Super tender meat on a rich (yet surprisingly light) red wine sauce with veggies that were broken down into the sauce!! I found this spot on Yelp, and I'm happy to say that it definitely did not disappoint!

The board itself is gorgeous, a real feast for the eyes. I think it looked better than it tasted, which is why I'm only giving this place 3 stars. Size-wise, it's just right. I believe we got a medium board, and it was the perfect amount of food for two hungry people. The price was reasonable, and the restaurant itself is very eclectic. It looks like a narrow deli/bar at the front (which is where you order), but if you go all the way to the back of the restaurant, it feels like you're in an old Victorian house, and there is a nice view from the window. We enjoyed relaxing here and chatting over our tagliere even if it didn't wow us.

However, it's not a big place and especially if you want to sit outside which you should, try to make a reservation. We had the beef tartare with almonds and truffle. Amazing. And the cheeses were so yummy also. Our main course was beef and the wild boar stew (which was delicious). The tiramisu and the chocolate cake were also great. And for red wine? I included a picture of our choice. For €35 it's highly recommended.

The potatoes fried with olive oil and Rosemary are so good! You will use your bread to soak up every drop of olive oil you could find on that plate! The service was exceptional! Here in Italy people do not tip their waiters, I wouldn't feel right not tipping these waiters! I felt like I was in someone's home. I was treated like family, and LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF MY EXPERIENCE!!!!

I was lucky enough to sit with Antonio who walked me through the details of 5 tastings, educating me on the differences in Tuscan wines. The wine selection was amazing, the education took less than 10 minutes & the introduction to Brunello wines was such a pleasure. Antonio exhibits his passion for wine as he pours each tasting & I'm truly happy to have had the opportunity. Highly recommend for anyone in search of a wine tasting or wine bar!

I've heard that most of the customers tend to be locals, although they were mostly tourists (and mostly American) when I visited. The pastas looked very good and if I were to go again, I would get the ravioli or the fettuccine. My friend and I both got the veal (9.50euro), which was more like a stew. A lot of meat, although I'm not a huge meat eater. My friend eats a lot of meat though and he said it was alright. We probably wouldn't get this again and would've preferred something else had we known. Some of the slices were just far too fatty for my taste. But it was soft meat that was easily chewed and the stew sauce was good with the bread. Would have also liked fresher bread. It was crisp and hard, especially considering they charge a 1 euro cover for the bread. Overall, not a bad place. And a good break from all the pasta/pizza we've been having. But it wasn't anything special from what we had. Great prices though, only 23 euro for everything, including the wine which was very good and 4.50 euro for 1/2 liter.

10/28/2013 Our…read more"chief experience officer" aka tour guide took us to this wine tasting cellar (or Enoteca = wine shop) for some local Siena wine-tasting. Because we were in the Tuscany region, it was all about "Chianti wines" - and we got to experience this during our tour. Enoteca Italiana is an institution in Siena - from the outside, it looks like a fortress, and inside -- there are various rooms of wines on display (show rooms) downstairs. We were amazed and fascinated by the stories told by our 'wine guide" as he took us through the downstairs cellar. At the end of our wine tour, we were provided with 3 glasses of fine wine to taste and a plate of cheeses/meats to share. It was divine! :) Everyone in our large group was having a splendid time. The service was fantastic, friendly, and accommodating. I'd recommend this place as a must-stop if you are looking for Chianti wine-tasting in the Tuscany region!
