Extremely Disappointed - Poor Follow-Up and Accountability
WARNING this company is owned by Strikepoint Group Holdings which owns about 100 other brands... this is NOT the same Sansone!!!!!
I purchased a brand-new Daikin A/C unit from Sansone just two months ago--spending over $10K to avoid the stress of a breakdown during the summer. Ironically, the new unit already failed. We discovered the issue around 9pm and called immediately, since Sansone advertises 24/7 support. While the person who answered was polite and scheduled a visit for the next morning, the overnight without A/C was miserable.
The technician who arrived found that a component hadn't been installed or tightened properly, which led to water dripping onto the system board and corroding it. He managed to bypass the board temporarily, but had to remove the thermostat, leaving us with no way to control the system or even know the temperature. He promised to return later that day or at least call. He did neither.
Since then, I've called repeatedly and have been told different things--parts were ordered, a runner was picking them up, someone would call. Still nothing. The unit has now been running nonstop for days, and I can't shut it off. No updates, no urgency, no accountability.
This is unacceptable service for a brand-new system. Sansone's lack of communication and follow-through is deeply disappointing. I expected better based on all the positive reviews. Sadly, they are just as bad as the other larger companies.
Following my initial review, I was contacted by a Sansone manager two days later. She was genuinely apologetic and took full accountability for the situation. I appreciated that she didn't make excuses--instead, she listened carefully to my concerns and acknowledged where things went wrong. She also offered compensation for the inconvenience caused by the A/C running non-stop for three days, which I declined, but the gesture was noted and appreciated.
Most importantly, I shared how disappointed I was because I had chosen Sansone based on the glowing reviews about their customer service--and that wasn't my experience initially. She fully understood and reassured me that this was not typical of their service. She also offered herself as a direct escalation point moving forward, which made me feel heard and supported.
While my frustration with the initial experience remains, I do want to give credit where it's due--the management follow-up was professional, sincere, and customer-focused. I hope my situation was an isolated one and that the company continues to hold itself to the high service standards so many others have experienced.
Well I spoke too soon. The AC went again!! Yes the AC that is only 2months old broke not once but now TWICE. Three different techs have confirmed that it was an install issue. They were very quick to respond this time and even quicker to get the parts. They called to schedule me and tried to schedule me for next week and I said no I need ASAP. They put me on the calendar for tomorrow (Friday) between 10am-2pm.
Friday at 10:05am I get a call that a tech was injured and they need to reschedule me. I said absolutely not. I asked to speak to a manager and was placed on hold for 10min. The very nice lady came back and said she spoke to the manager and they would squeeze me in today between 2pm-6pm. Well that's great but I had already rearranged my work schedule for 10-2pm but I took it anyways and asked why the manager did not get on the phone with me. I asked to speak to a manager, sat on hold for 10min and no manager... I told her I had to go because I had to work but I still wanted to speak to a manager. I told her I was available between 11:30am and 1:30pm and to please have someone call me. NO ONE CALLED. This company is not well managed and clearly not client centric. I have wasted $10,000 on an AC that continues to malfunction because of their incompetence.
Its now Friday at 2:30pm and runner showed up to drop off the two new parts and said the tech will be by later... still no call.
The tech returned at about 4:30pm and was able to get us up and running. We will see how long this lasts, hopefully this is the last time and we can make it at least a year without issues, of course then we are out of warranty so not looking forward to that disaster. read more
