Finally. In the international craft beer sphere, BrewDog is towards the top of the list. This band of gypsies has a rich history that I'd encourage anyone remotely interested in craft beer to read more about. As [possibly] the fastest growing brewery of all-time, these dudes are the punks of wort, mash and hops. Their business model redefines how a 21st century company can be run. After 10 years in business, they changed the craft beer scene for the better, including 46 bars around the world, tens of thousands of shareholders, while proudly holding the title of the strongest and most expensive beer ever produced! Mind you, as a punk bar in Florence, this place sticks out like a sore thumb. In a good way. Compared to the surrounding romanticism and classicism, it was a joy to find an underground dive where all judgments are left at the door. I asked the bartender for his current favorite IPA and he actually recommended a collaboration beer, which isn't even brewed by BrewDog. But let me tell you, it was hands down one of the best beers I've ever had. It's called Amundsen Hop Magic and it's brewed in Oslo. This NE-IPA was fruity, hoppy, and had a bitter finish. Unbelievable! Now everyone raves about the wine in Italy, but to be honest that's not really my scene. My girlfriend let me geek out for the time being and I couldn't have been more grateful for just spending an hour here.

So exciting to find a Brewdog branch in Florence! We are from Columbus so are used to the one at home. We stumbled on the Florence one by accident. Great vibe, super fun artwork, and delicious beer. We tried two new brews Cloudwater and Zombie Cake. Fans of both

Brewdog happens to be one of my buddie's favorites so he was a bit excited to find out the first location in Italy was in Florence! Was it fate? Perhaps a testament to the potency of their brews was that I forgot just about all the names of the beers I had that night. Ok, so what do I remember? -A number of the beers on tap are brewed locally, with some collaboration beers with other breweries from other countries. -I liked all the beers I had, the only thing that made me sad is that you don't get a full pint with the beers that have a high alcohol content. -Somehow this Brewdog is a nexus for English speaking beer lovers. I could overhear many North American accents, we're worldwide! -English speaking bartenders will assist you with choosing something that fits your tastes, and may drop some knowledge in the process. -There is a downstairs area as well, that could be a cool hang out spot.

While checking out the bar scene in Florence, we noticed a very familiar name on the map. BREWDOG! The first bar that I went to in Edinburgh was called BrewDog and seeing this name brought all of those memories flooding back. We wandered over one evening in November. The small winding streets lead us to BrewDog. The bar is very different from many of the bars you will find in the city. It is clearly a bar, a few tables and chairs with a bar lined with tap handles. It is dark and cozy, especially for a November evening when the sun goes down before 5pm. It was early when we first arrived so there were not many people. We grabbed an order of fries which were delicious. Perfectly crispy and, due to how they were cut, in fun curled shapes. The bartender was very pleasant and helped us pick our first beers. A large amount of their beer is from the original pub so there were some familiar faces there. By the time we were heading out for dinner, the place was starting to fill up and the second bartender had just shown up. I really enjoyed my few beers pre-dinner but it was time to head out for another fabulous dinner in Florence.

The craft beer scene is still relatively young in Italy and Florence is no exception. This place is a beer haven in the middle of the city. They have pretty solid craft beers brewed by themselves as well as a few from local breweries. Didn't try the food, but that's not really the reason you're here. If you need a break from all the Italian wine, this place is it.

Love love love this place. Awesome beers, awesome staff and they play awesome music. Woot woot Chicago Blackhawks theme song. Loved the selection of Italian beers. The bartender definitely hit the nail on the head with his recommendations. They know their beers for sure. Really like that they had US beers like Elvis Juice on tap (one of my favs!!). If you are in Florence or Rome check this place out.

My first craft beer while in Europe. It was jus what I needed. Brewdog is surrounded by many restaurants and it's not far from the Duomo. There's plenty of seating and they also serve some really tasty food as well. The selection of beer will satisfy all beer lovers and the prices aren't that bad either. They do have happy hour as well. Cheers

going on day 9 of being in Italy , we required a much needed break from pasta and pizza. This place was about a block from our hotel. They have bar seating up stairs with a few tables and then something they call the Bunker downstairs with bigger tables and games. The burgers were so good we went back the next night. Also was able to find a beer similar to what I drink in the states which was their Gold on draft.

One of our favorite places we visited during our two week journey through Italy. Out of all the beer bars we tried, BrewDog had the best selection of beers (while others like Baladin seemed to disappoint). Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and okay snacks. Prices weren't overly expensive, and didn't get top crowded on a Saturday night. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get their craft beer fix in Italy. Location: Great as well, right by the trendy Central Market. Felt very safe. Good: Just okay. But a great change of pace from eating padta and pizza everyday. Large portions for low prices.

Friendly local casual and excellent selection of craft beer, light to dark, even cider.

Not too shabby taproom in the heart of Florence. Great selections of tapped beer and so is the atmosphere.

Good beers and surprisingly good burgers. It's nice for when you just want to get a beer without all the fuss of being seated.

This is a great place to have a few beers. The bartender…read morespoke English and was very patient. They carry several of their own beers which are solid and a must try, as well as guest beers. 16 in total including a beer engine which you don't see everywhere. They also offer a flight of 4 beers, but it is not posted. It was a narrow bar that went deeper and dark, just what I like in a bar. I walked in at 6 as well as a dad with 2 toddlers, in need of a beer No one even turned an eye, in fact they seemed to like the kids there. They open everyday at 6pm

After a long day of museums and pizza at Gustapizza (which I will post about separately!) we made a stop for a couple of beers from a craft brewery in Florence. Located in a city surrounded by wine makers, Archea Brewery is knocking it out of the park. They are an independent craft brew pub founded in 2012. They have a combination of house made beers and other artisanal beers focused on Italian producers, but do have others from across the region. We had two of their beers, which were extremely flavorful, and two beers from other craft breweries. Beers: Archea Melissa | Honey Ale Archea Salniette | Blanche Con Salvia Cantina Errante Saison Du Coupage 2021 | Lambic Blend / Saison Barrel Aged BFM 225 Saison | Sour Saison Oak Aged We loved both their own beers and the other local breweries with Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes (BFM) being a small, artisanal brewery in Saignelégier, Jura, Switzerland winning global acclaim with their unique offerings, and Cantina Errante located in Florence, Italy focused on exploring their surroundings through their beers. Highly recommend a stop here if in Florence and needing a craft brew!
