My ex and I lived at Cantala for almost 4 years, and the experience was exhausting. During that time, management changed 17-18 times, which made communication and follow-through extremely difficult. Every time a new team took over, we had to start all over again because the new staff didn't seem to have any record of what the previous team told us. We also dealt with ongoing cockroach issues in multiple units we lived in. Pest control came out many times, but the problem never fully went away based on our experience. It was stressful trying to manage that while also keeping my young son's space as clean and safe as possible. Maintenance did what they could, but some of the bigger issues in our apartment were never fixed while we lived there. For example, after a pipe burst in the unit behind us, our bathroom cabinet was water-damaged for most of our time in that unit. Each management team we spoke to told us it would be addressed after we moved out as part of future renovations. When we moved out, we were charged for several items that we believed were either normal wear and tear or pre-existing conditions. Because the management teams changed so frequently and pre-move-in documentation wasn't consistent, it has been difficult to get clear answers about which charges were actually tenant-related. If you do plan on moving here, my biggest recommendation is to get everything in writing. With constant management turnover, written communication is the only thing that stays consistent. Based on our personal experience, if you're looking for stability, reliable communication, and consistent follow-through, this may not be the right fit. read more

Run! Cockroaches & the worst revolving door management you can find. Moved out two years ago and recently got an email saying my credit score dropped 45 points. Turns out they sent me to collections without notifying me a single time.Didn't want to leave a bad review when we moved out, but now here we are. Tried to get out of lease when we first noticed the roaches but they gave us a new unit instead insisting it would be better. It wasn't. Tried to get out again. They wouldn't let us cut the lease. There are at least two sex offenders living there. Check out the citizen app if you don't believe me. Do not live here. read more

i made a tour appointment for 1:50pm today and the front office people never showed . i arrived at 1:35pm and there was a sign on the door saying "will be back soon-1:45pm" . i waited outside the office until 2pm in 100+ degree heat for no one to show . read more

haven't been here that long so I might change my review down the road. I've experienced no problems here. for The most part it's been very quiet oh wow, you can hear every footsteps upstairs The apartments are very nice, although small. There's no assigned parking, but I haven't had any problem finding a spot. The tenants seem to be decent and haven't run into any trashy ones. I love the package delivery system they have. I think what makes it or breaks it is if you have good tenants next to you and upstairs. if you get an apartment around the perimeter, it's not a long walk to your car, but if you're toward the inside of the complex, be prepared for a long walk to your apartment if you have groceries. The grounds are kept up. One last thing. I noticed a lot of people smoke weed around here. Personally, I don't give a hoot. However, sometimes it is so strong. I have to open my windows. I do not recommend this apartment. Looks good ,but the worst management evver. I wanted to move there next year ,but heck to the no!!! I made an appointment tour, and when I got there, this girl is her name is Marina Banuelos was rude because she thought I just walked in Whenen I told her I made an appointment, she changed her attitude right away. But before alllll this. I called this place like 20 times. NEVER ONCE ANSWERED THE PHONE. Excuse was "very busy" when they are not. So I saw the apartment and it was very nice. But when my tour was done I told her man it's in possible to call you guys. She said I know . SO SHE KNOWS! but they don't do nothing about it. Ridiculous. She said email me that's better . You can reach me there. First of all no personalized email address. Second of all I emailed her about 2 weeks ago and I never got a response. I have red on Google that there rent price goes up every year. So I wanted to talk to her about that. I made a review on Google. And if you see the owner answers to everyone the same thing for the passed years . He or she doesn't do nothing about it. He or she doesn't care. You don't get any help in this place. I will be moving to a place where actually they care for there tenants. DO NOT RENT THERE. READ THE REVIEWS FIRST. CALL THEM AND YOU SEE THERE WILL BE Absolutely NO Communication. SUCKS. read more

Water bills are now $80+ alone at this location, 4th month of $100 water bills and endless emails of them 'looking into it' is ridiculous and doesn't seem legal. Don't know a single person paying that much for water anywhere else. Also expect about $250+ of extra charges outside of rent, usually it's almost $350 over your rent most months now. Not enough that everything around us has inflated %13, now utilities apparently can since they now work through Conservice, a company that has had numerous lawsuits against them in other states for unfair pricing. read more

Alright, now that we've been here two years there are definitely some downsides to the place. New ownership has decided to add a bunch of flashy amenities to the space that are useless. It's clearly another excuse to charge more money for rent even though 90% of the residents here didn't want the new amenities and don't use them. The "upgrades" to the apartment numbers, signage, lighting, and pool look tacky and worse than before. The new management company was so uptight that it pushed out two separate front office teams as well as one of the hardest working maintenance men, yikes. I've had a leak in my ceiling for the past year that hasn't be properly fixed, even with 3 separate work orders. The cost of rent here keeps increasing to match market rate for similar apartments but the complex does nothing to keep with the times. There have been apparent plumbing and sewer issues around the complex, some causing water to leak so long that we were paying nearly $100 for water that month because water usage is divided across the complex and not billed directly... This place is not worth the rent, we're only here out of necessity otherwise we'd be long gone. Go somewhere else! read more

Most of these reviews are because we live with a bunch of Karen's. My wife and i have been here two years now. We speak to everyone with respect and yes, (god forbid) have to call and remind the office staff or maintenance about something every once in a while, but we remind ourselves that we live in a big complex where sometimes there's issues ahead of yours the staff is great, property is clean and nice. 4 stars because we live around shit heads and I'm not a fan of the overnight security driving around with their lights flashing at 2AM, but eh. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would. I lived here for 2 years due to only necessity. They went through 4 sets of office staff in that time and none of them ever communicated anything to anyone or were available for issues or concerns. Work orders never got completed until you complain multiple times. And the company that owns the complex is just as bad if not worse. YOU COULDN'T PAY ME ENOUGH TO EVER LIVE HERE OR IN A WESTERN HEALTH COMMUNITY. On our move in date we went for the keys and they were doing the carpets on day of move in and apartment wasn't cleaned and a lot of stuff were broken or til this day haven't been fixed new staff randomly in office and maintenance. No communication and take weeks to fix anything if lucky or months like I said still have issues. read more

My fiancé and i have been here for almost a year now, and we absolutely LOVE it here! We originally moved into their smaller 1 bd last december and April, Lily and Deon have been AMAZING the whole time! while living here we found out we were expecting a new member of the fam, and April and Lily worked so hard to get us a 2bd in a more secluded / quiet part of the complex. During the move Deon and April did all they could do to make sure the apartment was cleaned, everything had been replaced and were able to move in in a timely manner. Deon even showed up a few days later to check in! we've made some amazing friends here as our neighbors are kind and friendly! the one and only complaint is the parking, i wish it was either more lit up or bigger! being a smaller gal it's alittle dark at night having to park too far, but not a big deal! we both love it here and just signed another 12 mo read more

I've been living here for over 14 years. This is the second time the complex has changed ownership. The new owners have gone with a property management company rather than hire staff directly. I have met the new manager briefly. They hired the assistant manager that was already working here in the same position. I don't know if the same maintenance people are still here. We got a notice of change of ownership/management right away. So far the experience hasn't changed. I'll have to wait and see the rental rates and have something break in my unit to really finish my opinion. read more
