SBTC is my favorite Santa Barbara destination! Shane and Chris helped me get over my crippling fear of trapeze and give it a go on my 40th birthday! I've never done anything so outside of my comfort zone and it honestly changed me as a person. Not only was I energized and adrenalized for literal days, but I proved to myself that I can do ANYTHING! And now onto my daughter's experience at Santa Barbara Trapeze Co. My 12 year old has finally found her "thing"...and there's no looking back! The crew at SBTC truly understands the importance of fostering confidence in their students. My daughter has grown leaps and bounds when it comes to her self-love & self-confidence. She feels nurtured, cared for, safe, motivated, supported, and celebrated. It just doesn't get any better than that. Words can't describe how eternally grateful I am for SBTC.

I have been driving by this Trapeze spot for ever and finally went in while we had family from out of town. We signed our 5 nieces and nephews up (ages 5-10) and they all LOVED it. The staff were so kind, helpful, patient and safe with the kids. One of the kids was afraid of heights and they helped him overcome his fear which was so inspiring.

If you're thinking about going trapezing, stop thinking and just do it. Fun for all ages, Shane and his crew will make sure you have a great time no matter your age or ability level. Trapeze can be for anyone! In a regular two hour beginner class, you'll learn a basic hang, a knee hang, and maybe even a catch. Each time, you'll feel more and more confident and you'll shock yourself with what you're able to do! The staff at SBTC sure know how to make you feel safe when jumping off the platform and hurdling through the air. Not gonna lie, it's absolutely terrifying when you lean out and reach for that bar for the first time but once you jump, it's the most exhilarating and addicting feeling. I've taken two flight lessons here now and Eric was one of our instructors that stood out both times who made sure we felt confident and safe practicing the flying positions on the floor first. He is high energy, goofy, and makes sure guests have a great time. Whether you're looking to entertain a group of kids or friends, team building, or try a new hobby, you should check this place out!

My daughter has been flying with them for about 5 months now and my son just started trampoline/parkour, and we are huge fans. The environment, people, peers, and experience is beyond compare and has done amazing things to support our family. Recently we also hosted our daughters 13th birthday party with SB Trapeze and had 10 kiddos, most of our guests were new to flying. The co-owner and trainers were incredible with each and every kid and gave each an incredible opportunity to try new things, grow, and shift their perspectives on doing hard things and tackling flying 20+ feet above the ground. I would highly recommend SB Trapeze for camps, consistent after school activities, and parties for people of all ages.

This weekend I got to do something that I've had on my mind only since this past January. I never even considered doing anything like this before. But when we got to the Santa Barbara Trapeze Co. I was asked by a few instructors about how I found them. I told them Well, first Google. And maybe it's cliche or cheesy but I've been listening to a lot of David Goggins and others who's message is essentially Life is short - Do the things that scare you. And this SCAAAARRRREEEED me to pieces! So in January, I decided to look up flying trapeze, I wrote down on my calendar Weekend in Santa Barbara, dinner, flying trapeze for my 40th. Friday at 4 was my booked class. I slept awful the night before. I woke up around 6:20 in the morning and went for a walk and did some yoga on the beach. I really wasn't nervous surprisingly all day. My husband and I got there first before my inlaws with the kids. It wasn't until I was belted in (tightly!) and it was my turn that my body turned into a percolator. Those that know me, know I am PETRIFIED of heights. I cry on ferris wheels and gondolas. So halfway up the ladder on my first round I started shaking so hard I made the platform shake. My head said STOP. YOU DONT HAVE TO DO THIS. And I went up rung by rung. I death gripped the ladder. I don't know how I grabbed the bar. I don't know how I put a second hand on it. My rational mind knew I was securely fastened in. I was extremely safe and watched over. The instructors knew it. But my deep set fear was strong and taking over. And yet.... I jumped. I DID IT!! And I honestly don't remember the first jump lol. There were 5 year old and 9 year old sisters absolutely slaying it. Climbing up and jumping off with NO FEAR. And I was the almost 40 year old shaking ninny taking my time trying not to hold my breath. But I am PROUD. Really fricking proud of myself. My kids got to see their mom doing something that scared her, but she persevered. I couldn't get myself to let go of the bar with the knee hang (petrified brain wasn't letting me), but this won't be my last time flying the trapeze. I loved it! So I'll do it again. The instructors - Bre, Chris, Cooper were absolutely phenomenal. So encouraging to everyone. Kind and patient and I honestly felt they were truly invested with my succeeding, yet also letting me go at my pace with no pressure. They know what they're doing and they do it flawlessly. And the best part was when we were walking away and one of the instructors, Drew, said Who's carrying the boat?!( Goggins reference) I AM!!

This place is amazing. We have been here twice now for our daughter who is 10. She first went when she was 8 and really wanted to do this but was very scared and apprehensive once it started. The staff was amazing to get her to try and our daughter saw success. This got her to be more confident in trying things that were uncomfortable and then she was doing so much more the second time we took her. We do not live in Santa Barbara but our son goes to college there. She will most likely do classes here when we drive over to see him. She most recently did one day of a week long day camp and asked if we would allow her to do the entire week next time

An hour of later you're flying in the air with the greatest of ease...

The instructors I had at this studio were some of the kindest and most supportive I have ever had! They listened to all my questions, helped with all my "problems" and encouraged me to keep at it. If I could, I would be here daily! I can't wait to sign up for each and every class and every time I leave the studio, I can't wait for the next session! Prices are also extremely reasonable for what they offer. I would recommend this studio to everyone who wants to try a new type of dance, or exercise, that is loaded with fun and excitement!

I come from a 13+ year dance background and had tried pole dance classes a handful of times before deciding to purchase my membership. That said, you do not need to have an athletic/dance background or be any specific age to try pole dance or aerial arts, since pole is for EVERY body and every level of athletic ability. After going through a rough end to 2019, I was looking for a new hobby to occupy my time. I wanted something that would challenge me both physically and mentally. While pole dance is difficult can be painful at first, through excellent coaching and mental perseverance, I have transformed my body, gained strength, self-love, and have met incredible humans from all walks of life. I came for the workout and stayed for the vibes. This studio offers all kinds of unique classes with new classes constantly being added to the schedule. Pole choreography, tricks, spins, conditioning/fitness, technique, burlesque, belly dance, aerial silks, lyra hoop, flexibility, flow props, and so much more. There are classes offered at all times of the day to accommodate any schedule (including evenings and weekends for my fellow m-f 9-5 working folks). There are also so many options for purchasing classes. Just go to the website and you'll see that you can pay for an individual class, package of classes, or monthly, 6-month, or 1-year unlimited membership. Registration is through the MINDBODY app/website which is super easy to use. First timers, get there early so you have time to street park. There are specific shoes made just for pole dancing so don't bring any street heels. If you want to try dancing in pole heels (which you totally should even if it seems intimidating), there are plenty of all sizes and styles to try! I recommend boots over sandals for extra ankle support and stability. The instructors here are so kind and encouraging. I've tried to take classes with almost every instructor and have found that I've learned something new and different from everyone. Try taking classes with different instructors and you will surely find ones that you connect with! The studio hosts showcase performances a few times a year where students and instructors can invite family and friends to see their art. This is a really fun time to bond with other folks at the studio and perform! The environment is so welcoming, you feel like you're part of the seventh dimension family the second you walk in the door. The studio owners Harmony and Jezaira have done everything to make this space feel like home. If you're thinking about trying pole dance, this is your sign! You have no idea what you're capable of until you try.

Every exhibit actually keeps them engaged not just looking, but doing. The interactive tables (like the spinning drum and dice games) were a hit. Pricing was reasonable for what you get abbout $25 for adults, $20 for kids, and under 2 is free, which is nice. Staff was friendly and everything felt well-maintained. I figured out it was the Moxi. I guess it make quite the impression on her last year. The museum had some new exhibits this time around. They added a fun ball launcher that I also enjoyed as well. The water exhibit could use some love. Some of the hydraulic levers was either not working or you had to really work at it. My toddler was not strong enough to use them. One thing I like is that we were able to leave and come back after lunch. We got to make the most if our trip. I'm sure we'll ge back next year.
