I am not from this area nor am I familiar with it but I happened to stumble upon this place by accident. I decided to give it a try and I was actually amazed at how good it was. This place was very clean and well kept up. Staff was very nice and welcoming. He got to the sushi menu and I was impressed by some of their own sushi that they make there. The sushi tasted very fresh and the other dishes that we had tasted great also. If you happen to have two or more people with you I suggest the sushi boat and The hibachi. read more

My daughter and I are regulars here, and we've yet to have anything less than a wonderful experience. The staff are amazing! Super friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious and almost as pleasing to look at as it is to eat. We always get salmon sashimi, my daughter gets the mango tuna roll, and I get the monster roll. I went there for the first time and had a pleasant experience. Upon entry, the place is well lit, clean, and innovative. I ordered the Dragon Sushi which was pretty good. I also had the habachi steak (tender and flavorful) and shrimp and had them add chicken to it. The noodles were ok. Not something I have to have again. Instead of regular white rice, I got the shrimp fried rice with garlic butter. Soooooo good! All were good. The wait staff was very friendly. Even though they don't have their liquor license yet, the drinks they have are refreshing. I had the lemonade. My sister had a Mountain Dew (just the right amount of carbonation). ALL GOOD. I'm definitely going back and will try some other stuff. If this restaurant keeps this energy up, it will go far! Thumbs up! read more

First things first- this is NOT a traditional hibachi. There is no chef cooking on a table in front of you the food is prepared in the back. The filet was good and so was the rice and chicken. The noodles we gross spaghetti noodles. The wrong texture entirely. The bubble tea was gross- Tapioca bubbles were grossly soft and mushy. There is a huge bar but no alcohol. Waitress has a hard time completing orders. The place seems out of sorts. read more

Very disappointed. This place has been open for a few months now, we couldn't wait to try it. My husband and I split an overpriced hibachi plate, thinking the high cost meant a larger amount since we realized once we were seated that there wasn't going to be a true hibachi experience. A few cubes of cold steak and seafood and a large portion of spaghetti noodles is what we received. I guess we 'upgraded' to chicken fried rice which we were unknowingly charged for. No liquor license yet, which wasn't a huge deal but would've been nice to have known this beforehand. Rating 2 stars because the sushi was decent and the waitress was still very pleasant given the circumstances. read more

Extremely overpriced compared to the competition. Steak came out in little cubes, noodles basic, fried rice was tasty but over saturated. No hibachi experience, and the overall atmosphere feels like the place just isn't done being put together. 2 stars because the service was good. read more

Presentation was lovely. Server didn't give us silverware or napkins, so we had to grab some from another table that was not being occupied. The vegetables for the entree looked and tasted like someone just sautéed a bag of frozen veggies. I was not pleased with this considering the price of the meal. The filet was at least cooked to my request, and the fried rice was not drowning in soy sauce like some other hibachi restaurants. You don't get as much food as I think you should for the price of the meal. Not my favorite hibachi food, would only go here again if I was in the area. read more

Went there during "soft open." There were six of us and the food was really good. They were waiting to get their liquor license any day.

It's very cool to have a Japanese restaurant in downtown Farmington. Great location and the wife and I love Sushi. The Sushi here has a good variety and the few times we have come here, sushi was just fine. Problem I have is that the times we have come here, there has never been probably more than three tables dining at a time. We came in recently on a Friday night, it was dead. Ultimately my concern with this restaurant is more geared towards service. Slow and just not good at all. The young girl waiting on us probably needs a bit of training if this is the product you are going to put out there to wait on your guests. She approached and the very first words were, and I quote "what do you want to drink" No introduction of any nature and I knew from there it was trouble. My instincts were correct as she was extremely slow, not attentive at all, and was absent big time between visits to our table which were rare. My wife and I were there for dinner and started with Sushi and a drink. We sat there and discussed the option of sitting through painfully slow service to wait on a full dinner. We opted to get our check and went across the street to get sliders at the slider bar. A tab that should have been $130+ went to $37 and we asked for check and left. Even with all this, waitress was no where to be found as we had already finished the sushi we started with for several minutes, drinks empty and I had to get up from the table to get the attention of one of the two ladies who I guess may have been managing and sitting at the bar to give us our check. She brought the check without a word, gave her a credit card, she then came back and put it on the table, again without a word. My wife and I love dining out and appreciate at least decent service. It takes quite a bit to represent poor service as I am typically quite forgiving especially when it is busy. It is a huge bummer that we rarely see much business there but I have an idea why that might be unless something changes. Your going to give basically not chance at getting return customers if they can't give better service. Not saying that each time the service has been bad but it has been slow and this time was brutal. My apologies to the two young ones tasked with Friday night, but it was super slow and they should probably do a bit less chatting in the back and on the floor and pay a bit more attention to their guests. Perhaps the two managing the front door could be aware as well and pitch in. I'm being very long winded here, only because if the owner reads this and wants to be informed, you've got a GREAT location, put the service aspect of this into motion and stay around a bit. I'm not as critical of the food as I have seen in other reviews and again want to stress the sushi was very good, but unless you want to wait around for it, there are other places that will show a bit more attention to detail with the service. Please get it together, we would like to see you stay around in that area, but given what we have seen so far, you not going to make it too much longer. Two star rating for service only. Let me man doing the Sushi know he gets four stars. All the best. read more

This place is was disappointing. Food was mediocre and lacking flavor. Sushi was below average. Prices above average. Was seated facing a wall (a group, mind you) and had to ask to be moved. There are better hibachi/sushi places in the area. read more

Overpriced with awful, awful service. 3 of 5 orders were wrong. The chef couldn't tell us if it was chicken or shrimp tempura even though he just made it (not to mention that it was the regular entree even though we asked for kids, it was for my 2 year old niece.) we were one of three tables and the service was incredibly slow. No wonder it was empty. The sushi at Sushi house a few miles away is infinitely better and cheaper. I'd be surprised if this place made it until the end of the year. Awful. read more

The staff here is always so nice and personable. There is a good variety of sushi at different price points. (I definitely recommend the sweet potato for a value roll and the delicious roll for a fancy one) I get the gyoza every time! It does take some time for them to make it, I just keep that in mind and call ahead if I am short on time . read more

Food was good but service was absolutely awful. Took over an hour and a half to get our food after ordering. Very very disappointed.

Went there for my second time last night with my daughter, my friend, and her son. Absolutely disappointing. My daughter and my friends son both ordered the bubble tea, which was amazing until we received our bill and noticed they charge you more then what's stated on their menu. It clearly says $4 but upon receiving the bill, it was now $4.25. Normally I wouldn't care about an extra .25 but the fact of the matter is they don't change the prices on their menus then surprise you with an extra charge with the bill. Last month we came in, and it was $4.... our waitress was so beyond sweet and apologized profusely, even though we all knew it wasn't her fault. She had the "manager" come over who pulled out a menu that was NEVER handed to us trying to justify the up-charge. Was not at all impressed with her behavior with customers by any means. Now this wasn't the only bad thing. Last time we came in, our hibachi meals were almost twice the size, but this time it wasn't nearly worth the amount they charge. Not sure what is going on here but they need to get their act together if they want to stay open. Both times we've came in, they weren't busy and we can see why. We also got a few sushi rolls. One of which our waitress recommended, I believe it was called the "monster". It would've been great if they actually seared the tuna on the top instead of just giving it to us raw. All in all, we will not be returning to a place who doesn't care about their customers, that only cares about making a few extra cents. Good luck "samurai".
