The service was outstanding and the place was bright inside; a good look. The drinks are strong, so I was one and done. The food was hot and enjoyable. This will be a summer spot for sure. The opening for the patio. Nice!!

Met a friend here for dinner. They live nearby and had been eagerly awaiting for them to finally open. Knew we were in trouble when the bland salsa was served. The main dishes saving grace was the cheese sauce. The cheese was about the only thing prepared with flavor. Even the side of rice was devoid of the typical seasoning one would expect. The service was rushed even though the restaurant was less than half full. The decor is pleasing to the eye. Be mindful that some seating options can be a bit difficult to maneuver.

The ambiance is excellent. It's very well lit and bright, and as soon as you walk in, you'll notice the warm smiles from the staff. The hostess promptly seats you, and here come the yummy stuff chips and salsa. Then, someone comes to take drink orders. Service was very fast and everyone did a great job working together. This is definitely a place you must visit in the Irondale area.

My date and I decided to try this fairly new restaurant in our area. Upon arrival, we were seated promptly, and asked our drink selection. Complimentary chips and salsa came out shortly. The salsa had alot of kick to it! I was super impressed with the brightness and elegance of the decor. Our servers were very attentive and friendly. I ordered the chicken quesadilla. My date ordered the flaming cheese with steak. He remarked that the portions were small compared to other restaurants where he orders the same dish. My quesadilla was....just ok. The veggies were very fresh but a bit undercooked. The chicken lacked flavor. If I must say something...the dish lacked authenticity. It almost reminded me of something I would get at a Tex-Mex kinda place, not a real Mexican restaurant, which was disappointing. The flavors I'm used to just weren't there. My date enjoyed his meal overall but to be honest, this is the only dish he ever orders so he doesn't really have much to compare, lol. I may revisit again in the future to try another dish. But definitely try them for yourself. They are a great addition to the Irondale community.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. The staff was friendly but unfortunately the food was just ok. I ordered two birria tacos as you could see in the picture unfortunately they were not good.

Good food @ affordable price + the quality AND quantities which are placed in front of you while dining in this remote area strip mall are off da chain!!! I would let my dog or cat eat off the floor it's so clean.

    Chicken Soup .

The new El Patron in Irondale didn't disappoint. I stopped in for a quick and smallish late lunch . Decided the Chicken Soup would/ should be perfect . Guess I was wrong , a least for the small part . The bowl was huge , the soup had lots of fresh veggies and plenty of chicken . It was well seasoned and very tasty . They did a great job building out the space . I sat in the bar area at a high top . Chairs were cozy . Will definitely add this to the rotation .

I ordered the Steak Fajita Burrito, which included a special gravy and cheese on top of an excellent fajita paired with tasty rice and refried beans. Words are not sufficient enough to describe how my tastebuds were taken on a rollercoaster ride of flavor. My peer ordered the Hawaiian Fajita which was cooked and served and a real pine apple. I was told that the flavor over delivered. I could not recommend this enough.

When we got seated outside by the friendly staff, we were given menus and free chips and salsa. As I nibbled on the chips and salsa which were just okay I browsed the drink menu. There's a full bar here and plenty of options. Over the course of the afternoon I tried the Frida's Rita and the wonderful rabbit. Both drinks weren't in your face with the tequila mezcal, they were mixed nicely and had a well rounded flavor. I much preferred the Woderful rabbit though as it tasted less watered down and the ginger beer paired with the mezcal was almost quenching. Overall if you're looking for a relaxing spot to enjoy Mexican cocktails this is a good spot! We did feel rushed to get out of there, and maybe it was because we weren't ordering food. Overall good experience however.

As someone who loves spicy foods, I can appreciate how QDOBA has option to add spicy queso, a chile crema sauce, and pickled jalapeños. In my opinion, these additional options enhanced the flavors and appearance of my bowl. Upon entering the establishment, we were immediately greeted and able to begin our orders. The staff was friendly and gave generous portions. We chose to dine-in and eat on the barstools located at the front, facing the street. We were able to enjoy the downtown ambience while we enjoyed the warmth away from the cold outside. They also have a patio seating area in front of the restaurant that is able to be opened up. Due to the cold weather, it was closed, but as it begins to heat up it would be a great place to enjoy some affordable, personal, Mexican cuisine with friendly service.

This is a great location, some outdoor seating, some indoor, not quite as crowded as the Summit one. Although I'm sure this place is crawling with kiddos sometimes. Taco Mama has certainly raised their prices a lot over the years. I got a chicken quesadilla and a fountain drink and ended up paying about $23 with tip. This is a little steep, especially for lunch. Especially with the quesadilla, I would opt for a smaller portion if it knocked a few dollars off the price. I will add, I used to work at a Taco Mama and I know the front of house staff gets paid about $6/hr. They're working for tips, like most service industry folk. Be kind, and don't assume that because it's not table service you don't have to tip.

There are limited street parking spaces out front and the nearby lots fill up quickly even at lunchtime. The wait to order varies greatly from no wait to a long line. At lunch I invariably get tacos from the Justice is Served (grilled shrimp or grilled flounder with ancho chile slaw, avocado, tomatoes, and roasted poblano tartar.), Cheezy Beef (Barbacoa (braised beef) with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, queso, lettuce, queso fresco, and mild salsa ranchera.) or a Mix & Match. Regardless of the wait to order the food arrives quickly and is always tasty. The decor is eclectic and I enjoy grabbing the table under the Jeep grill. When we pick up from the location closer to home for Dinner, I almost always get the Steak Quesadilla served with chips and salsa, pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream and the amazing Chipotle Ranch.
