    Mole mushroom tacos

It doesn't like the reviews are current. I had to go back and check the address to see if I was describing the same place. Anyway, we had a very good meal here. The tacos were Mexican not TexMex. Some were adapted to some of preferred local ingredients and others like the carnitas and cochinita pibil were classics. The mixed drinks were delicious too. The service was prompt and friendly. I'd go back if I were staying longer in town. You should make reservations if you want the sit down experience otherwise they have some taco stands in town as well.

My housemate recommended this place, as a foodie who follows Noma and the staff who work there. Sanchez was started by Chef Sanchez, apparently an alumni of Noma. We flew into Copenhagen on a Monday morning and were luckily able to land a reservation at Sanchez for a table of 2 for 8pm that evening. The restaurant was packed when we arrived, and it took a while to get water and menus (we had to flag down a waiter). We had to do this yet again when requesting another water glass. Once we ordered a cocktail and food, the plates came out quickly but after our last course, we received no attention for 15 minutes until flagging down our waiter again. Surprisingly slow service for a Monday evening - perhaps the downside of the instant popularity generated by being associated with Noma. The plates themselves were small but tasty - the tortilla chips were fresh and had an excellent crunch. The guacamole too was great. Oddly, we received no side plates, even for the appetisers which were shared. This meant that the table got pretty messy fairly quickly (cauliflower ceviche drips about as much as you'd think) and I managed to stain a nearly new shirt... There was basically no choice when it came to larger plates - as of February 2018 you either order two tacos (with a filling that changes depending on the day - today it was "dirty carnitas" for meat eaters or goat cheese, avocado mayonnaise and vegetables for vegetarians) or the five course tasting menu. This was a little confusing so we ordered 3 of the 5 possible appetisers and a large plate each and were mostly satisfied. I don't have a bearing for cost in the Copenhagen area but it felt a little expensive for what we received. That said, the service was ultimately what fell short (and hopefully something that is easy to improve) - hence the 3 star review.

I don't understand these reviews at all. My husband and I had a wonderful time. The food was delicious! We ordered the 5 favorites, taco of the day and the churro. Every single one was amazing and so creative. We saved it for our last night in Copenhagen and we're glad we did. Service was friendly and attentive despite it being crazy busy. I wish I caught the name of our waitress. She had long blonde hair and was very sweet! She really was so nice. We had a great experience; we left with our palates dancing and our bellies full!

I was VERY excited about this place. It came to my attention after watching Ugly Delicious, the tacos episode. When I decided I was going to Copenhagen, reserving a table here was the 1st thing I did after reserving our hotel. We finally came here for dinner tonight. The place is cute. Decor is simple, much like most places we've seen in Copenhagen. The South American music was nice. I knew in advance that it was gonna be expensive in Copenhagen. I also knew in advance it was gonna be expensive at Sanchez but I didn't think it was gonna be THAT expensive. I really don't have a problem with paying a lot for great food (which it absolutely was) but the portions were quite mini for the price they cost. Anyhow! The staff was incredible! Happy, courteous, super helpful & friendly. We ordered 3 "small bites" to share: -Two Oysters (with a sauce made with habanero & sea buckthorn) -Pork Chicharron (which came w a yummy salsa) -Octopus Tostada (grilled octopus in pastor paste on avocado slices covered in sauce made with cured eggyolk & habanero) Then we each had an order of "big bite" which consisted of 2 tacos of pulled pork, pickled red onions & habanero. Everything was delicious, no doubt, even though I know a few Mexicans who would be anywhere between confused & pissed off at the bill, LOL!!!! I recommend this place if you can afford the Copenhagen foodie experience. I am very happy that we went :)
