I decided to have it done anyways. Their pricing for my repair, and oil change was very acceptable! There was no run around. Just cut and dry which I appreciated very much. The staff was welcoming and made you feel like a friend! Daryl (the owner) is someone I felt in my heart was an honest wholesome man. And the technician (i believe his name was Dan) was very knowledgeable and didn't try to upsell me on a single thing. When I picked up my vehicle I was slightly nervous because we all know there's always some sort of bad news you hear after work is done. "This needs replaced asap, thats broken and will break down if not replaced soon" and quotes are prepared before you even show up. NONE of that occurred. I wasnt targeted to be upsold on a single thing. I didn't get the typical lecture of needing to spend hundreds of dollars in the near future. Dan told me everything checked out well, ran my payment and they both wished me a great evening! I came home and told my boyfriend if he ever needs work done he doesn't want to do, to take it there. I had the most pleasant experience and I cant thank the staff enough for making me feel like I was leaving my vehicle in great hands! I will be coming back!

Enter Dan at 2000 Auto Repair. Recommended by a local tire repair place (Erickson's), Dan agreed to take on the project of trying to figure out what was wrong with the Monty. I took the vehicle out to his shop about 5 miles from Molalla and dropped it off. Not only was he fair and easy to work with, he described everything he found and what he was going to need in order to fix it. Parts were a challenge for him to find but once they arrived, Dan was able to get the Monty back up and running in short order. They were closed when I went by to have the light reset. As I use my rig for my job (delivery, and he knew this) I went to work and the light came back on, even at one point flashing but then stopped. Stopped by on the way home and left the vehicle (Thursday). Was told the previous problem was fine, now had a #3 misfire code showing. He was going to try to check the plugs. No word.... Today (Tuesday afternoon) we went over after calling them and finding nothing had been done and were told to come get it as they were 2 weeks out (yes, they had told us this, but thought maybe with having the vehicle 5 days and knowing it was needed to make a living he would maybe spend a bit at least diagnosing the issue). So we picked up the truck... as we are leaving he says "I didn't break it so it's not my problem". No customer service and no work ethic. To purchase a new set Les wanted $1200. I found some tires at Tire Rack with a longer tread warranty for $650. I ordered them and had them mounted and balanced at Erickson. Great service - they did it while I waited without an appointment. Later that day I had a flat on another car. Took it over to Erickson and they again took care of it on the spot. Yesterday I had them put brakes on my work car. Cost less than a 1/3 of what the local dealer quoted. Plan on getting all my maintenance done here from now on.
