We've been talking for a few years about getting it restored. Upholsterers say, "You'd be better off just buying a new one" but we couldn't find one we liked. Arnold, his Dad, and their upholsterers REBUILT our chair and recovered it, mostly in leather. The patterned fabric covers the back too. And they repaired the mechanicals and re-finished the legs. We had agreed that if one hide wasn't enough to cover everything that we would use that fabric for the back and the WINGS on the sides. When they came back and said that still wasn't going to be enough and recommended the sides under the arms, I balked at first. I said the fabric was supposed to be an ACCENT if we HAD to. I felt like this was too much. 1/2 the chair was now fabric. But it was going to add ~$300 for a 2nd hide and my wife thought it would be OK so I relented. I'm glad I did. I don't think this is too much.   It IS as comfy as we had hoped. The mechanism is like silk. It feels good. It SMELLS good. Probably good for another 30 years!

The next day, the tub was all bumpy and bubbly, so I emailed him and he responded pretty promptly that he was with his father at the hospital and would get back to me the next day and schedule a time to come out and fix the tub. He didn't get back with me so a few days later I sent another email. He said he was waiting to get all of the doctor visits lined up for his 84 year old dad and he would take care of me as soon as he could. I waited several more days and then sent another email just asking him if he had any idea when he might come out...this time he didn't respond (guess our check cleared). He then never responded to emails or phone calls. I decided to try to fix it the best I could since I didn't think I would hear back from him...he had said to take wet 220 sandpaper to remove any dust that might have settled while drying...so I thought I will try it...but the paint just came off. Now I have a mess and he has our money. There is no place to add a review on his website. From further research he has caused others problems as well....just changed his name or business name. The best I can tell, his name is Johnny Ray Yarbrough....but he just said his name was John. Our check was made out directly to Ally Bank.

I paid for the "Silver Package" that was supposed to be 9 layers thick and was guaranteed to last 15+ years. He gave an electronic receipt and guaranteed a 5 yr warranty. He told me he would come make any repairs needed in that 5yrs. A year later the application started peeling, was very thin in some spots and yellowed. Where the paint is peeling is where the original tub was still in good shape with a good finish. I guess he didn't sand the original finish or "etch" it as he said was part of the process. I sent him three emails and left a voicemail to never receive a call back. Needless to say, I don't think he is going to come repair anything.
