I purchased my first Ragdoll kitten 2 yrs ago from a breeder in LA county. Just love this breed,…read morebut did not want to buy from that breeder again because she kept lots of cats and kittens in a cramp backyard patio (cats were not raised inside the home), did not properly name her cats (based on the catteries where the cats were bred), did not spay or neuter kittens before they were sold, and charged much extra fees for TICA registration. After pandemic, that breeder raised her prices a lot as well. I researched online nearly a year to find a Ragdoll kitten in southern CA, blue lynx bicolor specifically, from a reputable breeder at a reasonable price. I noticed that blue lynx bicolor is more rare than seal lynx bicolor. Across LA County, Orange County, Riverside County, and SD County, Creekcat is the only cattery that met all of my criteria, and their blue lynx kittens are amazingly beautiful. I only wish I found Creekcat two years sooner! Creekcat has kings and queens in rare colors and patterns. In fact, I think Leo (Love Again) is one of the most handsome blue lynx bicolor king in the US. Roxann is a caring, responsible, and knowledgeable breeder. She raises her cats and kittens with lots of care. Her kittens are precious to her, so she tries to find loving pet owners for them. (She does not sell kittens to brokers, int'l shipper, or resellers. She wants to get to know the pet owners before the sale.) As a Ragdoll owner, I absolutely agree and respect Roxann's guidelines and preferences (e.g. no declawing, etc), and I understand the good intentions behind them. Our 3-month old blue lynx bicolor girl kitten from Creekcat was shy and hiding the first couple days when she came to our home. But she ate well (both dry and wet food) and knew how to use a litter box since day 1. Starting on day 3, the kitten began to explore her room, play toys, purr very often, and greeted every person that came to meet her. Her deep blue eyes are magical. She has been a tremendous joy and blessing to our family. Compared to our other Ragdoll girl cat (when she was a kitten), Creekcat's kitten eats better, is a bit more playful, outgoing, and friendlier to visitors. I hope Roxann will never retire and continue to breed beautiful lynx Ragdoll kittens. Her cats and kittens are truly stunning and very special. I highly recommend this cattery.

I decided to place a deposit on 2 future kittens. My wait time was exactly 8 months to get 2 of his kittens. And trust me, it's so worth the wait. (Usually we go on trips in pairs or with friends; there's always been one of our brood who stays behind to take care of our cat, so this was the first time in our 8yo cat's life that he was A) not at home with any of us, & B) with other cats, 24/7, and believe me he does Not like other cats, as a rule!) Since our cat is allowed to go outdoors during the day at home, as he seriously enjoys being outdoors, and it enables him to fulfill more fully his kitty-cat potential in life, we were extremely pleased to see that Cat-Villa has an outdoor "Cat-io" (like "Patio"!). It's a patio thats been enclosed with very professionally done framing and screening, so it gives the cats who are accustomed to SoCal's beautiful fresh air the opportunity to continue with that aspect of life while staying at Cat-Villa! We received photos of our cat and texts w/ updates from Lance a couple times while away, which was really, really nice and reduced our worries a lot. To our incredible surprise, our cat actually got along with the other cats who were staying at Cat-Villa with him! It was hilarious! When we went to pick him up after getting back from our trip, our cat was lounging on the highest perch in the room, large enough to fit many other cats too. There were several cats around him, lounging, walking around, doing their "cat thing", and our cat just looked at us and didn't move a muscle lol! We had to go and reach up and drag him away from Cat-Villa, which says it all!! They do require up-to-date vaccinations, and a vax our cat had never had before. So we took care of that in one quick vet visit in order to make our reservation at Cat-Villa. There were only about 4 or 5 other cats at Cat-Villa the day we dropped him off, then quadruple that amount when we picked him up! Cat-Villa is a gorgeous place that's been totally built to house cats, I didn't want to leave and it inspired us to consider converting part of our patio to a "Cat-io" one day too! There are large branches of an actual tree that have been incorporated into the space, so cats who climb or scratch a lot have access to continue that behavior while at Cat-Villa. Animal Planet needs to do a show about Beautiful places to board pets, and film a segment at Cat-Villa! A remarkable, beautiful place with a lovely man taking care of the cats (& a lovely wife who helps out too). We couldn't recommend Cat-Villa highly enough!! Thanks to the owners of Cat-Villa for taking care of our cat too!!!

My cats have never experienced any symptoms of feline herpes at any other boarding facility. This was the first time one of my cats had positive symptoms and it led to $500+ in vet bills for testing and treatment. There was no communication about my cat's clearly visible symptoms prior to the pickup day and it looked like he had been suffering for a few days by then. Throughout their stay, I would ask for updates and photos of the two cats. I only received photos of one of the cats. Despite Lance telling me he would send photos of the second cat, I never received them except for two photos on the first day. On the first day, that second cat was going out of the cubby and exploring. Upon arrival at the Cat Villa, I found the second cat holed up in the corner of their shared cubby. This leads me to believe that something had happened to my second cat that made him too scared to leave the cubby hole because the litter box that was originally in there was moved outside. In addition, when I picked up my cats, they were meowing nonstop and it sounded like they smoked a pack of cigarettes every day. Their voices were so worn out and didn't return to normal until a week after. It leads me to believe that my cats were probably constantly meowing out of stress and lack of care. Safe to say, I will never return to this business because I entered with two completely healthy cats and left with one very sick cat and one incredibly anxious one.

She guided us through every step of the process with patience and compassion. She helped us understand why certain behaviors were happening, what each cat needed to feel safe and confident, and what a realistic picture of multi-cat harmony looks like. Even though all of our cats were wonderful individually, it became clear that the dynamic just wasn't working for the group. We ultimately made the difficult decision to re-home our younger cat. It was emotional, but Britta's insight and encouragement helped us feel confident we were doing what was best for all of them. And she was right--he's now thriving in his new home with a new family, and after just a month he's already doing great. Our older cats are happier too, and the stress in our home has finally lifted. We are so grateful for Britta's expertise and kindness during such a tough situation. She not only helped our cats--she helped us understand them better. If you're struggling with cat behavior, transitions, or multi-cat dynamics, I cannot recommend Britta enough. She truly made all the difference.
