Rafael and his helper were hired to do a cleanup of my backyard hillside. The plants are numerous and they were all overgrown. They did a fantastic job! So much so that I hired them as my full time gardener. I highly recommend Sanchez Gardening read more

Yes good work in mowing my yard and they on time communicate well with me and they are serious to satisfy me as a customer.

Rafael (Sanchez Gardening) and his colleague did a phenomenal job with cleanup, shrub pruning and haul away. They were timely and continued to check in with me, ensuring they met my expectations. I've also hired them on to continue with weekly maintenance. Highly recommend! read more

Great job! I received a fast friendly response and job was done within a couple of hours. I would highly recommend Sanchez gardening.

When people see me outside my house, they routinely complement me on my lawn. I can't stop gushing about Manny and his crew. I was magic. They turned my nasty lawn into a beautiful front yard. Also, my backyard grass in a rich green and feels like a carpet. read more

My father hired Raphael last year to landscape my garden and we were so impressed with his work that when it started getting overgrown with weeds this year, I knew exactly who to call. (Mind you, I didn't have him apply any chemicals last year as I have two elderly dogs that I don't like exposing to chemicals so I fully expected the weeds to return after this winter's rains). I messaged Raphael on a Saturday to inquire about having work done again and he responded within a few hours and arranged to come by that same day to asses the situation. On Monday he arrived bright and early and by mid afternoon all the weeds had been cleared from both my front and back garden. He even checked my sprinkler system and took all the rubbishy with him to the dumpster so that I wouldn't have to deal with putting bags out for the next two weeks. Raphael really made the whole process incredibly quick and easy and I'm so grateful to be able to enjoy spending time in my garden again. I will definitely be calling him again and recommend him to annoying looking for a friendly and efficient gardener. read more

I had been obsessing about what to plant in my small garden plot for a long time and kept getting stumped on what pollinator-friendly plants(help the bees!!) could work in 4 hours of blistering sun per day. After reaching out to several people I found Rafael on Yelp and had a great time working with him! He encouraged me to look for flowers I liked and then he would advise if they would thrive in my location, and he made himself for me to send him pictures and get his feedback whenever I needed it. When prepping day came he was able to seal the side of the garden bed so water wouldn't get into the house, then he prepped the soil, planted everything, and installed sprinklers. Everything's blooming very nicely now with no die-offs, and we're getting a lot of compliments from our neighbors. I'd highly recommend working with Rafael if you like taking part in the process and collaborating with someone who is very knowledgable, efficient, and reliable. Another thing to add - out of all the contractors I've worked with Rafael is the ONLY one who was exactly punctual every single time. That deserves a medal unto itself. read more

Rafael, owner of Sanchez Gardening is a very nice man and easy to talk to, so you immediately feel at ease with him. Something, I find important, especially when hiring someone to work at my home. I had a mess of wildly overgrown roses and hedges, and Rafael, along with his crew, arrived on time and did an amazing job trimming them back to a presentable state. The fee was reasonable, and the cleanup was quick and efficient. I'm extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend Sanchez Gardening. read more

My husband contacted this company after several estimates from other gardeners. We were having a party and our yards were real bad! Over growth and lack of care was the issue. Raphael was the best quote. They removed two tree and cleaned up the front and back yard..... It came out beautifully. We couldn't be happier. They went above & beyond. Everyone at the party couldn't believe how nice the yards looked. We will definitely be using him & his company again! Thank you Raphael read more

Great service & will be using again for clean- up and hopefully maintenance. We have a large yard and had a lot of leaves and bushes overgrown. They spent 8 hours doing our yard clean up. It looks gorgeous now! Main pro's 1) Returned my first call even though I left a voicemail. Was kind and courteous on the phone. 2) Prompt timing (within a few days) to evaluate our home and give us a quote. Showed up early which is always nice 3) Came for a walk through to again see EXACTLY what we wanted 2 days before we did the clean-up service. 4) Was prompt, courteous, and clean and genuinely a nice crew. read more

Sanchez Gardening has completely transformed our cactus backyard into a kid-friendly garden with roses, lavenders, green grass and planter boxes to grow vegetables. They also set-up a sprinkler system on timers and total cost of the project is very reasonable. The owner Rafael is very professional, down-to-earth and a super nice man. His associate is very hardworking and equally nice. They will go above and beyond to make sure everything is done right and on schedule. All in all the experience was excellent. I highly recommend this company - very dependable and a pleasure to work with. read more

Mr Sanchez and his team are great! I'm just sorry I did not take any before pictures, because my yard was a mess after the recent rains I had weeds everywhere and big ones!! My previous gardener had disappeared and I did not have any Woody for a few months. I randomly found Sanchez and from the minute I called he was very responsive came later that day to look at my yard, we settled on a day for him to come and do a lot of yard work including planting new plants. They did a great job! I am going to have them trim my trees next! Don't hesitate to give them a call for any size job, from my experience they are very honest, hard-working, reasonably priced and reliable! Thank you Sanchez gardening! read more

The fire department notified us that we needed to clear the brush on the hill below our house, as it does every year. My neighbor gave me Rafael Sanchez's contact information and he did a wonderful job last Saturday, including taking the brush collected to the dump. Since the hill is about at a 40 degree angle, it's a difficult job and I'm grateful for his handling of this difficult task. PL read more

My yard is "low maintenance," but that occasional rain we get in spring and a few weeks of neglect lead to a whole jungle of weeds and dog do-do bombs. Sanchez is my guy! He is prompt, friendly, reasonable, and non-judgmental about the mess I've made. He comes in and, in what would take me a month to get through (and back pain to deal with), cleans the place up within hours!!!! Now if only he could get my dog to use the toilet..... Sanchez is great! You'll love your yard and his work! I do! read more

I asked Rafael to help with my back/front yards. he said he would be able to help with the weeds, reseeding etc. We agreed for him to come by at 730 since he said that he was not able to 8. ok fine. At 7:59 i get a TEXT MESSAGE saying my side gate is locked. (note! i have two 6 month old puppies so of course i am not going to leave it unlocked, nor would i have just left it unlocked even if i didnt). i responded right away and came out to let him in. he was waiting in the car and then approaches me to let me know he had all his equipment out and was waiting for me. he said he knocked on the gate and since no one answered he loaded his equipment back onto his truck. i dont doubt that he knocked, but since i dont have a door bell why didnt you just call when you were there? you knew i was there. i was really confused by that and his hesitation since he repeated how he had already put everything back. i asked, "so are still able to do it?" and again with hesitation he says, " well i mean..." so with that, i told him forget it! as he walks off he thanks me for wasting his time. when i get back in my house, i see he had replied to my first message to letting him in, and he asks, who was paying and it has to be in cash. well of course im going to make sure you received the money. why wouldnt i? but if you had enough time to send that message, AFTER you had reloaded all your equipment then why make it seem like you cant do it????? seems like a cool guy, and im sure his work wouldve been as others say but dont blame this on me. if you really came to make your business grow and receive the money, then you wouldve made it happen. your approach about that was really poor! :) read more

Rafael is awesome. He and his guys cleaned up my yard, got rid of the weeds cleaned up the trees. I'm so happy with the service. Prompt response, reasonable rates and very professional. read more

We moved into our home with the intention to go drought tolerant but didn't have concrete plans on what to do or when we would be able to do it. What we didn't expect was a winter of rain to turn our yard into a forest of weeds. Cut to Rafael who not only responded to my call within an hour but was also able to give us an estimate a day early. Within a week he and his team were at our house cleaning up our mess. They removed all of the weeds and dead grass in the front (much to the neighbors relief) thereby giving us a clean slate to start our drought tolerant landscape, trimmed the hedges, cleaned up the grass in the backyard and gave our Pomelo tree a much needed haircut. The price was fair, the work was quality and Rafael is incredibly friendly and easy to work with. read more

I called Sanchez Gardening on Saturday to get a quote, and I was fortunate enough that Rafael was only a few minutes away on another job. He came by and gave me a comparable quote to others I had received, but his timeliness and the sense of reliability he exuded set him apart. Additionally, he was able to do the work the following Monday. I don't know if there's such a thing as an urgent gardening project, but if there is, mine was it, so I was relieved to have it taken care of so promptly. It wasn't a small job--months of neglect coupled with this spring's crazy rain had the yard overgrown. But he and a partner arrived Monday morning at 10, and a few hours later had the place looking beautiful. I am now considering contracting him for regular cleanup. Beyond satisfied with the work he did. read more

First of all, thank you to Rafael and Mario for working hard to get the yard work cleaned up. From all of the rain and accumulation of weeds in flower beds, etc., it was an overwhelming mess (for my standards). Rafael also checked the sprinkler system which he assessed the situation and fixed. Courteous and professional. Thank you for a job well done. Appreciate your coming out this way to spend the day in completing this project. read more

Hmmm... Clearly asking him to drive by means we don't want to disturb the tenants, so why is he talking about informing tenants about him getting on the property... It is exactly what we are trying to avoid. read more

Great service and advise for my property. I will be using them again, and recommend them.

I needed yard work and two trees pulled so I called a few different places and ended at Sanchez Gardening. Well I am real glad I did as I talked to Raphael and he gave me a very good price. He was very easy to talk to and he gave me ideas as to how he could take care of my problem yard. We made a date to have the work done and everything went very smooth. They showed up on time and went right to work. By the time I got home from work they were finished and had already left and the yard looked great. Now I am going to see about getting a maintenance plan from them. These guys are great and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.. Great job Raphael and thank you... read more

I left 2 messages fairly early on Tuesday morning to ask about getting a quote on having some work done. It's now Wednesday night and he never bothered to return my call, and what kind of proper business doesn't have anyone to answer the phone anyway? With the good reviews, I was interested in giving this company a chance, especially because their address is not very far away, but not any more. I want somebody who is reliable and accessible during business hours. read more

Excellent work and a great guy. Would use his services again if I hadn't moved out of the area.

I am extremely impressed with Raphael's work, professionalism, and knowledge. If you need a gardener, don't look further. I had him clean out and trim my yards from years of neglect and he and his men did a AAA job. He has a fantastic work ethic, was on time, and always returned my calls. I can recommend him without question. My next job for him is landscaping and no doubt it will be beautiful. read more

I SCORED! I was fortunate enough recently to find Sanchez Gardening when I was looking to exploit a very short-notice 'window of opportunity' to get my property cleaned up. After (literally) months of neglect, due to (insert life issues here ;), the place was in Very Poor shape, and I needed some extensive trimming, cleaning and general landscape maintenance done. After returning my call quickly, on a Saturday, no less (the first Great sign- so many folks take a full day to call back), I was pleased to hear Raphael would be able to come by that evening to bid the job. He showed up earlier than projected (which also helped me out), and was extremely pleasant to talk with, and very studious about walking the property and making sure we both understood clearly the work to be done (read: Professional). He came out bright & early Monday, and he and his assistant got right after it, and kept at it until it was beautiful again! He went above & beyond in a number of areas, even removing a (really) nasty dead hedge, and trimming an out-of-control tree in the front yard until it looked like a 'feature' and not a 'problem'.. ;) All in all, more than five hours in the (Brutal right now) Sylmar heat.. No fun. And although I would certainly not have faulted them for taking a lunch and cooling down for a bit, they just kept moving until it looked Awesome. The place looks better now than the day I moved in, not kidding. The price agreed was more than fair, and the work Raphael and his man performed was extensive and meticulous. He was able to make it happen on (very) short notice, and didn't even balk at the fact that this was not a contract, but a one-off clean-up (I usually maintain my own place, but, again (life issues)). To summarize; I asked a LOT, and he came out & gave EVEN MORE, and was a genuine pleasure to do business with. I will ABSOLUTELY be calling Raphael back again the next time the situation arises, that I'm not able to handle it all myself. If you choose to give Sanchez Gardening a shot, I believe you will be MORE than pleasantly surprised at their congenial demeanor, their professionalism, and most importantly, the caliber of the work they perform. read more

I've hired so many gardeners in the past, that should've chosen another line of work. Mr. Sanchez, left a business.card at my front door, like so many others. I added his card to my collection of gardeners until I was ready to find a new gardener. I've had major health issues and my property was over run by overgrown trees and weeds. I call Mr. Sanchez, and was very pleased when he quickly returned my call. He stopped by that evening as he promised. I began to show him what all had to be done, and also explained my financial situation. He gave his recommendations, and that was the beginning of our friendship several years ago. Yesterday Raphiel (Mr. Sanchez, is so formal) cut down one tree and completely removed another one. I am so pleased with him and his crew. My property is so open now, I love it. If you are looking for not only a good gardener but a good person to complete your gardening, I highly recommend Sanchez Gardening. read more

Great team. We have them come every week. Responsive and courteous and willing to work with every request.

We had really let our backyard go - overgrown, lots of dead wood in the citrus trees and lots of debris from some work we had done in the house. Raphael and his team always take care of my front yard and it looks great! So when I needed my backyard completely weeded, I knew they would do well. Raphael is always so sweet and him and his team work fast and efficiently. I love my yard again! read more
