Prado paid to remove my review from Google, so I am now posting here. This review is to warn other students, as I was initially excited to live so close to Midwestern. Instead, my GPA and health have taken a major hit. For months, I have struggled to even sleep and study in my own apartment. Frequent disturbances and shaking go on for half-hours at a time, multiple times each day and night due to the dysfunctional AC system (confirmed by the AC team) above my bedroom. Maintenance tried to help, but nothing can be done without agreement from management. Management has videos of the frequent noises and vibrations: water visibly shaking in a glass on my study table. They are aware I have had to sleep on a floor mattress in the hallway, as this problem extends to the living room. They are also aware that the lowest exam scores I have ever gotten have been during these months. 5 weeks ago, I finally gave up on trying to get the unit fixed. I asked if I could at least sleep and study in an empty unit. Soon after sending this email, I had to send them my 60-day notice that I would not be renewing. Management sent me the form to sign, and has since completely ceased responding. This week is finals week. San Prado has made this one SO incredibly stressful, far more than any of my previous ones. Trying to live here has undoubtedly and critically affected my scores and risked my seat in this program. Additional info I wish I had known prior: Appliances break so regularly that I see the maintenance team about once a week. My toilet has even split, which I later found out also happened to one of my classmates here- he too did not resign. In past apartments, I have had to request maintenance only a couple times max the entire year. I have found cockroaches several times. I purchased extra scrubs in anticipation of weeks when the laundry or dryer will break. I am unable to use the oven because the bottom of food burns while the top stays completely raw. My stove leaks to the point that not only does it smell strongly of gas, but my eyes sting and turn red- I try to keep my cat in my bedroom while cooking in case it damages her health. And due to highly inefficient appliances, my gas and energy bills are over 3 times that of my previous place. I thought I would save money with this one being a couple hundred cheaper each month, so was okay with the downgrade in size and quality. These bafoons trying to come inspect everyones apartments quarterly. They say its to change your air filter (bro that costs $10 i can handle it). They also say "you dont have to be home" yeah right bud im not letting people in while im not here. just super weird. the management is unresponsive and sucks. just rent some place that was built more recently. management will still suck they all do but atleast everything wont be falling apart in your "luxury apartment". trash read more

They do not actually have anyone working on site despite having an office there- they moved it off of the complex, though most of believe they're really just "working" from home because nobody answers the phone or responds to voicemails. this would be fine if the units did not have so many problems, basic appliances and functions breaking regularly. I have had to submit a maintenance requests nearly every week- the AC, laundry, fridge, shower, etc. Absolutely not "luxury" as advertised, and the only plus is that the poor maintenance team does try and are very nice. The apartment management rarely changes anything even if broken, so maint nance must try to 'fix' and "'refix' constantly. Also constantly loud here, for some reason they have leaf blowers running for hours each day. read more

Writing this review for Aasha from the Mark Taylor leasing center who provided some elite level customer service. As far as San Prado overall, it's a relatively quiet complex that's great for students at MWU across the street. If you're looking for more of a party vibe, try San Lagos just down the road. Some units are more renovated than others so make sure you're getting a nicer one when you pick out an apartment. Aside from that the place is solid overall. read more

My smoke detector started chirping after hours. Maintenance said that it was not considered an "emergency". I'm not sure the fire department would agree. I'm 78 and they suggested I get on a ladder. Not the "exceptional service" as noted in their phone message. I have been on hold for 10 minutes. No response. Terrible maintenance service. Unacceptable and unprofessional. I will not renew my lease. Stay away from Mark-Taylor apartments. read more

So since the apartment sent me a robotic response to my previous review denying that there is dog poop everywhere, garbage piling up in the dumpsters and the outside of the dumpsters not being cleaned after getting dumped, which is leading to pests including mice and others, here is some proof. Dog poop EVERYWHERE! It is ridiculous, disgusting and made my dog sick! Put up cameras and impose fines! Do something about this! Clean up the messes outside the dumpsters and stop allowing people to pile up so much trash! Stop acting like the residents are crazy when they point this out! This place used to be awesome, now it's gross! I only walked the perimeter of the pool and my building to take these photos - who knows how much more dog poop there is left everywhere. Pool area is very nice. There's a bar out by the pool with TVs. Lots of lounge chairs. Clubhouse is also very nice with a kitchen area and lots of tables to study. Two more TVs inside. Jim has a medium variety of machines and dumbbells. Apartments are spacious. Good price for the value in the area. Gated complex. Great location for students going to Midwestern. Wide variety of restaurants and good food in the area. Easy access to the freeway. Apartments have both covered and uncovered parking, which is very important during the hot months. Good location close to Westgate, P83, about 30 minute drive from downtown Phoenix, and about 40 minute drive from Scottsdale. read more

I just completed a four-year residency at San Prado Luxury Rentals. Over this time period, I have enjoyed living here with my home office. The landscaping has been kept in pristine condition. There are flowers and trees to enjoy. The neighbors with dogs are respectful and diligent about waste management. The maintenance crew is competent and timely in addressing any problem. They are friendly and go out of their way to make sure your apartment is functioning comfortably. The manager, Jovan, also addresses any concern in a fast and timely manner. He will take the time to send you a personal email and talk with you in person. In other words, the management at San Prado is responsive and makes it their number one priority that the resident is happy. I felt safe and comfortable in my two-bedroom apartment home. At each lease renewal, the carpets were professionally cleaned for free. Pest control is provided at no additional charge. The parking lot was recently torn up and a new surface was installed. The swimming pool was resurfaced the week before my move-out. There is a quadruple filtered water machine for residents at a fraction of the cost of bottled water in the stores. This tells me Mark Taylor Properties is investing in their complexes to provide a well-kept and clean environment for their residents. This is my personal opinion and experience over the last four years. read more

Got a tour from Ashley and it went great! She gave me a tour of the complex and the model units and it was all beautiful. The grounds look well kept, the residents out and about looked happy, and Ashley answered all my questions honestly. The pool/pool area are clean and well kept as well. I made an appointment for an in-person tour using their website, since you can never actually talk to a person when you call their office. I showed up for my appointment 10 minutes early and waited until 30 minutes after my scheduled time and NOBODY showed up from the leasing department for the tour. The doors to the lobby were locked so I called the phone number on the door, which was no help. I left a phone message and a text message and it took 5 days to get a response of "we are so sorry would you like to reschedule?" I tried to reschedule a time that was convenient for me, as I am not taking time off work (again) for an appointment I can't be sure they will show up for. I was told "so sorry, we don't make same day appointments". Surely, I thought they would make an exception, as THEY missed our scheduled appointment. No such luck. I don't think this property, or its staff are vey interested in filling their open units. Clearly, they feel their time is so much more valuable than mine, I will move on to another property. read more

Prices are exorbitant. Can't keep my new car clean. Landscaping is supposed to be Tuesdays but I've had my car dusted Friday after cleaning it Thursday and today Monday after cleaning it yesterday. So who knows their actual schedule. They had music by the pool for the longest time which if you have a pool view apartment you're dealing with top 40 all day. After a few weeks of complaining they finally turned it off. Who does that anyways? Corporate thinks I wanna listen to Kesha on my patio rather than enjoy the sound of the trees and fresh air? Ive asked multiple times to just be let know when the landscaping is so I can move my car or meet at the middle, and have received zero communication. Lived here for about 2 years. Very happy with the service and amenities they had to offer. Nice pool, spacious apartments, and felt very safe. Walking distance to Midwestern and close to many shops and down town Phoenix isn't far either. Moved out of state otherwise I would have stayed. read more

Great apartments! Very clean and classy feeling. In a great area. Lots of stuff to do around here. The pool is open 24 hrs and they offer valet trash service. Price is pretty fair also. If you decide to move into these luxury apartments, be sure it get the upgrades it's worth it! read more

Spent the week here with my brother, who rents one of their 3-bedroom luxury apartments. No complains about the living arrangement. They seem to be in line with expectations for what he is paying. Also, the general amenities are decent - grills and an outdoor pool. It is a shame they never seem to clean the pool, because it is set up rather nicely. Overall, I'd certainly consider renting here if I ever decent to move out west. read more

Lived here for just shy of a year while building - not much luxury going on... apartment was very dated and bathrooms never got resurfaced even though we were repeatedly promised. kitchen cabinet wood look finish peeled after a few months and no security - bikes were stolen and gate is open all day. It was broken for several weeks and open 24 hours, No one checks the pool water ph or chlorine, poop bathrooms and pool was filthy 90% of the time. In the exercise room an elliptical was broken the whole time we were here leaving only one - management was no responsive to complaints or promised things would get better but they never did - you can do way better for this price point read more

I sent my husband to numerous Mark Taylor properties while was in Arizona on a job interview.. He narrowed it down to San Lagos and San Prado. He ultimately decided on San Prado because the office staff made him feel welcome and San Lagos(only a block away) was far too large of a community. I only ever saw the images on the computer and we all know sometimes what you see isn't what you get. We were living in North Carolina so everything was handled over the phone and via e-mail. Kristin was beyond helpful throughout the process and was very welcoming when we arrived to get our keys. I didn't know that there was a college across the street and when we arrived I was wondering what we had gotten ourselves into. Though you would never know you were across from a college campus because there is no noise issues(besides the occasional slam of the door or car alarm). When we moved in there were a few things missing and within a day the maintenance guys came by and fixed those issues. A neighbors water heater broke and soaked our master bedroom floor and they came immediately and even had someone come out to clean the floor. Our water heater was acting up and within an hour of calling ON A WEEKEND they were over to check it out and get our hot water back. The grounds are well kept, the amenities are amazing. We chose San Prado because of their no dog policy, because of the office staff, the amenities and how small the property is compared to others. Like any other apartment complex if you follow the rules and keep to yourself you will love it! read more

I have lived here for a year and half and would easily recommend this to any of my classmates at Midwestern University. It's quiet, convenient, and management is attentive and helpful. Any maintenance issues I had were resolved that day. Between San Lagos and San Prado, I would recommend living here if you are looking for a smaller and quieter community. I've been living in Prado for a while, and this is the best living you could have in the West Valley. From the moment I stepped into the main office for a walk-through till now, I have never regretted choosing San Prado over San Lagos. Mark Taylor in general is a wonderful company, but the management and maintenance people are what set them apart from the other Mark Taylor apartments. I study at Midwestern, so having a quiet place to study at home is extremely vital for the time I spend here. read more

This apartment community is one of the best places I have ever lived. It is beautifully landscaped and is a super quiet place for a student like me to study. The pool area is picturesque and has three separate areas. This makes it feel like you have you're own section of the pool even when it's busy. Each apartment also comes with at least one covered spot, which is really nice during the crazy Arizona summer. One of my favorite parts about San Prado is the office manager, Kristin. She helped me with my original move in and hasn't stopped since. Whenever I need something, Kristin does not hesitate to make sure that it gets taken care of almost instantly. The service team is also always very helpful whenever I need a light bulb change or a quick fix. I would recommend San Prado to anyone. This is definitely a place that I am proud to call home. read more

San Prado is like an American luxury car. They look great but they fall apart and are not reliable. That was my experience with Prado. The service was fine until something broke down and then they were slow to address things and worked on San Prado time. Appliances frequently broke down. The soap dish in the shower fell off. The A/C broke and they took their sweet time to fix it (over a week) and had no sense of urgency to address. Their maintenance man was incompetent and couldn't fix issues and would try to rationalize why certain things wouldn't work because he didn't know how to fix it "It can't get cooler than 75 degree if the temperature outside is 99" Hopefully things have improved since I lived there but if I had a choice, I would definitely look elsewhere. There were other issues. They were not properly vetting residents. The person across from me was evicted. It was not a medical student or student but someone partying there. Police showed up on 2 occasions . Random strangers would knock on our door at night by mistake. For a luxury apartment, it was questionable if they performed any type of real background check at the time. I had stayed at other Mark Taylor properties, never saw anything like this there. You can complain to their corporate office if management isn't resolving your issues. Only after I complained to corporate were issues handled In a proper and timely fashion. Even the maintenance man wasn't scared until I told him who I contacted. Using the word "corporate" can get a lot done there. You can go on their website and email the regional supervisor/manager. I even received some compensation for my trouble. Don't feel guilty about complaining, you are paying nearly the equivalent of a mortgage to live at San Prado; you are not staying a dumpy apartment. They are charging you high prices, it's your right to make certain things are in working condition. read more

Do not live here. If you are choosing between Prado and Lagos, do NOT choose Prado. The manager is extremely rude and unprofessional, it takes almost a week (sometimes more) for maintenance to come, and when they do come, it is not guaranteed they will actually fix the problem. I moved in and my toilet wasn't flushing properly, it took them three times of coming to my apartment and telling me "everything is fine" until they finally replaced the part that wasn't working. read more

This is one of the worst apartment complexes out here. San Prado is like that gold digger out there. They look nice and pretty but they can't even be reliable to maintain themselves overtime. And yes, we have to pay for them each month yet they provide very little other than looking "cute" in return. I lived in a 2-Bedroom at San Prado for 2 years. We loved this apartment complex and thought it was one of the best in the area while my wife got her Master's Degree at Thunderbird. I always had a great experience with the staff, any time I needed something Kristin (Manager) took care of it right away with a smile. The apartment was more expensive than others but well worth the cost. To highlight this awesome service, even after I moved out the apartment called me to let me know I had a package shipped there. Many places would have done a "return to sender" since I didn't live there anymore. I recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking in the area. read more

We have lived in San Prado Apts for 2 plus years. During our time here we have never had any incidents. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, one of the best attributes is the staff make you feel like you are part of a family. They seem to know everyone that stays in their complex. The pool is a one of the best ones we have seen for an apt complex. They have more bbq grills around the complex that you never have to worry about waiting on one. read more

I have lived in San Prado Apartments for 3 years now and have had an exceptional experience. The manager, Kristen, is always a pleasure to deal with. The service staff promptly responds to requests, usually within a day, and has always done a fantastic job. The best part about this community (compared to others ie. San Lagos) is that because it is so small, all of the residents are familiar with each other and the staff knows everyone by name. The staff is also considerate of my work schedule (because I work nights) and is mindful not to disrupt me during the day when I am sleeping. You will not get that kind of customer service anywhere else. The property is also very beautiful and always well kept. I would have to say these are the best looking luxary apartments in the area. The style is classy and elegant. I even had my college graduation party in the club house last year :) As for the poor "American luxary car" analogy used below, this is far from realistic. My A/C was also having issues last summer, and the service guys were there the same day to repair it. They never seemed incompetent or unknowledgeable. In fact, they have gone out of their way many times to help me. I would reccomened these apartments to anyone looking for higher calss living in a great area. read more
