Place is a total cash grab rip off! Came here with a 6ft truck bed full of copper and walked off with $150 bucks! If it weren't for them making me stuff tiny trash cans full of my copper I would've took my stuff right back and loaded it in my truck and drove down the street off Kreamer and the 91. I went to that place and got $600 plus the day prior I just thought this place was a little closer where I was at and more convient but boy did I pay the price, literally...people do yourself the favor and go to SA recycling. This is an excellent spot to bring your recycling. They have many large yellow containers on wheels for you to fill with your glass, aluminum or plastic. There is one way in and one way out to keep things moving efficiently. When you bring your containers to the scale they weigh each container then give you a receipt to take to the cashier. The cashier provides you with the cash and a detailed receipt. I have been going here for over 40 years and they have always been friendly, efficient, helpful, and even offer suggestions for recycling. read more

This is a well operated facility, even if it looks sketchy and is sticky smelly gross. Yes, they ask that you wear a mask (they wear them too) to help slow the spread of COVID-19. I appreciate that! My biggest beef with bottle recycling centers is how long you have to stand in the hot sun waiting your turn while you smell that putrid trashy smell. Not so with this place. There were tons of people here, but I never actually waited. You drive in and park nose first into a slot. Grab however many yellow (yes, dirty sticky and smelly) rolling trash barrels you need and pour in your plastics (sort appropriately so you get the most out of it...don't mix your plastic types!), then wheel them over to the guy who weighs them. He hands you a slip of paper with the different weights of each type of plastic/glass you brought, and you take that slip of paper to another person about 30 feet away in a small "building" who pays you cash. That action alone frees up the gentleman to start weighing another persons recyclables. Things to mention: this place is a little hidden, and upon approach looks like a trash dump. It's sketchy...and rundown and looks a bit hastily set up. The air stinks, the ground is black and sticky, and for those with bee sting allergies, bring your epi pen, because they are buzzing EVERYWHERE. Despite all this, I recommend this place. I wanted to get a review in for this spot as I have been coming here for a while now to get my re-cycle on. I have never had any issues here whatsoever. The staff here is very helpful and friendly ( they remind you that they match other competitors coupons), and i never have had to wait for a long period of time like some other places. The also accept other items such as old computers as well. What I also like is that they have hand sanitizer available, and an area to wash your hands. Give Action Recycling a shot! read more

Great little out of the way place. Seems recycling sites are diminishing. Brought my grandson here, teaching him about earning and saving money. He was enthralled by the little operation of separating and watching the conveyer belt distribution the cans, plastic and glass. The assistant was pleasant and overall we had a good experience. Will be our go to place for our future transactions. read more

This place will accept competitor coupons and rates, which gets a big bump from me so I do not have to go to another recycler to get the best rate from my stuff. Just show proof of the other competitor rates in OC. There is adequate parking for about 5-8 cars. Service seems friendly enough. No complaints here. read more

I give this place a 1 star rating because they used to pay out more. Mind you that I have been coming to this pave for nearly 2 years. Now for the past 3 to 4 weekends. I have taken the same amount of large bags of bottles when i used to average 24 dollars & now the most i get is between 16 to 18 dollars. They write down a number & hand it to you instead of printing it out. They may very well be ripping people off in that manner. I will NEVER EVER go back there whatsoever. I don't recommend for no 1 to ever go there, unless anybody likes to get ripped off. read more

Wow ... the nerve of some people ... my beef is with the hood rats they have working the cash register. The hard workers helping you weigh are good with me. These chicks think they are run way models which they are not. They are not friendly and you can tell they hate there job. They think all clients are cracked out and need the $10.00 one usually gets when recycling. We'll there wrong, I hold a 6 figure job and own a $650k home. well came here for the first time a few months ago with my crazy alcoholic woman beater boyfriend..thankfully hes now fired as the donald says!...anyway penny pinching coupon cutting indiot brought all his empty bud lite cans here and he got I think 60.00 or 70.00 at the time...anyway i remembered this place so i came here with empty water bottles.juice bottles...etc...saved about four tall kitchen bags full of plastic and brought them here....this place isnt clean or tidy but hey I dont think you will find fluff at any recycle place..when you pull in expect it to be small there are a few spots to park and unload but if thats full you will have to park outside the gate and carry you stuff in so anyway once inside you grab a yellow trash can and start filling up your can with your material when its full you carry it over to the man who works there and he puts it on a scale..bottles are five cents each so you know... after your goods are put on the scale he prints out your reciept and you take it to the cashier in the booth and cha ching! you get your money.I have never been into recycling however saving the planet and getting some chump change for it..isnt a bad thing after all and if your an alcoholic like my ex who drinks 20 beers a night ..hey now you can FUND your way back into your dysfuctional drinking habit...lmfao!.LOSER! I went to cash in on a Friday afternoon. I have been going to this place about 2 years and I know what hours they close. Anyway the hours posted on the gate say Monday thru Friday 8:00 - 4:30 p.m I go to park inside the gate and a worker comes out and tells me they are closed. I say it isn't 4:30 yet and he says they have a note on the gate saying they close at 4:15. Now I ask you what business closes at 4:15 anything :15 the answer is NONE well I ask him please I have used my gas to come here he don't care of course and sends me on my way. NOT GOOD!! When I left on my previous visit, I felt that I had been taken advantage of on both the weight and the price per pound for my aluminum cans. This time I called and talked to a representative there and I asked if their company accepted coupons from another facility and the reply was yes for the face value of the coupon. When I brought my cans two days later the story changed and I received $.20 per pound less than the face value of the coupon. read more

RIP OFF ALERT!! This place used to be a reputable company. In fact, we took all of our recycling there for more than 15 years. Now when you call them, they quote you 30-40 cents lower than other places less than 5 miles from them. It may not seem like much but when you take 40-50 pounds of cans and plastic, it adds up to about a $20.00 difference. If you are going to save the cans for months, why not get top dollar for them? They also no longer honor any coupons, which they used to do for years. They blame the Pennysaver going out of business, yet most of the time we took coupons from other people's websites. It sounds like the owner has just got greedy. OC Register has written many articles on companies like this ripping people off. Don't fall for it. They may be great for scrap items, but not for cans! With scrap comes the problem with punctured tires, which we have had happen twice there over the last ten years. Match that with poor recycling prices, and it isn't worth the hassle!
