It was my go-to spot in Downey for years, especially…read morebeing Mexican- owned, and I stayed loyal even through small issues over time because I'm not the type to make a big deal out of things. That loyalty clearly meant nothing. Recently, I had an item done (not naming what it was), and they did it wrong. When I went back to have their mistake fixed, instead of owning it, I was met with attitude like it was somehow my fault or like I should've just taken the loss. After nearly two decades of giving them my business, that's the treatment I got. On top of that, their prices have gone up significantly. I understand everything costs more nowadays, but when other cleaners in Downey are offering better service and better prices, there's no excuse. That interaction was the last straw. After years of loyalty, this place made it very easy to take my money elsewhere. I've already found a new cleaners in Downey that values customers and gets the job done right. No hard feelings.

When I asked why, she pointed out that the color was an unusual shade of blue and she would have to get thread to match. I was preparing for a trip so I agreed. When I picked up the top a few days later, it was clearly a lighter shade of blue, making the stitching very noticeable. While I'm not too picky, the fact that I had to pay $15 for a small alteration to a $25 top was irritating. I sew sometimes and anyone with experience knows that a darker thread will hide better than a lighter one. I really feel taken advantage of and cheated because the seamstress didn't even bother to do a halfway decent job. There are lots of places in Downey that do small sewing fixes but Model is closest to me and I've been going there for over 10 years for dry cleaning etc. Never again!

This is the only place he trusts with his suits and ties, and also his special buttercloth shirts. The man i see a lot in there is always kind and welcoming. Ive had a few shirts altered by him and intend to do more. He is excellent and everything is always ready when he says. Its reasonably priced. The only bad thing is i think they shrank one of my sweaters BUT that thing is finicky and i think i can fix it. So no harm done really; i had another place that shrank the same sweater WAY worse, which is how i know its the sweater. Ah well. Just be careful of your angora blends and that goes for everywhere. Otherwise highly recommend!!
