I and my family are very fortunate to have him. And the office staff are great at patient care and making the impossible possible.

Dr. Shambalaw and his staff are top notch. I have been seeing him for almost ten years and could not have asked for a kinder person.

I had another primary care doctor ("Dr. X") for over a decade. Dr. X is still in practice and has…read morean excellent reputation (highly rated on Yelp too!). Still, I was dissatisfied enough to ask friends to refer me to another doctor. The reason was that when I went to see Dr. X, I sat in big waiting room, waited for a long time, and then was ushered into one of about a dozen examination rooms where I waited some more. Dr. X and I were just ships passing in the night. I was referred to Dr. Bressler, and at the time I think I was lucky that he accepted me as a patient. What a contrast in the way that he practices medicine. After any examination he meets with you in his office, answers all of your questions and offers advice. During that time you never feel that his attention is devoted to anything but you. In helping you consider decisions he will explain the issue without talking down to you. In our consultations he has referred me to latest published study on a particular treatment. He is extremely personable, jokes a bit, and shows true interest and empathy. The "staff" are themselves are a team of medical professionals who the most helpful and friendly that I have ever encountered. If I need something I can email his office and get a quick response. This is by far the best experience I have had with any physician and I wouldn't change for anything. One more thing, on your first visit say hello to Dr. B's dog, Izzy.

The receptionist informed me that the Doctor does not except insurance of any kind. She informed me that I would have to pay for my services in full, before leaving the practice, and it would be my responsibility to submit all charges to the insurance company for reimbursement. Uhh no thanks, that sounds like a headache waiting to happen... That's a shame he had good reviews, but something does not add up here.

There wasn't much street parking this morning, but you can actually park in the parking garage right before Snooze. The clinic validates parking so it should be free for an hour or so. I met with Dr. Colleen Brown and one of her specialties is skin care. You see, I had a disgusting infection on my new tattoo. She was very professional and direct. Just asked me what's wrong and prescribed me some medication. Easy peasy.

She said they had a backlog of 5,000 uprocessed referrals. I can't even fathom what this would mean my healthcare needs were dire. - My PCP turned off my ability to message her after one message. - Recently I showed up for a dermatology appointment and, after disrobing and waiting, I was told I couldn't be seen that day because I had an endocrinology appointment earlier that day, completely wasting hours of my time. Yet it was someone within Perlman Clinic who had booked both appointments for me. - They have ZERO holistic options. The ONLY PCP I could find with a holistic (ie TRULY "integrative") background was fully booked out with no option for a waitlist. - The first PCP I tried with them, when I asked her "do you trust me to know my own body" looked me straight in the eye and, deadpan, said "No." Then she proceeded to get very agitated. - A recent referral was denied by my insurance and they claimed they had no interest in disputing it. - A doctor I waited a month to get in to see cancelled two hours before with no reason or apology, and bumped me right to the back of the line again, forcing me to wait another month to see her. - The endocrinologist I've been working with clearly has zero real knowledge. My research and conversation with functional doctors has shown me that if I flat out listened to her, it could be dangerous for my health. - My insurance denied thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of claims because they were incorrectly submitted. - The clinics emulate complete lack of health. Everyone who works there looks and feels so unhappy and unhealthy. I have trouble understanding how these are the people we should be counting on for our health? - As if this list weren't long enough, there's so much more beyond this - all WAY too long to list here. Update: After posting this review, I received a phone call from someone who pretended to care. But it was crystal clear in their speech that they cared ZERO. Every time I have expressed concern I've been met with inauthentic, canned speech (poorly) designed to suppress people.

I have a lifelong resistance to doctors, lots of waiting and they see you for such a short moment…read morethat what is the point? I've also moved a ton so have never had a chance to develop a rapport with a Doctor until now. I have been seeing Dr. Falquier for 3 years now and LOVE her. I have been (until the last 4 weeks) been a healthy young woman and only visited her on the routine occasions for the regular check ups etc. about a month ago i developed a sever back issue that is still going on. I have seen her about 4 times in the past month as she is tireless in trying to find the right resolution for my pain. She is so friendly and understanding, I know that she has my best interest at heart. I'm also very glad at how young she is as she won't be retiring anytime soon and I hope she is my doc forever. Everyone at the downtown location is very courteous and fast, and friendly. I've hit the Urgent care 3 times and always been seen very quickly. All that aside though, Dr. Falquier rocks. If you've never had a bond with your doc I seriously recommend checking her out. Good luck!!

Another 5-star review for Dr. Falquier, but it bears repeating - she's awesome!…read more I came across her because she was in the same office as someone on the list of San Diego's best doctors. That doctor wasn't accepting new patients but Dr. Falquier was, and boy am I thankful for that. Finding a good doctor is always tough, and after a couple of false starts, I'm really happy that I found her. She's totally on the ball, makes you feel comfortable, genuinely seems to care (imagine that!), and is funny to boot. I love Dr. Falquier, and highly recommend her for anyone looking for a new primary care physician.

She is kind, patient, thorough, and really takes the time to listen. You never feel rushed, and she makes sure all of your questions are answered. Her office is professional, efficient, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Dr. Denysiak has a great bedside manner and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. It is not always easy to find a doctor who is both highly competent and compassionate, but she truly is both. I highly recommend Dr. Denysiak to anyone looking for a physician who is attentive, caring, and excellent at what she does.

After struggling to get doctors to take me seriously about a medical issue with family history, Dr. J is the first doctor to truly hear me out and arrange the testing I needed. She has done so on very large issues as well as minor. She is kind, quick, and so knowledgable and helpful. In the very few instances I have questioned her (really just to make sure I understood what she meant), she *immediately* provided recommendations/referrals for me to get a second opinion if I would like- her first goal is ALWAYS to make sure I get the care I need and am able to address my medical concerns how I see fit. Referrals can take awhile to come through, but calls on my end to the insurance always reveal the problem is with the insurance provider lagging. My recommendation is to communicate via MyChart, which she and Dr. Barbara do a wonderful job of corresponding on regarding appointments, online virtual visits, and addressing general questions. Dr. J has been the primary care doctor I've ever had. I would highly reccomend seeing her!

I too received the termination of care letter after over a decade with Dr. Caperna. As you can see from my prior review, I really liked Dr. Caperna, but the way his change of practice was handled was very poor. Dr Caperna is a DICK with a "God Complex" with absolutely NO PATIENCE or "Bedside manner"…read more Instead of being able to communicate, he left the room, right in the middle of our interaction, and I was left wondering why. He comes back in about 5 minutes later only for him to show that he was frustrated interacting with me... Rather than give me a chance 'do better' or apologize, or tell me what the problem was, he again threatened to leave me in the room again by myself, as if I were a child that needed a "time out". WHAT AN ASSHOLE. If this guy has no ability to "handle" a wide variety of personalities or types of people from the community, WHAT KIND OF PATIENCE does he have for "medical practice?" I simply walked out... what a shame... I was putting all my hope in him, as I felt fragile, dealing with an ongoing issue I'd been suffering from for few years now...and he came highly recommended. SO DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED. I was so nervous just to be there, challenging the diagnosis, or lack there of from another doctor... I never expected this treatment on top of the emotional and physical pain I came in there with... He either has a sever lack of ability to listen and communicate, or all this was a rude ploy to get me out of there because he didn't really want me as a new patient... either way I wish he could have just told me so, rather than have me go through all of this turmoil. I'm glad his true colors come out on the 1st appointment and not months into it. It's a shame doctors forget they are there to help people. --Congratulations, Dr. Caperna, you earned yourself my DICKHEAD AWARD, earned in less than 10 minutes. FOLLOW-UP: The person that referred Dr Caperna to me told me that Dr Caperna apologized to HIM for "things not working out". IF DR CAPERNA WAS AN HONEST PERSON AND SINCERE, HE WOULD HAVE APOLOGIZED TO ME...
