Covered drive thru where they unload for you!
Bob T.

I've been going to Sunwest Metals for years (4 stars), couldn't make it there by 2pm on a Saturday; decided to give DBW Metals a try, and I'm very glad I did! DBW is my new "go to" recycling center for cans, bottles and glass. Here's why: Open an hour later - 3pm on Saturday, and 5pm weekdays. They unload your recyclables (just like Sunwest) Better traffic flow - no driving though scrap and the craziness of Sunwest The unloading area and the payment window are covered. More payment windows, cleaner area in general. Easier parking - no turning around. They take all competitor's coupons - and match their advertised prices. Have their own coupon on their website - a 10¢ bonus per pound on cans. Took a Sunwest Coupon with me, but DBW's regular price was the same as Sunwest's Coupon deal! Plus, I used DBW's bonus coupon for even more per pound! To get DBW's coupon go on their website, click on "things we buy" tab and then the Aluminum Cans tab - you'll see a click-able link to a coupon. Or try this link: http://www.dbwmetals.com/coupon.cfm There are two unloading areas - the one on the right end of the building (facing the building from the street) it's for big trucks and scrap metal - the can/bottle entrance is on the left end. You drive right through the building. Service was good for this type of business. Don't know what it will be like when really busy - but I'm sure it will be fine. We were there right at closing time and did not feel awkward or rushed at all. Friendly worker helped direct me out and waved as we left. Several people tried Sunwest per my recommendation - I hope you give this place a try and have as good an experience as I did! Good for the environment - plus getting paid - 5 star recycling going on here!

Place is organized and have plenty of staff to keep the flow going. Called for a quote of pricing shown on a LCD Monitor as the same. Pretty trusting facility to properly handle materials

Ripoff!! Manager put some random percentage on my receipt in pen then they knock that off what you are actually supposed to get.

This place rips you off!! Look at my receipt and see how much of a percentage the chalk up to Tare. My #1 copper was almost 200lbs. yet I only got paid for 55lbs. Clean copper they said was marked down because of contamination. Bullshit. Do not go here the just mark whatever percentage to knock off your total.

From the moment I drove in, the experience was completely different. I was greeted right away and asked how they could help. I told them I had cans, and the employee directed me where to go, brought me a large basket, and let me know someone would assist me. Another staff member quickly helped, weighed my cans, gave me a receipt, and thanked me for coming. The woman in the payment area was also friendly and efficient. Overall, the whole process was smooth and pleasant. The facility is clean, the staff is helpful, and everything was easy to deal with. I'll definitely be coming here from now on!

I simply pulled up around opening time, popped open the trunk of my CRV, associates easily removed the items from my car, & was sent on my merry way. By far the easiest junk removal process I could ask for. We are in Spring & Spring Cleaning is upon us.
