What a privilege to be able to enjoy well prepared Vietnamese food served in large portions. The pork served with both #49 and 58 were both juicy, tender, well- seasoned with great depth of flavor and texture. We also enjoyed the 3 bean drink. Reminds me of the Filipino halo- halo. But briefly, we got a spring roll (I think it was the sprimp and chicken), a chicken dish (I think we got the half chicken), a pho dish and the grilled chicken and shrimp with salad and vermicelli. The spring rolls were good. Very crunchy wrapping, mixed with a fusion of veges, protein and vermicelli. The half chicken was my least favorite dish. I think it's an acquired taste, but the meat was tough to chew and the sauce was a quite tart. Combining all the factors mentioned above, it was a bit difficult to eat. The pho was good. The soup brough was warm, hearty and filling. The noodles were good too - very soft and easy to eat. The vermicelli dish was also good. Very standard protein and vege vermicelli dish. The chicken was tender and shrimp was grilled to perfection. Not a bad choice for Vietnamese cuisine in Montreal.
