First time here. Oil change on my Honda Pilot. Friendly, fair priced, and quick. I would definitely recommend them and I will be back.

Like many of us, I don't have a lot of time to give either good or bad reviews to businesses or…read morepeople online, but with Tim @ AATCO Transmissions I had a superb experience worth sharing. To keep the story short: I know almost nothing about motors/transmissions cars/trucks etc. I build homes but when it comes to the vehicles I drive I'm clueless. Because of my ignorance I have been the unfortunate target of automotive mechanic scams in the past -- some proven to be and others that have just left me feeling icky after signing my credit card receipt. Regardless, I'm probably an easy target. I came to Tim because I thought my transmission was slipping in my 1989 OBS Ford F-250. I love this truck -- had it for more than twenty years as it was given to me by my father. A new transmission cost would probably cause me to lay this thing to rest. Tim asked for me keys and drove it around town for about 15 minutes before returning. He smiled, waved down a mechanic of his, and had him look under the hood and confirm his suspicion. The fan clutch was bad -- a simple part that someone handy with tools could do on their own pretty simply -- he pointed out. I asked him how much -- he said "I don't do them." He does transmissions. He walked me through the process, smiling and joking the whole time, and convinced me I was capable of the work. I should have given him a great hug -- but a more masculine handshake would do. :-) I went to NAPA and for I think around 80 dollars I got the new part, did what Tim told me to, and now have a beautifully running truck again. Great experience! Thank you to Tim and his Crew at AATCO. :-) May God Bless you for looking after your neighbors. -Peter

Total Upgrade Automotive - ENGINE REPLACEMENT ON SUBARU BOXER ENGINE

I recently had to replace both my headlights on my 2002 Ford Mustang…read more After I was done, I noticed that they weren't focused in the proper direction so one day at work I decided to take the car to Total upgrade (across the street from my place of employment, O'Reilly Auto Parts). Chris said he would do it for me and he would drop the car off in the O'Reilly parking lot after he was done (which is exactly what he did). I walked over to him and asked him how much I owed & he said nothing! NADA, Zilch! Wow, he did the work (headlight alignment) for free!

Worst experience I've had in my entire life. We found this mechanic, based off good reviews and one…read moreof the lower prices we were quoted we thought it was a slam dunk. Came in for a new transmission, broken AC and a leaking tire. Was told it would be a week, which sounds good as that was every time line we were told from other places we called. A week goes by and the parts still weren't in, again I mean that's just shipping and it happens, can't really blame the shop. After a week and a half they install the new transmission, but said there was something wrong so they kept working on it. Another week goes by and they say they need to order ANOTHER trans. At this point we are very frustrated as we needed this vehicle back 3 weeks ago. But I mean who knows what is really going on so we just hang tight. Finally, a MONTH later, we get a text that the trans was replaced and good to go but they didn't have time to fully fix the ac. Didn't have time? You had it for a month and decided until the last day to look at the AC. They replaced the blower motor but said they would have to take the whole thing out and didn't have time for it, so it was ultimately a temporary fix for a full charge. After asking for a price break down he gave us $150 off. Woopie after a $7,500 ordeal that didn't feel sufficient. They then charged our card for the second half of our bill after we explicitly said "we do not authorize this charge" and we also don't remember saying they could save the card on file..... if that wasn't all enough to make us never come back we then find out the tire was never fixed after it went flat on the road a few days later. To which the guy says "looks like I forgot" !!! Now the AC stopped working because again it was never actually fixed in the first place. Truly unacceptable from start to finish. They clearly do not care about doing a good job and just want your money. He asked us multiple times to pay the remaining balance before we even picked up the vehicle or had any work done. Avoid at all costs.

On August 27, 2026, while travelling from Washington to California with my wife and our two dogs…read morethe thing you fear the most on a long road trip, a warning light goes on in the car about a engine/battery issue. After some quick diagnostic support from the local Auto Zone we knew it was the alternator. After a few tries to find someone who would be able to fix our problem, we were lucky enough to get Emtech to help us. They were amazing and so helpful. The fact that we were dropping in out of the blue with no appointment, in crisis with no warning, and yet they not only agreed to help but got it done in a timely manner. As an added bonus they did it all for a reasonable cost allowing us to get back on the road to California. I cannot say enough positive things about Emtech!!

Would not return or recommend. Took my diesel truck to Emtech for a fuel-pressure issue…read more Emtech recommended replacing all 8 fuel injectors, costing me nearly $6,000, only to return my truck 3 weeks later with the exact same issue it went in with. I was told they weren't equipped to troubleshoot it any further and that it would need to be looked at by a big truck company. I took it to another diesel mechanic who found the problem was actually in the fuel system. There was debris in the tank and sump, one kinked fuel line, and two other lines that were completely deteriorated and collapsing. After addressing those issues, my truck was finally fixed. The experience cost me a significant amount of money, time, and frustration, and left me feeling that the original problem was never properly diagnosed before I was charged for a major repair.
