I have had pretty good service and even better now since the old manager has been gone. Any maintenance issues have been promptly tended to and concerns addressed. Other than an "ATTITUDE" form a contractor I have been pleased so far. (That plumbing company no longer services this complex, Odd huh) I did have my bicycle stolen from my porch. But, I should have locked it up better and to something structural for sure. That was NOT the complex's fault either. I gave the complex a "4" just because I knew this was not a top of the line complex nor did I expect it to be. However, I feel safe, secure and comfortable here. And this complex is way better than the average "DUMP" in San Diego for four times the rent! I'd recommend this complex to someone.

My ex and I lived at Cantala for almost 4 years, and the experience was exhausting. During that…read moretime, management changed 17-18 times, which made communication and follow-through extremely difficult. Every time a new team took over, we had to start all over again because the new staff didn't seem to have any record of what the previous team told us. We also dealt with ongoing cockroach issues in multiple units we lived in. Pest control came out many times, but the problem never fully went away based on our experience. It was stressful trying to manage that while also keeping my young son's space as clean and safe as possible. Maintenance did what they could, but some of the bigger issues in our apartment were never fixed while we lived there. For example, after a pipe burst in the unit behind us, our bathroom cabinet was water-damaged for most of our time in that unit. Each management team we spoke to told us it would be addressed after we moved out as part of future renovations. When we moved out, we were charged for several items that we believed were either normal wear and tear or pre-existing conditions. Because the management teams changed so frequently and pre-move-in documentation wasn't consistent, it has been difficult to get clear answers about which charges were actually tenant-related. If you do plan on moving here, my biggest recommendation is to get everything in writing. With constant management turnover, written communication is the only thing that stays consistent. Based on our personal experience, if you're looking for stability, reliable communication, and consistent follow-through, this may not be the right fit.

I really thought my only options were gonna be dilapidated, roach-infested, in the slums of Phoenix, or some combination of the three. Enter Nora and Prestige realty. Her whole demeanor was so uplifting, she seemed excited to help me and that made me feel excited, too. She pulled up several options in my budget & that would work with my credit, options I didn't even know existed! We settled on a beautiful, renovated studio in the downtown area, I applied and got approved within an hour. When I tell you I got in my vehicle and cried the happiest of tears. Predatory Hidden Fees, Degraded Amenities, & Unresponsive Staff…read more The Real Cost (Hidden Fees) Do the math before signing. Expect $295-$355/month in mandatory fees above base rent ($150 amenity fee, $25 parking, $70-$130 Conservice, $35 insurance, $14.95 credit reporting). That is $5,310-$6,390 extra over an 18-month lease. Furthermore, despite charging $14.95/month for credit reporting, zero payments have been reported after six months. Deposit & Insurance Trap Management pushes a $450 non-refundable ePremium fee. They implied it covered move-out costs--it does not. Management keeps it, and you still pay full move-out charges. Their required insurance heavily protects them, not your belongings. Security & Management Neglect Stolen Packages: Unlocked package room with zero cameras. Residents post weekly about missing deliveries. Ignored Calls: Staff routinely ignore phone calls. I sat in the lobby, called the desk, and watched them let it go straight to voicemail. No Policy Enforcement: Property walks stopped. Patios are now cluttered with household trash, storage tubs, broken furniture, and laundry hanging over railings. Amenity Cuts Since 2025 Coffee bar downgraded to a small machine capped at 10 cups/month (must bring your own cup/condiments). Fitness/yoga classes completely canceled. Cold gym towels and resident events eliminated. Construction Quality Paper-thin insulation. You will hear every step upstairs, conversations in hallways, and noise from neighbors on both sides. Verdict: Mark-Taylor is aggressively cutting costs while squeezing residents with fees. Save yourself the stress and rent elsewhere.

Lived here for 2 almost 3 years, they have a WONDERFUL agent there who helped the entire time i…read morestayed at these apartments, her name is Alicia and highly recommend her if looking to live at apartments. She's more than just an an agent and again just goes above and beyond to help the residents. However, i believe her full power can not be shown due to management, they do help you with promise to pays if not able to pay rent on time, but you can only make 2 payments for that which i think is a bit dramatic considering a person is already struggling paying rent and only giving them 2 days to pay that off. Ashley, one of the managers there, she's okay, could work on her people skills more and everytime i've seen her she seems to always have a RBF which i think isn't a good trait to have especially working in the field she's in where she deals with people on a regular. I thinks it's also ridiculous that they are opened on weekends but there is never any management there that works on the weekend ( they have 2 managers) , which only allows their agents certain access to certain things, they are open during the week but their hours are the hours everyone is usually at work so really the only time i had to go down the the office was on the weekends but my things would prolong more than what they should because management isn't in the weekends so i have to way 2 more days to here back from anyone. They are wonderful if you have your rent on time but will make you feel like the absolute worst when you can't. I hoping they get a new manager, the other manager Ameila is so sweet never had a problem but i think Ashley needs some evaluating. And i am also hoping that atleast one manger can start working on weekends and idk figure it out! Thanks for giving me roof over my head for 2 years tho!

There was one occasion were I walked into the office and asked a question and the staff just looked at me with a blank look on their faces.
