I have had pretty good service and even better now since the old manager has been gone. Any maintenance issues have been promptly tended to and concerns addressed. Other than an "ATTITUDE" form a contractor I have been pleased so far. (That plumbing company no longer services this complex, Odd huh) I did have my bicycle stolen from my porch. But, I should have locked it up better and to something structural for sure. That was NOT the complex's fault either. I gave the complex a "4" just because I knew this was not a top of the line complex nor did I expect it to be. However, I feel safe, secure and comfortable here. And this complex is way better than the average "DUMP" in San Diego for four times the rent! I'd recommend this complex to someone.

The departing staff member came to assist me, but even then I struggled to lock up properly as I was unfamiliar with the door mechanism. To my surprise, I found myself exiting through the pool or fitness area and was unsure of how to leave the premises after 6pm, past closing time. Fortunately, the gate opened and I was able to exit. Personally, based on this experience with the staff, I would not choose to rent here despite the nice housing. I gave a rating of 2 due to the quality of the housing.

Expect $295-$355/month in mandatory fees above base rent ($150 amenity fee, $25 parking, $70-$130 Conservice, $35 insurance, $14.95 credit reporting). That is $5,310-$6,390 extra over an 18-month lease. Furthermore, despite charging $14.95/month for credit reporting, zero payments have been reported after six months. Deposit & Insurance Trap Management pushes a $450 non-refundable ePremium fee. They implied it covered move-out costs--it does not. Management keeps it, and you still pay full move-out charges. Their required insurance heavily protects them, not your belongings. Security & Management Neglect Stolen Packages: Unlocked package room with zero cameras. Residents post weekly about missing deliveries. Ignored Calls: Staff routinely ignore phone calls. I sat in the lobby, called the desk, and watched them let it go straight to voicemail. No Policy Enforcement: Property walks stopped. Patios are now cluttered with household trash, storage tubs, broken furniture, and laundry hanging over railings. Amenity Cuts Since 2025 Coffee bar downgraded to a small machine capped at 10 cups/month (must bring your own cup/condiments). Fitness/yoga classes completely canceled. Cold gym towels and resident events eliminated. Construction Quality Paper-thin insulation. You will hear every step upstairs, conversations in hallways, and noise from neighbors on both sides. Verdict: Mark-Taylor is aggressively cutting costs while squeezing residents with fees. Save yourself the stress and rent elsewhere.

Rent as last resort, these apartments are the worst!!! I…read morelike stability so I don't really enjoy moving. I been living there for 10 years and the manager wouldn't renew my lease. These apartments have a lot to be desired. First off as you open and close the front door to the apartment the door has very little weather stripping. The apartment was very small to say the least. Storage closet was a joke, My stove was a Hotpoint brand that was 46 years old, the refrigerator was a little newer, God only knows how old the dishwasher was. When I first moved in the dishwasher didn't even work and was at least 30 years old. What is worse is they replaced with it with another old one without a silverware basket. I had to complain for two weeks, then they gave finally gave me a basket from the old dishwasher. The toilets are horrible and need attention at least once a day due to a bad design. They either plug up or you have to try to flush them again due to an outdated float assembly to stop water from running. Maintenance is not that great, with the exception of A/C repair, One time a float assembly went bad and was leaking water on to the floor. The repairman came in and changed out the valve and let the excess water just run on the floor!!! Oh, don't let the pictures fool you... The pictures suggest it is a people friendly community, it isn't! There are no places to set and talk in the far back, no tables, no benches, no nothing. I have trouble walking so I would sit on the steps with my dog twice a day. The manager didn't like it all! Very, very immature person. Manager compensates for inequities in the apartment living by having food trucks come in, Somethings I forgot to mention is in the bathroom, you can plainly see the area that water once ran down the wall and they simply painted over it. Also, when it rains the sidewalks going both ways from building 13 flood out with about 5 inches of water! The bottom line is very simple. Property owner and management don't care about the community and are running it in the ground!!!
