Had an amazing weekend here in October 2016. Off season, but warm, so plenty of outdoor exploring was to be had. I almost wished for a little iffy weather, because the inside of the house was so great!!! Good kitchen, decent sized dining room, but the living room really steals the show. The historic qualities of the house are enhanced by the careful decorating and furniture choices made by the proprietor, who is a knowledgeable, friendly, and all around good guy! Planning to be back next fall. Highly recommended. 2017 update: Stayed in the south unit of the house this year (came back for another year because we liked it so much!!) Equally lovely accommodations, got the iffy weather we hoped for last year... the house was perfectly warm and cozy while the Hook howled and poured. Loved having the place mostly to ourselves (the park is quite quiet this time of year) . We are looking forward what has become, for us, an incomparable annual tradition. This place is wonderful- very clean, modern, has all the necessary kitchen appliances, the plumbing works very well, there are bikes to ride and the view is fantastic! We are thinking to rent it again! read more
