Please, for your own emotional well-being, don't go there. It ruined my night for sure…read more What a waste of a beautiful place and what a tarnish for the great city of Siena, and what an insult to Italian foods. The price was almost twice as much as the average restaurants which was not unexpected but the food is garbage. The pasta was tasteless and pizza was worse than a Canadian chain pizza store. The spritz is a pretty much a full glass of ice cubes. This business has no respect to the city, to its customers, and to Italian cuisine. I have no problem with the waiting staff, I actually feel sorry for them because they won't get much tips (I didn't tip), it has to be the owner who has no honor.

Wish I could give less stars. I have never been treated this poorly in any establishment in my…read morelife. My wife and I wanted to have a drink in the square after having some pizza down the street. It was clear from the beginning that the person who greeted us, who I thought was the manager (shaved head, neck tattoos, dressed nicely) did not want us there. We asked if it was ok to just have drinks and he made a face and sat us. He then started joking about us having pizza and asked if we needed plates. Our table and surrounding area was FILTHY. He kept passing by us and sneering. I eventually asked if we had offended him or something and he laughed and said absolutely not. He had other servers take our order( they were very nice and helpful btw) and we finally got our drinks. Immediately our bill was dropped. I asked why and another sever told me that we had to pay immediately. I scoffed and he (not the jerk) eventually said it was ok to pay at the end. Our new server dropped off 3 bowls of chips, nuts etc which we did not touch at all. The jerk (as we will refer to him now) had the nerve to literally put 3 more bowls of snacks on our table and say here you go. This really pissed us off because we now had no room on our tiny, already filthy table. I had had enough and went inside to talk to ask if the owner was around. I talked to the manager and told him about our experience. To his credit he handled the situation well and apologized profusely, even offering to take care of our bill. I told him that was not the point and I wanted to speak to the jerk with the manager present. We got nowhere as he continued to flash his shit-eating grin at us and tell us he gave us the same service as everyone else. Absolute joke. Do not waste your money here.

So when we…read morewent to Florence, I checked out all the notable beer places on google and Alibi was the first one we went to (it's closest to the train station.) Well, they really set my expectations high for the rest of my list. Between us, we had about six different types of beer, each more delicious than the last. And we ordered food as well - her burrito was fine, if unexciting, but my cheeseburger with an egg on it was honestly the best burger I've had in a long time. The Italian cheese on it was phenomenal. We had to go back before we left cause it was just so good. The bartenders were friendly and helpful, and the bar itself was kinda cool and industrial, but you're going here for the beer and the food. You won't be disappointed.

Although there's nothing particularly 'Italian' about this bar - it has that BrewDog vibe which could have been plopped down from anywhere on the globe - it's a great, casual place to pop in for a pint. Although we didn't try the food, we did indulge in a few rounds. The beer is always fun and intriguing, as expected from the brewery. A worthy way to kick up your feet and while away some time.
