    Margaritas

the food was great! We had amazing tacos and rly good margs as well as guacamole and corn. I will say it would definitely be worth it to get the all you can eat deal because we were still hungry after ordering one round of tacos each, and the all you can eat is a pretty good deal considering it includes margaritas.

    Platains and tacos!

Went with two other friends because we've been craving tacos in what seems like forever. Their appetizers and sides are amazing. The guacamole, plantains, elote etc. all worth it! However, the tacos themselves did not live up to the expecting we had. No flavor, no spice and a very weird almost synthetic smell from the tortilla. Frozen mango margarita was good, and we'd all go back for appetizers and sides, but unfortunately not for the tacos themselves. As the picture shows however, their food is very instagrammable indeed!

The soft tacos were way smaller than I expected BUT the flavor was crazy good. I had the vegetarian options and accidentally ordered 4. I ate them all no regrets - so darn tasty!

    Mango margarita - delicious

Friendly service. Prices are a little high, but the food is good. The guacamole and salsa were both very good. As a vegan I wanted the portobello burger without cheese but was told the cheese is already mixed in with the mushrooms so that was not an option. Bummer. So, I went with the sweet potato burrito without crema. It was delicious. The portion size was large and filling. I paid extra for the plantains and guac and salsa and those were very good. Mango margarita was also great. Seating was a little tight but intimate. For 3 people it was just over 100 US dollars. A little high.

Finally went. Got a burrito bowl with braised veal, some guac, and tacos to share with a friend. It hit the spot and I felt like a hundred dollars afterward (that's a good thing) so without knowing for sure I'm guessing they use quality ingredients. It's not every day I'm eating burrito bowls but when the urge arose last weekend, Bar Burrito nailed it. The waitstaff was also super friendly which I feel like is absolutely worth mentioning.

Two months into my temporary Danish residency, I couldn't take it any longer - I needed Mexican food!! Coming from San Diego, I'm accustomed to some top notch guac/burritos/tacos and was ready to put Barburrito to the test. We booked a super late rezzie @ 9:45 because they were booked until then but we showed up 20 minutes early to see if they could squeeze us in. The host was pretty stern in saying that the place was full and that we couldn't stand by the bar so we left to grab a drink until 9:45. When we came back he told us our reservation was at 10pm... What? Not sure how it changed? So we left again, grabbed another drink and finally got our seat at 10pm. We ordered margaritas right away - pretty standard but very weak, barely tasted the tequila. After about 15 minutes of being ignored our waitress (who was very nice) came back and told us that the kitchen closed in 10 minutes so we have to order quickly. Would have been nice to take our order 15 minutes ago... We ordered two chip and guac plates to start. The chips were great but they gave us enough guac for about one chip - holding back on the good stuff! And it was more of an avocado cilantro mash than guacamole. I ordered two chicken two veggie tacos. The shredded chicken was pretty good and the veggie was just roasted peppers onions and guac. They are super small so I suggest ordering more than 4. Barburrito has a super fun and lively atmosphere but the average food and poor service make it worthy of 3 stars. Not many other Mexican options in the city so I'll probably find myself desperate enough to come back.

Really loved the tacos here. I don't eat meat so I had the veggie tacos and the shrimp tacos. The shrimp was delicious and the veggie tacos were some of the most flavorful that I have had. The tacos also came with some really nice sauces. I also enjoyed the drinks- i had one of the mojitos. My friend had the black bean hummus and she loved it and my other friend had a burrito. It was a ton of food but she was very pleased. We went on a Friday night and thus needed a reservation. It is not a big place so I would recommend making a reservation.

I have been to barburrito several times, its always a great experience. They had a Cinco de Mayo party that included unlimited tacos and selected cocktails and beer for two hours, I must say I'm so glad I found out about this in time to book a table. Since we were a party of two and the place is quite small, and it was a Friday night we were seated at the bar. It was actually great because the servers were quite attentive even though it was busy and quite the party atmosphere. It was definitely a fun night! Drinks and tacos kept pouring in, the food was delicious. We had the pork, veal, chicken and vegetarian tacos. I especially loved the vegetarian and chipotle chicken tacos. I added the habanero hot sauce, and also the medium hot sauce which gave it a delicious taste! The veggie tacos came with guacamole, mushrooms and tomatoes - so flavorful! The drinks were also good - the margarita was a bit sweet for me so I kept with the ginger mojito which was fantastic! Fun yet chill place with great Mexican food - this place is a real gem! And they play great music! Remember to book a table on weekends! I also read on Thursday's they have bingo going to have to check out!

For some reason I've never had much tex-mex food whilst "out and about" before. But Barburrito has definitely peaked my interest! I decided to book a table one sunday evening because of all the great reviews on Yelp. Three taco-hungry Norwegian friends were visiting for the weekend. We were all very well-welcomed by the friendly staff and a crowded, but cosy (super warm place) atmosphere. The look and feel of the joint was quite "Mexican" (my interpretation of Mexican, that is) with wooden and tiled walls, neon lights in the windows and decorations ala "Dia de los Muertos". The waitress seemed to be quite fresh in the game, but was very friendly and informed us about the menu. We ordered chicken tacos and two different kinds of pork tacos. One was the so-called taco of the week and was quite spicy, but super yummy. My more independent friend got a chicken burrito, which I was informed was also delicious. Extra guacamole were had by all. Of course. Everything I got tasted wonderful. Plus points are given for putting plenty of coriander on the tacos, on the guacamole, on everything! Minus points could be given for the two banana flies that were buzzing around our table when we got there. But then again, I'm all for authenticity! Were it not for a little slow service and some confusion about how much we were supposed to pay, I would definitely give it five stars!

Taste of Mexico right here in Copenhagen. Delicious, authentic Mexican burritos! Try the braised veal burrito, you won't regret it!... and as a starter get the plantains. Caution: you will be full after this meal. Atmosphere is good, but typically very crowded. Last time I was there, I was constantly bumping shoulders with the guy next to me because there were too many people seated to a bench. Besides this little detail, I will definitely go again!

Top: Seared tuna tacos with guacamole, chipotle mayonnaise, and crispy onions (so good!) Bottom: crispy pork with onions.

I loved Copenhagen, and there are many reasons why. However, the main one was how quickly and easily I was able to find great places to eat...just by walking down the street, closing your eyes, and pointing in any direction. Barburrito looked pretty inconspicuous from outside (had I blinked, I would have missed it). The inside was super dark and super hipster. We were told that the booths were all booked (though all empty...), but we were glad to sit at the bar. One of the bartenders was Swedish, and another was Norwegian. I loved how international the place was. As a native English speaker it pleased me to be able to converse with all the servers. They were all super friendly, and the Swedish bartender was more than happy to sit with us for a few minutes and explain all our options. Seriously, I've never seen someone smile that much while describing tacos that they were going to watch others devour. We ordered a burrito and 2 kinds of tacos to split. The tacos were crispy pork and their special that week(or month?), seared tuna. Both were incredibly tasty, and I enjoyed the variety and creativity of toppings. This isn't a very authentic Mexican place, but I didn't go in expecting that either. The burrito contained braised veal and I couldn't believe just HOW much meat was in it. I have to admit, I love burritos due to all their delicious innards; rice, beans, meat, sauce, guacamole.. mm. I missed that here, but it helped to validate the price tag.

    Lime margarita on the rocks.

Really tasty food in a cool and hip interior. Margaritas are super tasty and the burrito was flavorful and filling served with sides of hot sauce. I'm not a huge fan of sweet potatoes in general but I decided to give the vegan burrito a go. Not authentic mexican but a great place to relax, eat, and drink.

I hope they can keep up the momentum. Downstairs is the underground, gritty part which is more prohibition style, in the sense that people would hide away in dark basements. The lighting is low with exposed brick walls. Very hyggelig. The drink selection downstairs is your low tier spirits, beer, and house wine. They have my favorite mason jar lighting, and they serve the single mixes in mason jars. You go upstairs and you have brighter lighting, nice chandeliers, and lamps, with the high end liquors, yummy cocktails, beer and wine. The bartenders are great and know their stuff. They are also very friendly which is a plus! The clover club is great, along with the espresso martini which they make with fresh brewed espresso. It makes a difference. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I hope this place is here to stay!

But I have to admit hands down that they have nice tap list and not the usual bodega fares with easy pilsner and some yellow-ish lager. With the location just across Torvehallerne, it makes craft beer drinking even easier this way. When they announced that they have Evil Twin's Imperial Biscotti Break on tap, I just had to visit and drag two fellow drinkers Mina K and Anders A with me. Their tap list was mostly dominated by IPA when we were there this week and only two stouts *sobs* but it was nice of them to put up the ratebeer score on the list so it would spare some beer geeks' time to look it up on their app. Free water by the bar and a nice friendly bartender although the inside could be a bit too dark and bodega-ish to me. Whatever, if they have nice things on tap again, I would brace myself to scoot over Torvehallerne to this place again.

The five stars say it all - it was love at first sight and I hope this relationship will be a long…read morelasting one It was only yesterday that I had the chance to visit this place myself, a place that Mina K and my other friends rambled about that serves BOTH cocktails and beer, how convenient is that since I like them both? *ahem* We arrived a little bit too early yesterday and decided to wait patiently for our booze outside by the bench when the nice bartender invited us in way before the opening hours. She probably got some hunches that we needed alcohol and we needed it now. The pleasant experience didn't end just there, I ordered a cocktail called "Deez Nuts" (no worry, no politics in the ingredients list, just rum, lemon, hazelnuts and eggwhites!) and Mina K ordered Ryan's Apples. We were told to sit down and she would deliver our cocktails (another fine service!) to our table. Since she just opened the place, she lighted some candles to make "hygge" and gave us a bottle of sparkling water to share as well. When the cocktail came, I was floored by the amazing flavour. I had never been a huge fan of rum (I do love me some rum raisin ice cream and mojito, but that's it) but this cocktail was just nice - unfortunately I am not a poet and couldn't describe it in pretty words, but it was very delightful and refreshing to drink. Mina K's cocktail (Ryan's Apple) was very nice too, although I didn't like the cinnamonny taste - but that's just me, I don't like cinnamon that much. Apart from cocktails, they do have some very interesting beer from Mikkeller (duh!) after all, it's a Mikkeller bar. The huge plus side of this place is also the fact that it's walking distance from Nørreport st / Torvehallen. You could get something delicious from Torvehallen and then walk here for some "refreshment" (like we did after the wonderful tacos from Yuca Taco yesterday). It's far more convenient location than Mikkeller in Viktoriagade or the one in Stefansgade.... and it does serve both cocktails and beer, just in case you're not in the mood for the other. A short summary of my long review is: This place serves booze and it makes me happy.

I just didn't know about this one! It's much smaller than the other two and has also the pro of cocktails that the others don't have. The bartender told me they have been open for half a year now but the word apparently hasn't gone so much around. The interior was as the other two bars, and I love that style. A lot of wood and some colours. They had some draft beers and a bunch of interesting cocktails. The bartender was very helpful and nice. He even brought sparkling water to our table! Great service! :) The beer was good, I had the number 5 called three times bitter (xxx bitter). For a cosy evening this place is great. It's just not so visible from the street as there are always parked cars in front of it and it is a little bit under ground.
