We stopped here on Sunday for dinner. We asked to be seated at the patio so we could watch our car that had our dog inside. They do not allow pets at the patio outside. The outside patio is fenced in with a tall wrought iron fence that is locked. Felt a little like a jail. We ordered a chicken chimichanga and a chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla is served with the meat and cheese in a flour tortilla and no tomato or lettuce. It also comes with rice and refried beans-sort of.... I swear to God there wasn't a single bean in the sauce. I searched. Nope. Just sauce. No beans. There was minimal chicken and cheese inside the quesadilla. Disappointing. Same thing with my spouse's retried beans with his chimichanga. No beans in the retried beans. None. After I pointed out my plate had no beans, he looked too... The service was good which is the only reason it earned 3stars instead of 1, but overall, we were not impressed with the food. 10/19/2019 update: met friends here for dinner. Came here with some friends about 1:00 on a Sunday afternoon. They were somewhat crowded, however we were able to be seated immediately. As with most of the Mexican restaurants in the area they were quick with drink orders and had chips and salsa out at the table before the drinks. Menu is full of the normal things your would expect. When they came out they were spot on with one order. Two Shrimp Tacos with Rice and Beans. My other friend didn't get the sour cream and had to request it for a second time. My order was placed for two tacos (one steak and one shrimp) and all rice/no beans. The order came out and had rice and beans. Everyone waited for my food to get fixed up and returned. They were nice and got it handled, but there really wasn't anything special about the taste of the food. Both the shrimp and steak taco were prepped with the same toppings. Typically there is some kind of difference between a beef/chicken based taco and seafood tacos. Usually the seafood is going to have a slaw type topping with a different flavored salsa, but not these. The staff was friendly, but could stand to be a little more attentive once the meal has been delivered to the table. Prices seem reasonable/comparable to other Mexican restaurant lunch specials. Cheese dip was the traditional cheese dip you get at Mexican restaurants. I guess it was the best part of my meal..? I ordered the fajita taco steak, no seasoning no flavor on any of it. This is probably one of my favorite restaurants. I love the food here and I especially love the queso. The service can be a little slow sometimes but most of the wait staff still make up for that. The chimichanga with shredded beef is my go to staple, can't really go wrong there. The steaks they serve are better than most of the steaks at a steakhouse. Every thing is bland, the rice is just white rice- well more of a paleish brown- the chips always taste burnt . My cat could make better salsa.
