We knew it was a popular bar so we went Friday evening, when it had just opened. As there were not many people, we got space at the bar near a window overlooking the street. Stunning views outside as night fell. I personally love to sit at the bar because you have front row seats to see all the action while they prepare the drinks. The mixologists were friendly, they recommended drinks according to our tastes and preferences, I must say they were pretty accurate. Located along busy Vesterbrogade north of the meatpacking district, you ring a door bell to get into the waiting area. Once in, the bookshelf opens into the bar space. During the week, they keep the front room open and open the back room on weekends when its more than tourists visiting. The cocktail menu is long, but even better are the bartenders. Taking pride in what they do, you can ask them to make a drink that you like. They appreciate the challenge. My friend and I both did bartender's choice and were pleased with our drinks. We also had fun chatting with the two bartenders. They asked us questions about our hometown and gave us many insights into Copenhagen life and Danish culture.

They are also very friendly which is a plus! The clover club is great, along with the espresso martini which they make with fresh brewed espresso. It makes a difference. But I have to admit hands down that they have nice tap list and not the usual bodega fares with easy pilsner and some yellow-ish lager. With the location just across Torvehallerne, it makes craft beer drinking even easier this way. When they announced that they have Evil Twin's Imperial Biscotti Break on tap, I just had to visit and drag two fellow drinkers Mina K and Anders A with me. Their tap list was mostly dominated by IPA when we were there this week and only two stouts *sobs* but it was nice of them to put up the ratebeer score on the list so it would spare some beer geeks' time to look it up on their app. Free water by the bar and a nice friendly bartender although the inside could be a bit too dark and bodega-ish to me. Mina K's cocktail (Ryan's Apple) was very nice too, although I didn't like the cinnamonny taste - but that's just me, I don't like cinnamon that much. Apart from cocktails, they do have some very interesting beer from Mikkeller (duh!) after all, it's a Mikkeller bar. The huge plus side of this place is also the fact that it's walking distance from Nørreport st / Torvehallen. You could get something delicious from Torvehallen and then walk here for some "refreshment" (like we did after the wonderful tacos from Yuca Taco yesterday). It's far more convenient location than Mikkeller in Viktoriagade or the one in Stefansgade.... and it does serve both cocktails and beer, just in case you're not in the mood for the other. They also serve a small and big tapas board with different cheeses, sausages, bread and the best caramelized apple compote ever. But if you're hungry for anything else it's best to eat before coming. The place seems popular as an after work bar based on the crowd on a Friday evening, and even at 17 we were lucky to get a table. So if you are more than two people it is advisable to reserve a table beforehand. It can also get quite loud when all the tables are full, so it's not the best place for conversation on a Friday evening at least. Will maybe try again on a weekday when it might be more calm.
