I submitted a claim, as we were NOT prepared and lost a lot of groceries as well as breast milk. The claims representative called and said the claim was denied, and that a notice was sent out. She rudely hung up on me when I asked for the timestamp of the email and phone call sent out (knowing that it was not). I called the emergency line to be transferred to non emergency, as you do not get a live agent when you call the 1-800-611-7343. The service rep confirmed that no notifications were sent out to my home, and that I had only 1 of the following options: 1. Accept a $100 credit on my account, and do not pursue the claim. 2. Do not accept the $100 credit, and pursue the claim. *for those that need to contact the claims department, there is no option, nor is there a way to get there from the automated menu. If you are reading this review, for the claims department, call 858-650-4100* I chose the latter, and was transferred to the claims department. Immediately met with a voicemail greeting (no option for live person). I left a voicemail, and am awaiting follow up. After throwing away closer to $1000 worth of groceries (freezer in garage and fridge/freezer in home), this is one of the most frustrating things I have ever dealt with regarding a company.

I love my City of Escondido, it's lakes, parks, restaurants, multicultural events, parade, car shows, industrial park and shopping. ESCONDIDO has given me so much. Today Tuesday 7am, I was invited to a Chamber breakfast meeting by USA Multicultural Entertainment Group(Angel Aguilar) and it was awesome. I was immediately introduced to several members on my first visit and was made to feel a part of the group even though I was just a guest. I joined that night and only continue to be more impressed with each event. The events are fun and always seem to end with a new lead for business in one way or another. The chamber has also referred business to me. There's a feel of camaraderie and family right from the first visit I haven't felt from other chambers. My time is very limited running a business and raising a four year old but the time I spend with the chamber always pays off.

It was absolutely appalling. While the event was presented under the premise of supporting domestic violence victims and families in crisis, I left feeling deeply concerned. One Safe Place markets itself as a haven for DV survivors seeking protection, support, and healing. However, inviting Mitra Sarkhosh to speak raises serious ethical questions. While she presents herself as an experienced and compassionate therapist, many protective parents are aware of her controversial reputation. Families struggling through the complexities of family court--particularly those who are vulnerable and without means--have voiced concerns for years about the role some professionals play in perpetuating trauma rather than alleviating it. In my opinion, today's presentation was not only misleading but potentially harmful. A so-called sales pitch to profit off of these helpless families in order to profit off these family courts cases. It painted an overly simplified picture of high-conflict custody cases and the role of therapeutic intervention, while ignoring the realities many families face--particularly those navigating abuse, coercion, and systemic bias within family court. I urge One Safe Place to re-evaluate who they give a platform to. Survivors deserve access to ethical, balanced, and trauma-informed guidance--not content that may further confuse or retraumatize those already in crisis. To truly serve your mission, please exercise greater discernment and ensure the professionals you invite reflect the values of integrity, transparency, and advocacy for the vulnerable. Shame on you One Safe Place for allowing harmful therapists a platform that give misleading information to those who are seeking help. Do better and stop taking advantage of these families who truly need your help.

But, it seems as if the kiosk is down more than it's up. I came in one day when the internet was down. Instead of signs and/or announcements indicating they could not do anything but sell you stamps, take prepaid packages and mail, they allowed people to stand in a long line, only to get up to the front and stare at you without saying anything for an awkward moment. Then TRENT told me with a snippy voice, "our internet is down. You have to go somewhere else." I didn't say anything this day. Then today I come in. Ugh, TRENT is there again. Darn the kiosk is down AGAIN! Luckily only one person in line ahead of me. That person only spoke Spanish and Trent spoke only a tad. After a few minutes, they ended up understanding what each other wanted. I am up next. I did notice a lady over at the small round table to the left and not part of the line you stand in to get service. She's taking items from a bag and putting them in a mailer. She finishes right around the time TRENT finishes with the male customer. After he walks away, Trent says "Who's next?" I said I was and walked up. Once again he just stares at me for an awkward moment and says, "Your next?" I said, "Yes, she was over there packing up her stuff the whole time I have been standing in line." He says, "She's next. If I call you and tell you, you are next, then you are next." Funny, he didn't tell the guy who had just been arrested in the line ahead of me he was next. He just walked up. I step back and get in line and the girl all smug walks up. I say out loud (only the three of us are there at this time). "OK, remind me to come to the post office next time and pack all my stuff and then just come to the front of the line." TRENT then says, "Well if you don't like it, you should go to another post office." I said, "I should have, as every time I come here and you are here..you have been rude (not just to me either). So, when it's my turn once again, I ask for his supervisors name. Then I ask if he's there and he tells me he's on vacation. So I ask for his number to contact him later. He leaves and comes back with a phone number, for Randi. I leave and try calling it and it's busy, stays busy for sometime before I think, did he give me a bogus number or take the phone off the hook so I couldn't leave a message? Moral of the story, if you walk in this unreliable post office and see TRENT. Go to another nearby location.

The library itself is very organized and has a calm, enjoyable atmosphere that makes it a nice place to spend time. Signing up for a library card was quick and easy, and the staff were very helpful & kind throughout the process. There's also a section specifically for kids located on the left side, which makes it a great space for families as well! It's easy to see how this library serves as an important and welcoming space for the whole community! Overall it was a really welcoming and engaging library, and I'm glad I was able to check it out!

The books are nicely laid out, there are numerous fun toys the kids can play with, and customer service is great. A small overview: 1) You cannot search for a book in the library using a computer like the "old days". You have to use your phone or ask a librarian. 2) There are free learning tablets that can be checked out, but are only able to be used while in the library. I believe they are geared towards children from 3-7, but you can double check. 3) There is only one floor, but it is still enough space to enjoy. 4) There are free phone chargers you can use near the kids toy/play area. 5) You get 3 weeks of borrowing and can extend it by another 3 weeks. As the due date was approaching for books we checked out in November, I received a text that the due date was automatically extended. I love coming here with my child and then strolling around the mall afterward, grabbing something to eat or checking out the shops. I'm happy they added this place to the mall.
