Been coming to Sang's for about 5 years now. Started with taking my fleet vehicles for work and then mine and my mom's vehicles. Always friendly and always professional, I have never had a negative experience there. Even with the Covid issues going on today, his friendliness is still apparent. You are in and out as fast as possible & he will sanitize anywhere on your vehicle he has touched without being asked, to ensure your personal safety in this time of seriousness with a really large side of public hysteria. He can get busy, so it might be a good idea to try and call ahead if you are in a rush. (NOTE: For those with 1998 and earlier models, as of March 26, 2020, their equipment for older vehicles is Temporarily DOWN. He is hoping to have it back up and running by Monday, March 30th, 2020. Make sure if you have an early model vehicle (pre-1999) requiring that equipment, you call ahead if within this time frame...just in case. It might save you a drive). read more

Highly highly highly recommend Mr. Sang. I got an incomplete registration noti after paying online. So I researched to go get a smog check and glad I found Sang smog. I called at 8:10 to check for prices and requirements and they said to just come in and started on my inspection 15ims before they opened (lives like 2 mins away). I also had to work so he directed me to the waiting room and helped find an outlet to work remotely. He even offered me a cold water bottle. Was the third person in line, Lee got me out in about 25 minutes. Offered me a water while I waited and was very amicable. I ended up paying 45 dollars total, which was 37.75 for the smog and the 8.25 for the 45 for my Mazda. We talked while he worked and he made some suggestions as to what I could change. He does take visa and MasterCard as well as cash. If you fail you pay the initial 37.75 and then have a certain amount of days to fix and come to the retest, without having to pay the smog charge again. You just pay the 8.25 for the certificate. The area where you wait is a little couch and a couple of chairs but he gets you in and out where it doesn't even matter and he always offered the people water. Great place will be back read more

Sang is a nice guy but he isn't as knowledgeable as his 5 star score implies. Went to him for a smog check and my car didn't pass. I was told I needed to drive 60-70 miles more because my drive cycle wasn't ready. I did and came back for a second test. Honoring his word, it was free but it came back with the same result. He said it was possible there might be something wrong and to visit a smog repair shop since he only does inspections. The repair ship I visited today told me the 60-70 mile suggestion was for cars made before a certain year and I drive a car newer than that. They said 200 miles would be needed. I understand small mistakes happen but you would think someone with a 5 star average would know the difference and not waste his customers' time. read more

Looking around the area for a decent place to get my car smogged and came across this gem. It all started with a phone call and this place is definitely 5 stars. Prompt service, best pricing ($37), and no wait. It was a pleasant surprise to have great customer service from a mechanic down here. He greeted us with a handshake and handed my boyfriend and I some waters and insisted we sit down while he does his work. This is my favorite place (and actually the only place I go anymore) to get my car smog checked. It is a one-man business, and he is so friendly and personable. He does a great job, and you'll be in and out pretty quickly. You'll get a friendly greeting, and you can to sit at a little table with magazines and coffee candies while you wait. Sang is such a pleasant man. I called ahead to see if he had time to take my car in & he was so cheerful in saying yes. I was there within 15 minutes and although he was already working on a car my wait was very minimal. He gave a nice cold water bottle while I waited which was very thoughtful. All in all the test took about 20 minutes, lucky for me my car passed but he did let me know beforehand that if my car failed he would re test it for free within 30 days. My total for an 09 Camry was $45 which includes a copy of the certificate & electronic results sent to the DMV. I'm very happy with my experience & next time someone I know needs a smog check I won't hesitate in sending them to Mr. Sang! read more
