We got the old fashioned and a cocktail that was a mix between a Manhattan and a Sazerac. Both were delicious. And well-priced at 15 euro each. The decor was super cool! My favorite was the wall of old Campari ads. Will definitely be back!

No. This place is terrible. Do not come here. Ever. Do not…read morecome to a bar that makes incredibly creative cocktails of only Italian ingredients. Do not come to a place that oozes hipster so bad you can't see over its pelvis. Do not sit here, eat outstanding spiced olives, and drink drinks you'll never have the like again. Because if you do that then I won't be able to find a seat here again, and this was a highlight of my trip to Florence. Super creative, love the theme, loved the drinks (sheeps milk nitro foam????), would come here any chance I get.

The cocktail list is 100% Italian. I got a nonalcoholic drink and it was great they had those options as well! Highly recommend if you're into cocktails, design, or just want a break from the more touristy spots. Will 100% go back next time I'm in town.

I hate a QR code menu, but I'll make an exception for Locale. Because Locale is the best. Don't…read morebelieve me? Reasons Why Locale Is The Best: 1. It's ranked #22 on the World's Best Bars list, so it's not just me telling you this. Well, I suppose it's only the 22nd best, but out of the world? That's still the best in my book. 2. They brought us free drinks with our drinks. There was a little starter Americano right when we sat down, and then a little goodbye shot when we left. I like free drinks. (The actual drinks will run you 20 euro apiece, which is pricey for Florence, but not the most expensive we encountered...and basically average for NYC.) 3. They brought us free snacks with our drinks. Little pickled veggies, and some delightfully spiced nuts. Deez nuts are quite tasty. 4. The service is so eager to please (see all the aforementioned lagniappe). They filled my water up 37 times and I was only there for 45 minutes. They cobbled together seating for our 8-person party in about 5 minutes, despite being busy. And everyone was exceptionally nice, with the slight exception of the stunning hostess, who I don't think has the ability to smile. 5. The space is bright and airy, with living walls and a retractable roof that brings in fresh air when the weather is nice, and closes up when it gets too cool in the evening. 6. I mentioned the menu, and how I generally despise a QR code...but theirs is hilarious, and thoughtful, and entertaining. The cocktails, in addition to being interesting and well-balanced and delicious, are all accompanied by a hand gesture, as Italians are wont to make. 7. The bartender is doing the most. Stirring many cocktails at once, throwing that bloody mary concoction back and forth in his shaker...I'm not sure if it does anything, but it was amongst the best bloodies I've ever had. So kudos to him. 8. Everything here is done with intention. The coasters, the business cards (that have the QR codes), the snacks, the cocktails. And everything is better when it's done with intention. Eight is enough, or so sitcom titles would have me believe.

A taste of the states in Florence, Italy…read more Believe it or not, when you're traveling in Italy for 12 days and pretty much only drinking prosecco and aperol spritz's this was a WELCOME change of pace. P.S. if you didn't know, cocktail culture in Italy is not a thing. This was one of the ONLY cocktail bars we stumbled upon during our trip and the atmosphere brought us in from the street. The atmosphere is hipster, retro, memorable and fun! The cocktail list is TO DIE FOR. The owner who was serving us, spent two years in the states mastering the art to bring it back. The list was super creative and well balanced for the season and heat. I opted for a cocktail with fresh squeed Grapefruit, Gin, fresh JUNIPER BERRIES, rosemary and elderflower tonic. It was served in a giant wine glass with ice and they give you the tonic on the side so you can make it as strong as you want. I thought this presentation was lovely, whimsical and fun. The cocktail was one of the best I've ever had and that is saying A LOT. Since I've been back I cannot stop thinking about it. For my second I got a blackberry, sage drink. It was good, but not nearly as memorable as the first. The hubs got an aperol spritz again, and to finish we got some sparkling rose - perfect for a hot night. We just did not want to leave this place! The service, the quality, the atmosphere. This place is killer!
