Frankie ( Francisco) was very personable and through in weighing and informing me of the separation of recycling. Down time was sweeping and keeping the are clean. read more

Not even one star they ripped me off badly I wasn't about to load it all back . This load was worth I'd say at least 300 to 400 read more

Action Recycling - Cans and plastic bottles you'd think I'd get at least 300 no I went here and got 180 total rip off crooks - Recycling Center Near Me - Orange, California

Dont go here this guy is a total thief. Ive been going here every 2 months for about 6 yrs and this guy keeps slipping me less money every time. This time he didn't add in my 2 fully crushed aluminum cans and he only added like 7 more dollars like take it or leave it. Very dishonest place to go and i will be now going somewhere else. read more

brought in some plastic, they said I went over the weight limit ( nothing posted) so they could pay me 1 cent a pound for the over amount. I said no, give me back the 71/2 pounds back.they said they would not return my bottles. no waiting and they were in the bin and the belt wasn't even moving. BAD BUSINESS read more

This is a well operated facility, even if it looks sketchy and is sticky smelly gross. Yes, they ask that you wear a mask (they wear them too) to help slow the spread of COVID-19. I appreciate that! My biggest beef with bottle recycling centers is how long you have to stand in the hot sun waiting your turn while you smell that putrid trashy smell. Not so with this place. There were tons of people here, but I never actually waited. You drive in and park nose first into a slot. Grab however many yellow (yes, dirty sticky and smelly) rolling trash barrels you need and pour in your plastics (sort appropriately so you get the most out of it...don't mix your plastic types!), then wheel them over to the guy who weighs them. He hands you a slip of paper with the different weights of each type of plastic/glass you brought, and you take that slip of paper to another person about 30 feet away in a small "building" who pays you cash. That action alone frees up the gentleman to start weighing another persons recyclables. Things to mention: this place is a little hidden, and upon approach looks like a trash dump. It's sketchy...and rundown and looks a bit hastily set up. The air stinks, the ground is black and sticky, and for those with bee sting allergies, bring your epi pen, because they are buzzing EVERYWHERE. Despite all this, I recommend this place. It was dirty, but I was in and out super fast cash in hand! read more

Action Recycling - Where you turn in your slip (after weighing) for cash! - Recycling Center Near Me - Orange, California

See all

This is an excellent spot to bring your recycling. They have many large yellow containers on wheels for you to fill with your glass, aluminum or plastic. There is one way in and one way out to keep things moving efficiently. When you bring your containers to the scale they weigh each container then give you a receipt to take to the cashier. The cashier provides you with the cash and a detailed receipt. I have been going here for over 40 years and they have always been friendly, efficient, helpful, and even offer suggestions for recycling. read more

Place is a total cash grab rip off! Came here with a 6ft truck bed full of copper and walked off with $150 bucks! If it weren't for them making me stuff tiny trash cans full of my copper I would've took my stuff right back and loaded it in my truck and drove down the street off Kreamer and the 91. I went to that place and got $600 plus the day prior I just thought this place was a little closer where I was at and more convient but boy did I pay the price, literally...people do yourself the favor and go to SA recycling. Do not even bother with this place unless your a twe**er and want a quick dime sack for cash. Oh and also there is no phone line here you can call read more

We love coming to this recycling center! The guys who work are fast and efficient! There's one way in and one way out which makes it better and doesn't cause any traffic! Yes, at times it may get busy, but what recycling place doesn't!? Yes, it's not a very big place, but its ok. read more

I wanted to get a review in for this spot as I have been coming here for a while now to get my re-cycle on. I have never had any issues here whatsoever. The staff here is very helpful and friendly ( they remind you that they match other competitors coupons), and i never have had to wait for a long period of time like some other places. The also accept other items such as old computers as well. What I also like is that they have hand sanitizer available, and an area to wash your hands. Give Action Recycling a shot! read more

Great little place with nice guy working there. The asphalt could use resurfacing. Some pot holes disrupt pushing the carts often. The Gal at the window could be a little more friendlier too. But overall a decent place to take your recycling. read more

Nice like recycling yard not Much parking and very tight parking if u have a large vehicle I'd recommend parking on street because it can be a challenge to get out if it's crowded And don't take ur vehicle there if u just had it washed since it's a dirt lot haha read more

I take my recycling here and everything always goes smoothly. Even when it's busier they still pretty quickly. Kinda a weird lot but whadda ya gonna do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Prices seem comparable to other recycling places read more

I started using this recycling facility when the one I usually used closed down. This place is much smaller and pretty run down but everyone is kind and works efficiently. read more

They are usually fast and the staff helpful but it does get busy at the weekends so you may need to wait a little while to be able to unload your truck or car. read more

The pay for plastic and aluminum isn't great but the workers here are fast and efficient. There are A LOT of bees

I Truly think that action recycling is a horrible place to go recycling. This place took are cans and only gave use 50 dollars back when we had way more then 50 dollars worth of cans and Parking is horrible there is only 6 parking spots. You must not go there I recommend any other place rather then action recycling. read more

Great little out of the way place. Seems recycling sites are diminishing. Brought my grandson here, teaching him about earning and saving money. He was enthralled by the little operation of separating and watching the conveyer belt distribution the cans, plastic and glass. The assistant was pleasant and overall we had a good experience. Will be our go to place for our future transactions. read more

After my usual recycling center closed last yr, I found this place. Whole process was relatively quick and easy. It is a bit out of the way for me but I had such a pleasant experience that Im willing to make the drive. read more

This place will accept competitor coupons and rates, which gets a big bump from me so I do not have to go to another recycler to get the best rate from my stuff. Just show proof of the other competitor rates in OC. There is adequate parking for about 5-8 cars. Service seems friendly enough. No complaints here. read more

Unfortunately the woman who works in the trailer who gives you your money is very rude. She is very condescending. I will definitely be going to a different recycling center from now on. read more

This place gets the job done, you place your bottles and cans in these big trash cans they weigh them and you get your money for recycling. Easy process and a sink to wash your hands. read more

I give this place a 1 star rating because they used to pay out more. Mind you that I have been coming to this pave for nearly 2 years. Now for the past 3 to 4 weekends. I have taken the same amount of large bags of bottles when i used to average 24 dollars & now the most i get is between 16 to 18 dollars. They write down a number & hand it to you instead of printing it out. They may very well be ripping people off in that manner. I will NEVER EVER go back there whatsoever. I don't recommend for no 1 to ever go there, unless anybody likes to get ripped off. read more

So the only reason we stopped here was the place we normally go was closed, let me say the people were very nice but... the lot needed to be cleaned at very least, repaved would be better. The gentleman doing intake was great but there was a lot of " where do I go" and felt a bit understaffed read more

Despite apearing as a backyard set-up, they're quite efficient and quick, rarely ever a long wait.

I always go here. The people here are friendly. Good service. Great prices! They pay more for aluminum cans. They speak English and Spanish . I recommend this place read more

Wow ... the nerve of some people ... my beef is with the hood rats they have working the cash register. The hard workers helping you weigh are good with me. These chicks think they are run way models which they are not. They are not friendly and you can tell they hate there job. They think all clients are cracked out and need the $10.00 one usually gets when recycling. We'll there wrong, I hold a 6 figure job and own a $650k home. So wake up and smell your cans you need to treat people with more respect. Will never go back, there's another place right up the street that pays better anyway. Happy 2017 miserables. read more

Quick and convenient. The staff are nice and helpful. There's enough space to accommodate multiple parties at once. Brought a few bags of bottles and cans to recycle and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. read more

well came here for the first time a few months ago with my crazy alcoholic woman beater boyfriend..thankfully hes now fired as the donald says!...anyway penny pinching coupon cutting indiot brought all his empty bud lite cans here and he got I think 60.00 or 70.00 at the time...anyway i remembered this place so i came here with empty water bottles.juice bottles...etc...saved about four tall kitchen bags full of plastic and brought them here....this place isnt clean or tidy but hey I dont think you will find fluff at any recycle place..when you pull in expect it to be small there are a few spots to park and unload but if thats full you will have to park outside the gate and carry you stuff in so anyway once inside you grab a yellow trash can and start filling up your can with your material when its full you carry it over to the man who works there and he puts it on a scale..bottles are five cents each so you know... after your goods are put on the scale he prints out your reciept and you take it to the cashier in the booth and cha ching! you get your money.I have never been into recycling however saving the planet and getting some chump change for it..isnt a bad thing after all and if your an alcoholic like my ex who drinks 20 beers a night ..hey now you can FUND your way back into your dysfuctional drinking habit...lmfao!.LOSER! Please leave me alone! read more

Had a good experience at this place. No crowd at all. In there and out of there. Unlike a lot of recycling places where I end up standing in line for a long time. The attendant there was friendly and helpful. Very quick in processing my items. read more

OMG! It was one of the best experiences I have had going to a recycling center. Alfredo was very quick and friendly. He did tell me that he was very busy prior to me showing up, so I arrived at a very good time. Mary, the cashier, was friendly and efficient. read more

I went to cash in on a Friday afternoon. I have been going to this place about 2 years and I know what hours they close. Anyway the hours posted on the gate say Monday thru Friday 8:00 - 4:30 p.m I go to park inside the gate and a worker comes out and tells me they are closed. I say it isn't 4:30 yet and he says they have a note on the gate saying they close at 4:15. Now I ask you what business closes at 4:15 anything :15 the answer is NONE well I ask him please I have used my gas to come here he don't care of course and sends me on my way. Needless to say I am not a happy camper. I will not be taking my business there and neither should you. read more

NOT GOOD!! When I left on my previous visit, I felt that I had been taken advantage of on both the weight and the price per pound for my aluminum cans. This time I called and talked to a representative there and I asked if their company accepted coupons from another facility and the reply was yes for the face value of the coupon. When I brought my cans two days later the story changed and I received $.20 per pound less than the face value of the coupon. read more

RIP OFF ALERT!! This place used to be a reputable company. In fact, we took all of our recycling there for more than 15 years. Now when you call them, they quote you 30-40 cents lower than other places less than 5 miles from them. It may not seem like much but when you take 40-50 pounds of cans and plastic, it adds up to about a $20.00 difference. If you are going to save the cans for months, why not get top dollar for them? They also no longer honor any coupons, which they used to do for years. They blame the Pennysaver going out of business, yet most of the time we took coupons from other people's websites. It sounds like the owner has just got greedy. OC Register has written many articles on companies like this ripping people off. Don't fall for it. They may be great for scrap items, but not for cans! With scrap comes the problem with punctured tires, which we have had happen twice there over the last ten years. Match that with poor recycling prices, and it isn't worth the hassle! Too bad too since they are just down the street from us. read more
