Haven't gone to a recycling center in more than a decade so my recycling game has been off. I had four trash bags of empty protein bottles and was worried about waiting in line while holding all of them but that wasn't the case. Despite that, the process of dropping off my bottles was insanely smooth. All I did was approach one of the workers for some assistance, and they directed me to one of the baskets. From there they helped me sort through the different plastics I had. They weighed it, gave me a receipt, and I turned it in to the front booth for my cash. The process took around 10-15 minutes. Staff was super chill and they were even patiently assisting someone else on the side who accidentally turned in something they shouldn't have. Being immediately helped, short and smooth process, and additional help with sorting my recycling? Now that's the kind of recycling center I would come back to. read more

It's always clean. Cats are moving in and out fairly quick. The staff is always nice and helpful.

Very fast. Great service. Been going to this location for a while, and I've always appreciated the speed of service.

Ive been to a few of the other recycling centers in Anaheim and Action Recycling, they rip you off and always try to give you half of what you bring in. This place Sanchez Recycling pays me 2x as much as other centers and they show you the screen and the weight. I always have close to the same weight in plastic bottles and cans and now get way more money here and a friendly attitude by the people who work here. At Action i was always getting about $35.00 and now here at Sanchez i got $84.43 for whats in this picture which is always the same. I love this place. read more

Sanchez Recycling - Got $83.43 for these. - Recycling Center Near Me - Placentia, California

this is my go-to recycling center even though there are several others way closer to my house. the parking lot is really small (like your best bet is to back straight out of the gate) but their buckets are large, plentiful and in good shape. customer service is very nice. they have a handwashing station available for patrons and you can leave with cash instead of having to go to a second location (you know how like, some places are behind a market and then you have to redeem your receipt inside the market?). i feel like they offer good prices AND! they also collect a bunch of stuff. i was just turning in water bottles but the guy next to me turned in all these metal pipes and stuff. read more

I used to go to another recycling center, but during my last few visits the staff seemed inattentive and even a bit rude. So I decided to try somewhere new and found Sanchez Recycling. From the moment I drove in, the experience was completely different. I was greeted right away and asked how they could help. I told them I had cans, and the employee directed me where to go, brought me a large basket, and let me know someone would assist me. Another staff member quickly helped, weighed my cans, gave me a receipt, and thanked me for coming. The woman in the payment area was also friendly and efficient. Overall, the whole process was smooth and pleasant. The facility is clean, the staff is helpful, and everything was easy to deal with. I'll definitely be coming here from now on! read more

Fast, friendly and consistently good recycling experiences at this location. Conveniently located.

I went there on a Saturday - crew are friendly and helpful, service is also fast! will surely go back to this branch!

Before discovering Sanchez, I had tried more recycling centers than most people could count on two hands. I constantly ran into bad attitudes, dirty environments, and poor payouts. And don't even get me started on Action Recycling--what they do feels criminal! Sanchez Recycling is the complete opposite. From the moment you arrive, they are responsive, respectful, and incredibly helpful. The workspace is immaculate--no sticky floors, plenty of trash cans for used bags or gloves, and the mesh baskets and rolling bins are always neatly returned to their designated spot near the weighing station. Customer service is top-tier. They don't hesitate to assist you, whether it's providing bins, helping you sort materials, or lifting heavier items if needed. If you're unsure how to classify something, just ask--they're happy to help. The pricing system is transparent and fair. Daily rates for all accepted materials (aluminum, glass, plastic, brass, steel, copper, paper, etc.) are clearly posted by the scales. They even accept TVs and PC monitors now, which I just found out! You'll get a printed receipt showing the weight and price for each material. And if you ever suspect a mistake? Speak up. I've seen staff kindly walk a customer through a reweighing, explaining everything with patience and respect. Bonus: Check their website for coupons--worth the 5-minute search. The cashier is always polite, there's a place to wash your hands, and there's even a tip box (never pressured, but well-deserved). A note to the person who left a 1-star review: If you can read posted prices and do basic math, you'll see that Sanchez is 100% honest. Example: Glass is $0.11/lb, plastic $1.47/lb, and steel is heavy--so don't expect big bucks unless you have a LOT. They're not shady; you probably just didn't account for the bin weight that gets tared. If you want a clean, honest, and professionally run recycling center, Sanchez Recycling will exceed your expectations. I have been coming here for many years now, and these are the good guys. You won't regret giving them your business! read more

Drove an hour in rush hour. Arrived at 4:45 and they turned me away because they had to clean up

No problems here. It's done right! Go try this place! No one out there better! Even customers were friendly!!

I really love this recycling center. There are plenty of places to park and I was in and out very quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 10/10. Thank you! (Got 110 $ for what was in the photo. Most of it was crushed to save room but next time I won't crush bottles/cans because there is no need to.) read more

Fast and easy recycling. My new recycling center. I plan to take a couple of old TVs & monitors this week.

Today is my sons 7th birthday and I thought it would be fun to recycle our bags of bottles for some bday money! This was my son's first time experience and he had a blast! Lukas was so helpful, from the get go- he helped us with putting the bottles in the bins and bringing them up (since I had to park outside the gate at the curb) and took them all to the weight area for us. Thank you Lukas- appreciate what you did for us! My son even said he made a new friend! read more

Been going here for the past almost four years and never had a problem. Parking inside the area (you'll know what I'm talking about) can get tight if you come during a busy time. I like to park on the street closest to the entrance and carry my bags inside. If you're new to recycling, you'll grab an empty bin/waste basket and fill it up. Trash bags go inside the trash cans that are available everywhere. Drag the bin to the weigh area, get your ticket with the weight written, and redeem for cash at what looks like a box ticket office. Prices for the items will fluctuate and it'll only hurt your total by a few dollars. read more

I use to go to the recycling places near grocery stores, but never again. I have been going here for 8 years and I couldn't be happier with them. Their rates are good, better if you use their coupons. The employees there have always been there to help me. read more

So, I just got back from Sanchez Recycling. Their Lot is big but not that big. There is about 6-8 parking spots and one handicap spot. Recycle bins were in a designated area by the entrance. The parking spaces on your right when you come in have trash cans for any trash your not putting in the bins to recycle which is nice and convenient. Price was great and aluminum had the highest pay. Once I got my receipt I went to the cashier and noticed they recycle TVs, and old computer monitors. Service was excellent and everyone helpful! I will be coming back for sure. read more

surprised clean, nice customer service and fast....OC best recycling center l am Definitely go back this location again and again !!

Great process friendly service ! I arrived was greeted with a smile also with clear instructions My 1st time trying this place the price per copper was great the didn't try to haggle with the price mixture of copper and brass . I would definitely give them five stars read more

Been coming the Sanchez Recycling for years. Always friendly, fair and easy in and out.

Been here twice and both times did not feel I got the value for my recycling. I take my cans, plastics, and glass all the time to my local recycling place back in my hometown up north and have never been cheated so badly. Here, I filled up a whole bin and a half of glass, a couple bins of plastic and some steel. I barely got 5 dollars. Now for that much recycling and especially glass I do not feel I got my recycling worth. Staff was very quick and helpful but the pricing is just not right. I don't know if it is because I look young that they skimped on me but I will definitely never be coming back here, despite it being close to where I live. read more

Really, really like this place. I've been lucky lately, normally I have some scathing reviews haha. I will not be coming back to this recycling plant. I've been coming here for about a year and at first the staff seemed very polite and helpful but now I find that most of them are incredibly rude. I watched one of the staff members berate an elderly man for not understanding that he had to put his recycling in a bin. Also I've been slowly getting less and less for turning in recycling than I used to. Mind you I don't bring in a huge amount of stuff but I used to at least get $35 but now it's a miracle if I even break $15. Tl:Dr Staff is rude and they payout it not worth your time read more

Double check your numbers folks They tried to skimp me on 13lbs of plastic by marking under the wrong rate (this has nothing to do with taring the baskets, I accounted for that. They literally tried to charge me the INCORRECT RATE) Hate to complain but it cut what was owed to me by half. Shame shame. 2 stars for clean facility, easy access, good staff (besides the shorting) read more

I went here for the first time yesterday because the place I normally go to was super busy. I am glad I check on Yelp for a nearby location because I believe I found a new goto recycling center! This place was very clean and the parking lot was paved, unlike the other place I used to go to. For aluminum and plastic bottles, they gave you a netted barrel, and a trash can for glass bottles. I don't know how the rates compared to other places but took a photo of the current weight area with current rates as of yesterday. As for the operation itself, everything seemed very organized and efficient. I was in and out in about 15min or less. They paid in cash and didn't even ask for ID. read more

Wow! Hard to find, but quick, great service! It's actually located at 2018 E. Lakeview Loop, Placentia, CA over the bridge from Kimmie's Coffee Cup, my iPhone and Google Maps directed me to two different locations. I used the Yelp address. I was able to see the business but it was on the other side of the train tracks. I was greeting upon arrival, and was brought a container for glass bottles. I asked if they took wine bottles (some places don't), and was brought another container for wine bottles. Then the nice, young man loaded my bottles, then took all four of my containers to the scale. Then he greeted an older man, asked if he was a Veteran, (it was Veteran's Day) and thanked him for his service. the young man was helping to unload bottles from the man's truck. As I left, the young man said goodbye, and I gave him a dollar tip. Very nice experience! read more

Excellent to drop off. Quick service. Close by for me. Fun to get cash for what would normally go in recycling barrel.

A quick and pleasant transaction. It was my first visit so I went up to the payment window and asked the young lady there how it worked. She told me to unload/ unbag my recyclables and put them into the large bins they provide, separated by the type of recyclable (one type of material per bin, don't mix everything in together) as follows: * Plastic bottles - Orange mesh bin * Soda/beer cans - Orange mesh bin * Cat food cans - Orange mesh bin * Wine and beer bottles (colored glass) - Gray plastic bin * Liquor bottles (clear glass) - Gray plastic bin She told me to ask the staff for help if any bin was too heavy for me to carry to the weighing scales. She also said "Thank you so much!" when I told her I washed out all my cat cans - I'd think that was a no-brainer for smell-free storage at home but apparently some people don't. (Yuck!) LOL. Some more details that might help for your first visit: * It's ok to leave caps on plastic drinks bottles, just to make sure there is no liquid left inside. * You can include the cat-can lids (I'd been throwing them away). * They also take dog food cans (which are made of steel); they are grateful if you bring them in separated from cat food cans (which are made of aluminum and are priced differently). Overall I was in and out in about 10 minutes and was pleasantly surprised to get a crisp $10 bill for my first experimental 'paid' recycle, which was just two trash bags of bottles/cans I'd collected over a couple of weeks at home. I felt like I'd just made free money! I'm now going home to buy a can-crusher on Amazon - about 95% of the space in a bottle or can is just air (previously filled by the contents), so by crushing the cans/ bottles you can bring in more material per visit = more $$$ per visit. (My 2 trash bags filled with uncrushed bottles/ cans took up my entire car trunk!) Kudos also given to the person who responded online within about 5 minutes when I left a question via Yelp asking what kind of recyclables they took, and for their equally fast responses when I asked a couple of follow-up questions. Great place and experience, I'll definitely be back! read more
