They just started locking down every single amenity after 5 PM. No shared space, no watching the game in the movie room, no hosting your family for birthday parties in the beautiful large room. No place to cool off after playing out in the pool in the hot and they close the pool almost every weekend. I hosted a family movie night in the movie room about once a month. We always clean up after ourselves. We are always respectful of the space and we always welcome anybody who walks by and now we are not able to do that. In the almost year, I've lived here those spaces have been available to us, and now there is a new manager, and they are no longer available, literally using a metal chain and a padlock to close the doors.where is the safety? They also blocked one of the exits out of the gym, so now as a woman I have one less exit if someone were to try to attack me while I'm working out, which is unfortunately a common happening in 24 hour private gym spaces. Everywhere on propertyyu is monitored by a camera if the reasoning is disruptive or destructive people in the building, those people should be held accountable individually. Also as of 6/16 there have been zero doggy poop bags in the doggy poop stations. There is now dog poo all over the property. I bring my own bags but not everyone is as prepared, especially seeing as they have always been readily available. What's going on??? read more

Amazing staff and support!! This complex bent over backwards to help move my wife and I in last minute due to a fallout of another complex having cockroaches. With a Uhaul full and needing a place THAT DAY. Eva, working in the front helped in every single way to make sure we were taken care of. One of the many things I appreciate about Casa is their menu because it officers multiple choices. Even during Covid meals offered have been excellent. Meat is real meat, not processed premade meals. During Covid staff has bent over backward to help us with shopping, delivering meals, keeping us safe. Also Mary Ellen has been wonderful with making sure we have puzzles and other activities delivered to our room during times of social distancing. Casa del Rio is a great place for my wife and I to spend the last years of our life. We are both in our mid-80's and still ambulatory. The staff is great, in fact, we would like to praise four of them. There are many others on staff that deserve praise, but these four are the ones that come to my mind the fastest: Sylvia has been here almost 30 years and works in the dining room and kitchen, and when I say works I mean WORKS! She is tireless yet she greets everyone by name and with a smile. During some tough times at Casa she worked double shifts for several weeks. She is a great employee and an invaluable asset to the building. Taunya has worked at Casa for nearly 30 years aw well after a brief absence for another position then came back. She has headed up the servers in the dining room, worked in the kitchen and even the bar on special days. But what makes her special is her smile. She smiles all the time and everyone loves her just for that in a place where gloom can easily take over. We need more happy smilers like her! The other two work the front desk during the week. Dina and Judy are truly marvelous. They try to answer all questions from the many residents. If they don't know the answer they will find out. They keep the schedules of appointments, trips and other things running smoothly. Yes! We have been living at Casa Del Rio Senior Living in Peoria AZ 5 months. We love the staff and the residents. My husbands was celebrating his 80th birthday and we decided to hold it in the Canteen. From the time I booked the party, setting down with our Chef it was amazing. He suggested menu item and help us set up the tables and chairs to allow flow for food and room for guest to mingle. The day of the party everything was amazing. The food was delicious and was presented beautifully. The dining staff kept all the food full so it was warm and yummy. We had forty guest from out town guest and everyone had a GREAT time. Thank you to everyone at Casa that made his 80th party wonderful. read more

Place is sketch. The elevator broke down on the 2 most important holidays of the year. Thanksgiving & Christmas there were residents on both holidays who rely on the elevator to get down because of medical issues. They say they were " having a repair guy come out and fixing the problem" but that's complete bullshit. That's 2 holidays that this place has stolen from these people. This next sentence is to Casa del rio management . Casa del rio management staff the fact that this broke down on 2 major holidays is not okay some of these folks don't have much time left who knows this could have been the last holidays for some people to see their family but due to your Negligence and irresponsible management staff you basically took that away from your residents who had to stay there and not see their family on these holidays. I would say if it just broke down on just 1 holiday sure okay get it fixed no problem but 2 major holidays ? Come on now that's not a coincidence. Like the review I saw above mine I will also be contacting the news. Do not spew some bullshit at me that everyone is happy there and that these problems rarely happen because i know for a damn fact that your residents are unhappy with your management team and staff. there HAS been break in's. You guys did not call the police or install cameras in your hallways I know I have brought this up with you guys before in the past. This shit continues to happen. So I hope you can handle the news showing up looks like I'm not the only one who is fed up with the way you guys treat your residents. The entire staff here couldn't be NICER. Super helpful and caring. From the front desk, to management, maintenance, activities, transportation and dining- everyone makes my parents know this is their home. And they are special. The other people living here are also very friendly. Shout out to the "Pink Ladies" with All Care Sevices for their outstanding assistance and love. We also enjoy the great, affordable services in the Salon. This is a wonderful and beautiful retirement living facility. There's always something to do here, you would never be bored. We have been living at Casa Del Rio for almost a year and unfortunately we are moving due to the food, mostly uneatable or by the time we eat at 5.30 they have run out of the special for the day and we are sick of the alternative menu, that sounds good until you are given it to eat then it is a disappointment.There is no chef there now either. Our servers are really good and we have made a lot of friends here but all complaints are met with : we will be looking into it, but nothing gets done. I would look elsewhere if I were you read more

My mother has lived at the Casa Del Rio for the last couple of years. Wonderful independent living facility with everything you could need: nice apartments, workout room, pool, dining room with options, small movie theatre, and lots of activities. It's actually pretty hip too. Best of all, the staff is very caring and helpful. They recently underwent a renovation -- while not fun during the process -- has yielded some very nice upgrades and results. My sister and I are very discerning and have found this to be such a lovely transition for our mother. You can feel safe and comfortable with this facility for your loved one. We toured many similar facilities in the Sun City and Peoria area before deciding upon the Casa Del Rio. We knew immediately when we stepped in because of the overall feeling of the place, the accommodations and staff. My mother really enjoys it - and we always say we wouldn't mind moving in when we are older! read more
