It's rare these days that a service call goes SO well, that's why I felt I had to share my experience after having such terrible locksmith experiences from other companies in the Savannah area. First of all Sandfly arrived exactly when they said they would, between 20 and 30 minutes after my call, they are very presentable and courteous. My car had previously been stolen so my key situation was a mess, none of my keys worked anymore and some worked for the ignition while I had NONE that worked in my door locks. Sandfly patiently listened to my problems and on the spot re-keyed my whole car while I waited! I didn't even know that was possible! Now I not only have a new electronic key but also a spare door key in case my battery dies again, that is a huge stress reliever and I didn't even have to take my car anywhere to get it done. Not only that, but he went above and beyond and actually jumped my car as well! On top of all of that Sandfly was more reasonably priced than any other locksmith I have used. Last time I locked myself out of my house the locksmith I called took 45 minutes to get into my door and actually damaged the door of my historical home in the process. I would highly recommend Sandfly Locksmith to anyone who needs a locksmith and especially for hard to duplicate keys. My daughter has an older Mazda and had bent the key in a lock. I thought I would just get another made, but it wasn't in the computer for the local home improvement store and they couldn't make it. I remembered getting a flyer a long time ago for Sandfly Locksmith and the guy at the store said they were good. They were excellent! Keith looked up how to make it and made several for us. I haven't really had any other experiences with locksmiths but I can't imagine they get better than this. Like a lot of people my electronic car key broke and I was forced to get a new one in order to start my car. After talking to my local Mitsubishi dealer about the cost of replacement I decided to try and find a more economical solution that I could afford. I recently had Sandfly Locksmith repair my Baldwin front door locks, both the active and the dummy. There customer service was outstanding from the receptionist to the technician. Service was promptly provided, even faster than originally scheduled. The technician arrived on time, calling in advance which is very important. He explained the job in detail. Throughout the process he asked if I was satisfied, leaving nothing unturned. At the end, he went over each function of the locking mechanism, to ensure it met my satisfaction. I called to have three locks rekeyed to match my front door. The woman I spoke to originally was very helpful in identifying what type of lock I had, and giving an estimate of price (which was spot on). She also emailed me educational materials so that I would be more educated about my locks and safety. The locksmith that came out the next day not only rekeyed the locks, but fixed a hinge that was preventing the door from latching, and turned a lock that was wrong side up over to the correct position. I was having an issue with my car's trunk not opening. The lock seemed to be turned the wrong way (horizontal versus vertical) and the lever inside of the car would not work. After speaking with 2 body shops (and a failed DIY attempt) I finally called Sandfly Locksmith. Keith was able to see me within the hour of my call and was incredibly helpful. He explained that the issue was common and cut me the correct key that is used to unlock your trunk when it is "deadlocked". I will be calling him soon to have another key made. Keith saved the day. I stupidly locked myself out of my new house. I called them up and he was here within 10 minutes. It took him .2 seconds to get me back into my house. Not only did he get me in, he identified a couple of weak points in my door/entry that I should probably address for the sake of security.
