This restaurant was first place my fiancé ( now husband) took me for eating out since my arrival into the States from Japan. We both were strangers this town , drove around but had no idea what to eat , where to go.. then found Samurai Sushi. It's husband's suggestion caring my feel which I might miss Japanese food.. so we decided to try. We really enjoyed , I had no stress to eat each meals we ordered. Fresh (important), flavor is balanced for me as Asian, delicious, Not too westernized arrangement, stuffs are polite, good prices. I see chef's effort, professional work and respect. We were so lucky to find here at first try. (We didn't even search yelp..lol) Samurai Sushi is much awesome than one popular sushi chain coming from Japan. I'm not a fan of sushi really but the have some rolls even I'll indulge in. The service is great and the prices are very fair.

The sushi here is so good, but their octopus sashimi didn't really satisfy me that much. The texture and taste was like store bought octopus from Walmart or Costco. The waiters were really attentive and friendly. Something I really liked about this place is they give complimentary desserts, salad & ect ! They are all fabulous. The only reason why I am not giving it 5 or 4 stars is because the place is really small and can get crowded easily. Another thing was their was a hair in my ginger/wasabi , which was from the waiters and not the chefs. So I am glad I was able to eat my sushi comfortably before I got grossed out by the waiters hair. read more

This place is legit!!! I drove 90 miles (1 way) for a meeting which got cancelled the last minute, and it was 3ish in the afternoon and I am starving! And this place is next to the building where I am, so I walked in and I was greeted nicely and pointed me to a spot I can be seated but I chose my own spot, and not a problem at all. Because I was so hungry I didn't get the chance to really browse the menu so I just get the usual order I usually get in Japanese resto ofcourse, salmon teriyaki lunch specials, and a baked roll (I even didn't take a look at the name of the roll I just point it to the waitress) and iced green tea. My order came in about less than 8mins, the miso soup, the baked roll and the Japanese sweet peppers (I didn't know at first, I had to ask what it is called) and it comes to every order - for FREE! And it is sooooo really good!!!! I can't imagine I am eating a pepper!!! But soo good!!! The main dish came,the salmon teriyaki was very good too!!! All of it and the baked roll is delicious!!! I kept telling the waitress that I really like their food. And what more to that, when I was about to get my check, the waitress came and said "dessert from the chef" wow! That was such a sweet gesture! My 90mile Drive made it to my day because of my experience here!! Thank you!! I just wish they have this in the Valley area! read more

I hate to leave low stars because the food was delicious except i couldn't really enjoy it due to how HOT it was inside the restaurant. We also had issues with flies that didn't allow us to fully enjoy our experience due to us constantly swatting then away. Which grossed me out and was no longer able to finish my food. I ordered the Tuna lover combination plate. This meal was made for me. I loved it!!! I love lean and fatty tuna and it had alot of both. They made sure they gave me plenty and the price was perfect. Wanted to try a new restaurant in town instead of the usual few we always go to and was not disappointed. Took maybe two seconds to be seated, wasn't hot at all especially with the August heat.
