The photos of the rooms are a LIE. There are NO rooms with a King size bed, or a full kitchen (full size fridge, stove, dishware, silverware, etc), or either an alcove or shower caddy--or both--in the shower (not even so much as a SOAP DISH), nothing but a MINI fridge, coffee pot and a $10 microwave that didn't even WORK.
The bed consisted of nothing but a metal frame that kept hitting my legs every time I sat down/up in it, because it's designed to hold a BOX SPRING, which the mattress then goes on top of. Instead, all there is is a VERY cheap, thin mattress, which was so uncomfortable to lie on that my 2nd day, after spending the night on their bed, my body was hurting so bad that I couldn't even FUNCTION the entire day.
There was NO ONE on the premises at all, at any time, during my 4-day stay. Why they have an office, I have NO IDEA, because it's ALWAYS "Closed" and dark, with only a piece of paper on the door with instructions for checking in or out.
If you're checking in...your keycards will be in an envelope with your name on it, left in their mailbox, where ANYONE can see or access it...AND my name, which I didn't want a bunch of complete strangers knowing. Checking out is you leave the cards in the same mailbox and leave, so no confirmation that you checked in or out on time, or anything else that is STANDARD with every other hotel I've ever stayed at.
My room didn't even have so much as a WASHCLOTH in it. The notice inside the envelope tells you to call someone OFF-SITE if you have problems...but there's supposed to be someone ON-SITE for guest issues. What if I'm in a hurry to go somewhere, and need a washcloth to take a shower? Do you think I have time to wait for someone who is God-knows-where to take their time to saunter in at their leisure? And that's assuming they even HAVE washcloths on-site, which I have ZERO evidence of.
I checked in at 8:30pm, and had to ask another guest what to do, and where my room (#10) was, or where I was supposed to park. I first assumed this young guy I was talking to was an employee...but later figured out he was NOT. My room was on the back side of the hotel, which--by the way--has NO PARKING at all, NOR any working outside lights! It's pitch black at night, and someone who wanted to attack or rob someone could do so with the knowledge that NOBODY would be able to see him/her coming.
Inside the room, there's only 2 dim lights--1 over the bedside table, and 1 in the bathroom. That's it. There is a light switch right inside the front door which does absolutely NOTHING at all.
The only "parking" was a dirt area on the short end of the hotel between front and back, hardly the parking spaces available to those on the FRONT side. And as someone who is disabled and needs a safety cane to walk...having to drag or carry all of my stuff from a front space around to the back a piece at a time is NOT what I was led to expect from this hotel.
And speaking of disabled...the two main reasons I booked this hotel, vs one of the 4 others I was looking at, was because of TWO things that the PHOTOS showed them having, but which the room DOES NOT HAVE:
1) A full kitchen, with a FULL-size fridge that I could keep the food and water I was going to use for FOUR DAYS in...not a mini fridge that turned every bottle of water into an ice cube so I couldn't even drink them, no matter WHERE in the fridge I put them.
2) Alcoves and/or shower caddies in the stall shower--which is important, because I am a significant fall risk (I've fallen over 100 times in 5 years, the most serious of which put me in the emergency room with a dislocated shoulder and a severe brain injury)--in other words, places to put things like soap and shampoo, so that they were within reach, and didn't require me to PUT THEM ON THE FLOOR, which was the ONLY place I COULD put them in MY room, which necessitated me bending over every time I wanted either one, which completely nullifies the entire reason I WANTED a stall shower in the FIRST PLACE! On top of that, I had to use my only hand towel as a washcloth, as it was either THAT, or a full-size bath towel. Day 3, someone dropped 2 more bath towels--STILL no washcloths--on top of the entertainment center inside the front door. Apparently, I have to put my OWN stuff away now, too--and they didn't even deliver what I actually NEEDED.
There were also 3 mattresses identical to mine just laying in a pile by the dumpster outside the entire time I was there, which is about where these beds belonged, in my opinion.
I could go on, but there's not enough space. Suffice it to say, this is the WORST hotel I've ever stayed at in my LIFE, and that's saying something. Don't go there unless you really want to ruin your vacation as WELL as your wallet. read more
