Went in on a Saturday and purchased 6 pullets (baby hens). The stored picked them, put them in a box and I was on my way. When I got home one was shaking, closing it's eyes, then a few hours later died. I went back to the store and they were already closed. I came back the next day to exchange the dead bird, because: 1 they selected it, and 2 nothing I did within a few hours could have killed it, considering it was already shaking and on its way out when I got home. I understand, stuff happens and it's no ones direct fault. They happened to pick a dud. I got it, let's swap it out and I continue to get my supplies from them, right? Well, when I asked them to swap it out they said nope it's against their policy. They cannot guarantee the bird. I told them I understand, but after only a few hours??? The guy had the nerve to say "well none of our birds die." What a way to create repeat customers right? I will buy my products elsewhere moving forward. read more

The man with the cowboy hat is really rude and unwelcoming he needs to mellow his mood a little bit more if he wants his customers to come back. My daughter is in 4H. We went in to Sanchez Feed in Hanford on a Wednesday to pick up meat chickens for her animal project. The owner said he would get more on Friday. I asked if he could reserve some for me to pick up on Friday. He told me no he would not reserve them for me. He asked for my phone number so he could call me when they got there. I gave him my phone number. I never got a call on Friday. I called on Friday before they closed and was told they didn't have any meat chickens. I called again on Monday and was told they had meat chickens during the weekend but they already sold them. I asked the owner why I didn't call me. The owner said, "oh, sorry." I will not be shopping at Sanchez Feed again. read more
