficult customer. I have a hard time making up my mind and want to buy everything but usually end up buying only a few things. That did not stop me from getting phenomenal customer service and patience. Along with being Educated on products I didn't even know existed, Never was a pressured to buy. I enjoyed my experience way more than I thought I would. Would highly recommend to a friend read more

If you're a hookaholic like me, then this place is perfect. Absolutely the best prices around for shisha or coals. Since I found it, its now the only place I go for hookah supplies. They also had some gorgeous hookahs for sale and the manager was very nice as well. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Hari was really helpful and patient when me and my friend went in to buy our nicotine vapes. He gave us the best prices that we could find in Berkeley, I will definitely be going back to to shop time and time again. This place really gives you the experience of being in a warm neighborly shop. Hari all the way!!! read more

Nice place, well stocked, super nice guy who runs the place. AND the curator makes it a point to order good quality products and even he has a low quality product HE WARNS YOU BEFORE YOU BUY IT. That's the kind of honest business I will go Out of my way to support read more

Let me just start by saying that I don't frequent smoke shops very often, when I do however it tends to be a less than pleasant experience, the merchants often try to pressure me into sales, overcharge, and all the while act like they're doing me some huge favor. Smoke and Gift was nothing like that, Hari was very honest, straightforward, and friendly. He had the exact product I was looking for and showed me the online prices as well so I knew I was getting a fair price. The shop is very cleanly and organized and has a wide variety of smoking apparatuses and other gifts, also a great cigarette selection. I would absolutely recommend Smoke and Gift for anyone looking for a super chill smoke shop without all the BS and games. Thanks Hari! read more

Hari is my boy! Super kind and friendly and treats us well as customers! Recommend!!!

These people are a scam I bought a hookah thinking I got a really good deal. The owner of this place was bragging how his prices are the best on the Avenue. After I bought the hookah I was checking the prices on a different stores on Telegraph Avenue which I should have done before. At my surprise I found better sélection and better prices than this store read more

The owner helped me out and I'm extremely satisfied with the customer service! He was very knowledgeable and even gave me a couple of freebies at the end of my purchase. The prices were reasonable and this is a local owned business. I'm the type of person who continually goes to one place if I find that the place is great; I think I found my new shop! I highly recommend this store! read more

Sold me a water pipe that broke within 2 days. Used it once, had it stored on my desk. Thing grew a crack that snapped the thing in half like magic. I've never seen anything like it. To be fair, how on earth would the shopkeeper know that would happen? On the other hand, its a little too convenient that it broke in 2 days. Wouldn't recommend. You could do much better in less than a mile radius. read more

Wow! Great shop, GREAT owner ... ask for Hari 'cause he'll get you set up just right with whatever you need!!!

Great selection at good prices. Hari was helpful and knowledgeable.

Bought some great stuff here. Walked in not knowing much about anything and the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. He showed me an array of products and explained to me the pros and cons of each one. He was very patient while I made my decisions. I felt comfortable asking questions and felt that I ultimately made the best choice for myself. Will definitely be coming back here for more stuff! read more
