Calming Nature Pet Grooming - So bad!!

I have a Yorkie/Maltese (14 1/2) and a Maltese (4) that I take in every four weeks. I also had a Yorkie/Maltese that passed four years ago that went here for years as well. They area also always on time with your animals and they will let you know that instead of two hours (for my two small dogs) it will be two hours and fifteen minutes that day. When I show up, they are ready at that time. I have been to groomers that would keep my girls for FIVE hours or more, and just tell you they will call you when your animal is ready. That's just ridiculous. Both of my girls get excited when I tell them I am taking them to the groomers. They used to shake when they would first come out of the carrier, but that was just due to the strange scents and what not. Now they come out wagging their tails and crawl right to Taylor and Joe. I am constantly asked where I take my girls because their grooming is so good. I HIGHLY recommend Calming Nature. You won't be disappointed. Yes their prices have gone up, but they did not raise their prices for the longest time AND they are still cheaper than any place anyone I know takes their dogs. That is NOT a reason to give them a bad review. They also have their cancellation policy posted, they are a business and have people wanting appointments. If you cancel last minute, they can't fill that appointment. A lot of places do the same thing whether it be salons or doctor offices. Remember, if it's your first time there it might take a few times to get exactly what you want if you are picky about what you like. Joe is so great about listening to what you like, or what you don't like and will implement it for you. I have asked him to try something new just to see if I would like it and realized I did not in fact like it at all. It just ended with a "let's not do that again." Just be honest and if you don't like something and let him know if you do.

She was very responsive and gave us lots of photos and videos of Piper prior to picking her up. Piper is a short hair LUA and has been the absolute sweetest and best addition to our family. We couldn't be more thankful. At first we read some of these crazy reviews and were a bit nervous, so we talked with Jessica and she put us at ease. We trusted the process and are so thankful we did. We looked at other breeders, but Jessica was the most responsive and we felt had the best dalmatians and options. If you're considering, feel free to reach out to me! My husband and I are happy to share how positive our experience was. Our dog is the best ever and we'll definitely come back here for all our dogs in the future!

Do your research! A review of this breeder's social media reveals various problems with the health…read moreof her dogs... She does not allow people on her property to see the conditions these dogs are being kept in. Has multiple litters at the same time and breeds numerous types of dogs. It appears she has produced puppies with substantive health issues and numerous puppies have died in her care. Her fees are also ridiculous, approximately $1,000 more than what reputable breeders charge for healthier, better looking pups. I contacted her when I first started researching Dalmatian breeders in the Pacific Northwest as she is located in Washington. I asked to schedule a visit with her and the would be puppy's parents. She informed me that she doesn't allow people on her property and instructed me to look at all her positive Google reviews. A few days later I randomly got a message from her accusing me of leaving her a negative review. It was seriously bizarre and that negative review (not authored by me) prompted her to shut her Google account down so the reviews are no longer viewable. She also doesn't allow reviews on her Facebook and quickly deletes any negative comments that are left. She also goes by various names, probably in an effort to hide some of her activities. Names she goes by Jessica Davidson, Jessica Timar, Jessica Garoutte, Anne Jessica, Anne Marie... and I'm sure others.

They were going to do a urinalysis but we never heard anything from anyone after my husband left the office. We were told it would be overnight and we would hear from someone in the morning. By Saturday evening I had left messages on both answering lines. I drove by to see if any lights were on. I called other vets for advice. All three vets said to call the police. I reached out in a neighborhood group to see if i could find contact info for a staff member. I was given a cell-number, texted, and left "on read" for 45 minutes before I was told the doctor would call. During this time I had more pet owners encouraging me to call the police non-emergency line to see if they had a phone number. We didn't get a response from Dr. Busina until she found out I had attempted to have Yelm PD help me find contact information. (They had no contact info for anyone. What happens to the pets staying there in an emergency such as a break in or fire?!). I did NOT report any crime; I ONLY asked if someone could help me make contact with staff. Dr. Busina finally called my husband, and told us to come pick Rose up. She hung up on him. When we arrived we were told she had not produced urine during her 48 hours kenneled with an empty littler box and that is why they didn't call or respond to any messages. (We were not told we would only get a call IF she peed, or that this was their plan to try for a sample. It's never worked on her before and we could have said so.) There was no apology or hint of accountability for our distress. We just "should have known" our cat may not have peed in 48 hours. We were guilted about vets having a high rate of suicide and regarding her donating her time to care for Rose over the weekend. I emphasized my issue was not with her skill or compassion towards animals, it was the complete and total absence of any communication. I was told by her that contacting the police was unacceptable: I cannot agree with this based on the fact I made the call on the advice of three other vet clinics, other pet owners, AND THE COP AND DISPATCH SAID IT WAS A VALID USE OF THEIR RESOURCES. We were told we were not welcome to be patients any longer; I replied that she was absolutely not the vet for us based on the absence of communication and we would be removing all of our animals from her care. After taking Rose to a different vet this morning we were able to confirm in less than an hour via a sterile urine removal (that Bloom apparently should have done). She did NOT have a UTI, meaning that she had been kenneled for 48 hours with a litter box she where she have contaminated the urine sample with feces anyway... and it would not have told us anything to help her because SHE HAS AN UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION! Bottom line... by removing Rose from Dr. Busina's care.... She might even make it to the ripe old age of 20.
