Still, I was dissatisfied enough to ask friends to refer me to another doctor. The reason was that when I went to see Dr. X, I sat in big waiting room, waited for a long time, and then was ushered into one of about a dozen examination rooms where I waited some more. Dr. X and I were just ships passing in the night. I was referred to Dr. Bressler, and at the time I think I was lucky that he accepted me as a patient. What a contrast in the way that he practices medicine. After any examination he meets with you in his office, answers all of your questions and offers advice. During that time you never feel that his attention is devoted to anything but you. In helping you consider decisions he will explain the issue without talking down to you. In our consultations he has referred me to latest published study on a particular treatment. He is extremely personable, jokes a bit, and shows true interest and empathy. The "staff" are themselves are a team of medical professionals who the most helpful and friendly that I have ever encountered. If I need something I can email his office and get a quick response. This is by far the best experience I have had with any physician and I wouldn't change for anything. One more thing, on your first visit say hello to Dr. B's dog, Izzy.

The receptionist informed me that the Doctor does not except insurance of any kind. She informed me that I would have to pay for my services in full, before leaving the practice, and it would be my responsibility to submit all charges to the insurance company for reimbursement. Uhh no thanks, that sounds like a headache waiting to happen... That's a shame he had good reviews, but something does not add up here.

Besides further research, she has referred me to specialists who she communicated with, and advocated for me when she didn't think a specialist was treating my case with the urgency she felt it warranted. She has also helped interpret other doctors' notes, lab reports & x-rays for me so that I understood what they meant. Availability has been so valuable. Every time I have called her office with some ailment, I have been able to get in to see the doctor that day. When I have sent Dr. Witman an email summarizing visits with specialists...she responded off-hours even if it was a weekend or evening. Her responses were very detailed indicating that she has studied the results from the various specialists. She truly is dedicated to delivering the highest quality personal healthcare.

I've also moved a ton so have never had a chance to develop a rapport with a Doctor until now. I have been seeing Dr. Falquier for 3 years now and LOVE her. I have been (until the last 4 weeks) been a healthy young woman and only visited her on the routine occasions for the regular check ups etc. about a month ago i developed a sever back issue that is still going on. I have seen her about 4 times in the past month as she is tireless in trying to find the right resolution for my pain. She is so friendly and understanding, I know that she has my best interest at heart. I'm also very glad at how young she is as she won't be retiring anytime soon and I hope she is my doc forever. Everyone at the downtown location is very courteous and fast, and friendly. I've hit the Urgent care 3 times and always been seen very quickly. All that aside though, Dr. Falquier rocks. If you've never had a bond with your doc I seriously recommend checking her out. Good luck!!

Another 5-star review for Dr. Falquier, but it bears repeating - she's awesome!…read more I came across her because she was in the same office as someone on the list of San Diego's best doctors. That doctor wasn't accepting new patients but Dr. Falquier was, and boy am I thankful for that. Finding a good doctor is always tough, and after a couple of false starts, I'm really happy that I found her. She's totally on the ball, makes you feel comfortable, genuinely seems to care (imagine that!), and is funny to boot. I love Dr. Falquier, and highly recommend her for anyone looking for a new primary care physician.

He gets refills done quick when I need them and most of the time I don't have to go into the office to pick up my scrips. One of the few doctors that saves paper and is helpful at finding the most cost effective ways of getting me my medication. Whenever I see him he makes certain that we touched all bases and nothing else can be done with the current visit. After seeing him for nearly 6 or 7 years, I had a life changing event and he takes even more time just to listen and make sure that he is providing the best care possible and by spending the extra minute, he once again will make sure that there isn't anything more he can do to make my life better. Although he does take insurance, he doesn't rush like most doctors to the 6 patients an hour that is required for most doctors accepting insurance. If something requires more time and attention, he will make time to help. He makes me feel comfortable about talking about even the most embarrassing issues and dealing with the situation in the most dignified manner. Finally, when he doesn't know exactly the right treatment he will refer to someone that is more knowledgeable in the field that the ailment requires. We see things the same way about drugs, meaning less is more. He doesn't have that mentality that "there isn't anything my prescription pad cannot cure". It's more of a less drugs is healthier in the long run. Plus, his signage inside every room is great. Check the pictures! So those people "shopping" for doctors this isn't your guy for getting your fix he's a doctor, not a drug pusher/dealer. All in all, I'd recommend Dr. Shamblaw as a solid base for health care for anybody. Solid GP/Family MD. Side note: sorry it took 6+ years to write my review.

She said they had a backlog of 5,000 uprocessed referrals. I can't even fathom what this would mean my healthcare needs were dire. - My PCP turned off my ability to message her after one message. - Recently I showed up for a dermatology appointment and, after disrobing and waiting, I was told I couldn't be seen that day because I had an endocrinology appointment earlier that day, completely wasting hours of my time. Yet it was someone within Perlman Clinic who had booked both appointments for me. - They have ZERO holistic options. The ONLY PCP I could find with a holistic (ie TRULY "integrative") background was fully booked out with no option for a waitlist. - The first PCP I tried with them, when I asked her "do you trust me to know my own body" looked me straight in the eye and, deadpan, said "No." Then she proceeded to get very agitated. - A recent referral was denied by my insurance and they claimed they had no interest in disputing it. - A doctor I waited a month to get in to see cancelled two hours before with no reason or apology, and bumped me right to the back of the line again, forcing me to wait another month to see her. - The endocrinologist I've been working with clearly has zero real knowledge. My research and conversation with functional doctors has shown me that if I flat out listened to her, it could be dangerous for my health. - My insurance denied thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of claims because they were incorrectly submitted. - The clinics emulate complete lack of health. Every time I have expressed concern I've been met with inauthentic, canned speech (poorly) designed to suppress people.
