Great ambiance, especially with the fire creating a cozy atmosphere in the background. The staff is absolutely fantastic, and the music playing adds perfectly to the vibe. There are plenty of seating options, including tables and comfortable lounge areas. Even on Christmas Eve, it was a wonderful environment to meet with friends or coworkers for drinks or dinner. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a laid-back yet upscale setting with a great mix of patrons.

Nice quaint brunch. Had to get my steak redone because it was overcooked in my opinion, but the second steak came out to perfection. Customer service vary courteous suite, and kind. Great location if you are staying at the Ritz Carlton or if you're actually shopping in the mall.

This restaurant is very convenient if ur staying at the Ritz Carlton. A few of my coworkers and I ate there for dinner and it was a very nice experience. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive with our needs. We ordered a few bottles of wine and appetizers. I ordered the salmon which came with a slathering of well puréed sweet potatoes, which was very tasty and nicely prepared. We ordered one of each dessert and that was probably my favorite part of the meal. We shared the dessert and all of them were delicious but the apple bomb was definitely my favorite...light, just enough sweet and so yummy. The pomegranate pudding was also different. The bread pudding was the sweetest having chocolate frosting on top. The prices were as expected and wasn't too expensive. There were 9 of us so they actually sat us in our own room so that was very nice to converse and kinda have our own private room to ourselves. Very good experience.

Food was yummy, service was nice, price is very expensive. I am not docking a star because of the price, solely for the reason that we were staying at the Ritz Carlton over Fourth of July weekend and we're on club level. Because of club level, we had a $60 voucher to use every day at this restaurant. So we ended up not actually paying anything. The beet hummus, honestly just tasted like normal hummus. Other than the color I would not be able to tell a difference. Charcuterie board was yummy but again, generic. I didn't take any pictures of the actual food we ate. I should have. It was very good. Lobster Mac and cheese was a favorite, for sure. I like the lightening and decor. I wouldn't come here if I wasn't staying at the hotel, but that's just me.

Lovely space located inside the Ritz just off the Pentagon City metro. Location is convenient and the ambiance is really nice. service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. Food was good. Nothing was over the top standing out but everything was done well. Good for a nice quiet easy meal.

RC is known for their Afternoon Tea, so for Mother's Day, I wanted to connect with my babies over nice tea and bites. The receptionist was incredibly kind and understanding that we were late due to horrendous traffic. My babies got the Teddy Bear Tea and I got the regular afternoon tea. It was for sure busy over Mother's Day weekend and some of the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. The tea offerings were very limited in my opinion. I got the Blueberry White, one of my girls got Blue Eyes, and my other one got Hot Cocoa (they offer this for kiddos that don't want tea). The girls and I enjoyed our beverages. For the food, my older one and I enjoyed our scone and the savory pastries. She didn't quite enjoy anything on her Teddy Bear plate but found a lemon pastry on my rack that she absolutely loved. My little one enjoyed the fruit from the fruit tart, cupcake, and macaron from my rack. It was a nice experience, but for the (premium) price you pay and the offerings, it's really difficult to say it was worth the visit. *Complimentary valet if you do Afternoon Tea here

This was a wonderful birthday (mom's) celebrated with an afternoon tea outing at Sante. Though we were a bit overdressed compared to some other patrons, mixed with casual table setting (no white table linen), this venue was overall inclusive and diverse. The service was top notch though-our attendant was very attentive and even (graciously) allowed us to partake in extra scones :). Btw, The scones were THE best Ive tasted in all of our "high end" afternoon tea events around the city..bravo!! Highly recommend, but probably better suited for a more relaxed experience.

I booked afternoon tea for 4 guests online for the Saturday before Mother's Day. About 2 weeks later, a woman called and somewhat abruptly told me I need to prepay - because it's Mother's Day. While I have no problem with pre-paying and would have happily prepaid at the time of booking, the conversation seemed kind of strange due to the abrupt, less than friendly manner in which she talked to me and the fact that this could have happened instantly online at the time of booking. She told me she would send me an invoice. The invoice amount was $232.32 based on 4 guests or $58.08 per person. However, just before paying, I called them and asked to add a 5th person. They sent me a revised invoice for a whopping $580.80 based on 5 guests or $116.16 - double the original amount per person. When I called to sort everything out, the woman was not in the least apologetic and just stated that this is the price. So I asked for the original price and she declined. She said she'd have a manager speak with me. That manager informed me that original invoice was made IN ERROR ON THEIR PART and had I actually shown up having paid only that, they'd have charged me the remainder on site - it almost sounded like a threat. No apology or apparent remorse for making a significant financial mistake. I had also asked that since my mother uses a walker, to please seat us in a flat area (no steps) that's easy to get around - ie: not crowded with back to back tables and chairs that would be difficult for her to navigate. They did seat us right by the front door and there was plenty of space but our group included 2 seniors and literally right over our shoulder they had a musician playing some lovely music but WAY TOO LOUDLY for our senior guests to participate in a discussion over our tea. It was much more than just background music. Even for those of us not seniors it seemed ridiculously loud. The server was pleasant and brought a cocktail menu. Two guests ordered cocktails at $18 a pop before the rest of the party arrived. When the remainder arrived, the server informed us that champagne and mimosas were complimentary with the tea and asked if we would like some. Well the two that had already received their $18 drinks were kind of surprised that they weren't informed of that before paying even more than the double the original invoice amount. The actual tea service was lovely. Our server was pleasant, the treats were tasty, the tea menu included a lot of variety. We all enjoyed our time together. On departure, I had 2 valet tickets and a handful of cash. We were pre-validated as part of our tea (which I didn't know about prior to arrival on site so I'd had some questions on arrival about where to park - I wished when they called to bill me they'd told me this.) My friends car was delivered promptly but ours was significantly delayed. After about 10 minutes I asked about it because my mother needed to sit down and they seemed surprised we were still there without a car as they'd been talking amongst themselves not noticing us waiting. It took another 8 or so minutes for our car to actually arrive once I'd asked for it. They attempted to smooth things over by stocking us some cold bottled water for the ride which was a nice touch. All in all, our mothers had a nice time but the entire experience was lacking in the graciousness and intuitive service I'd expect from the brand Ritz Carlton and at a $120 per person ticket price. I'd have far preferred an independent tea house at a lower price point but was concerned about my mom's mobility and so choosing Ritz Carlton at least provided her accessibility. As someone who has worked her entire career in hospitality sales, the fact that there was an issue prior to arrival and also upon departure and the whole middle was mediocre means that my experience was bookended by issues which is a terrible lasting guest impression. I would only do it again if it was required by my guests mobility.

Customer service is where Sante shines. Within the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City, one of Arlington's only luxury hotels, Sante borrows from the Ritz's brand of impeccable service. From the moment you walk in, the host greets you by name and leads you to your table. Your server also remembers your name and gives you their undivided attention. Sante's food is Mediterranean so expect a combination of seafood and dips. Staying at the Ritz for two nights, our favorite dishes were the smoked Atlantic salmon, Sante trio (garlic hummus, muhammara, fava bean dip, grilled pita, crisp fresh vegetables), and the octopus. They have a robust kids menu and treat every child like royalty. Our seven-year-old daughter loved dining here. They have a full bar menu. The smoked Old Fashioned was fun to see the bartender create. The brunch sangria was nice and sweet. They also have fun happenings like Afternoon Tea with scones, pastries, little sandwiches and a kids version with kid items and a Teddy Bear. It makes for a fun date idea to do with your child! (Disclaimer: Sante comped our meal since we were hosted by the hotel, but did not require me to write this. I did it on my own.)

The greeter is so sweet. She answered all of my directional questions and gave me tips for walking around the city. The restaurant has a great ambiance for guests and visitors. The service was also great. The baked feta was amazing with sweet tomatoes, peppers and pistachios. The pasta is very flavorful and their desserts are always great. Add some salmon or chicken to any dish. Stop in to relax and enjoy a quiet meal on your own or at the bar with friendly guests.

This review is for Santé's afternoon/high tea. Located in The Ritz-Carlton, Santé offers an exquisite afternoon tea experience. I enjoyed every aspect of it, from their exceptional service, delicious treats, high quality teas and posh interior. The elegant atmosphere with soft music was perfect for enjoying a cozy cup of tea. The pastries blew me away. Hats off to their pastry chef - they know how to turn simple treats into something so sophisticated and delectable. My favorite sweets were the coconut cream puff and financier. The delicate cream inside the pillowy puff tasted heavenly. The soft financier paired beautifully with the chocolate and raspberry. The mini fruit tart was also delicious, with fresh fruit and a light custard filling. The macarons were soft and spectacularly crafted. The cranberry scones were very moist and fluffy. I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich, but the rest of the salty snacks were just ok to me. I liked them, but would not order them if I could pick what comes with the afternoon tea. The tiny honey jars were so cute and perfect for the tea (my boyfriend and I got our own tea pots). I can't wait to come back when their menu refreshes to try their other pastries and tea flavors! Highly recommend Santé for a stunning and relaxing afternoon tea experience.

    The afternoon tea spread.

Went to Sante for afternoon tea on a Sunday afternoon. It was hardly 25% full which was surprising. Very attentive and quick service. The menu offered a good mix of green, black, and herbal teas. I ordered Blue Eyes (herbal) and greatly enjoyed it. The only downside was that the tea was cold by the time I was halfway through the pot. For the price you pay, I wish the teapots were placed on top of warmers once they're brought to the table. The food was tasty and I was surprisingly full by the end. I don't love that most of the finger sandwiches are mayo-based salads (egg salad, chicken salad, etc.), but unfortunately that's the nature of finger sandwiches. My fave was the cucumber and avocado finger sandwich. You wouldn't think that it tastes good, but it does. The scones were also very good and much softer than I'm used to, more of a biscuit consistency. The desserts were very good too except the coconut cream puff. That one was hard to take; I left it unfinished. All in all, a nice experience that would be made better if the teapot was set on a warmer. $78 is a lot to shell out to end up with cold tea after the first 2 cups. On the plus side, your tea reservation includes free valet parking. Just be sure to get your ticket validated before you leave.

Came here for afternoon tea with some girl friends and we had a great experience! Tea and food were nice and service was good too. Ambiance was classy and elegant. It's a bit pricey but most afternoon tea spots are around here so no complaints.

Has anybody been to the afternoon tea? Is there a dress code?

Good day Stevie. There is no dress code for afternoon tea, however most of our guests do choose to dress sharp casual for the tea experience. You’re welcome to come dressed comfortably. Hope to see you soon.

Unfortunately, service started off on the wrong foot. There was a very large party already on the patio, and I was seated behind them. I waited about 12-15 minutes before the rest of my group arrived, but no server ever came by. We decided to head inside to get re‑seated, but couldn't find a hostess anywhere. We eventually flagged down a random server in the bar area and asked if a four‑top could be cleared so we could sit there instead. Thankfully, once we moved inside, everything improved dramatically. Service from that point on was attentive and friendly. The "Peoples Hour" menu was a highlight--great pricing without feeling "cheap." Appetizers were $6-10, cocktails $6-8, wines $6, and beers $6.50. The Down & Dirty (a vodka martini variation without vermouth) was solid, and the Out of the Office...Forever rum punch was decent. For food, we tried several items: - Makers Mini Nachos with steak -- Generous toppings but the chips got soggy quickly under all the queso, sour cream, and guac, which is not necessarily a bad thing. - Taco-bout Fish -- Crispy cod with a lemon aioli; one of the better bites of the night. - Drop It Like It's Hot -- Really good chicken tenders with a spicy Comeback sauce. - Lil B sliders -- Nicely cooked and not overdone; the Comeback sauce added a nice kick. The space has an upscale sports‑bar vibe with TVs above and around the bar. Seating can feel tight when it's busy, and the noise level definitely climbs, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a quieter meal. Despite the rocky start, the rest of the evening was enjoyable. Good food, great happy hour pricing, and solid service once we were settled inside. I'd return--just probably not to the patio during a big party.
