Another great trip to One world market! I am noticing so many little and big changes within this store. Greater varieties and diversity and expansion. The premade food choices are growing by the day. They are always adding to their offerings with new flavors and tastes. I started coming to One world market in 1997 when it was first home by a husband and wife team. It was very special at that time to have a Japanese focused grocery store and I was so happy to have one in the Novi area. This has been my go-to for decades now. When it was transitioning from private ownership to the Noble Village group, owned by True World group, there was a transitional decline, thankfully, that didn't last long and things are developing very nicely. I hear even more growth is on the horizon as they establish an even greater presence in the building next door. I am also thankful that the integrity and the high-quality is very much present and everything they do. The service is always top notch and they try to open up a lot of lanes so people get through quickly because it is busier than ever. The word is definitely out. I've seen a lot of posts on social media and it's bringing in an even greater crowds, which is fantastic! Such a cute Japanese Market Place. We strolled around to check out the place, it's cute clean and small but with good variety of Asian produce, condiments, snacks, fish, etc! We dined at the Marketplace for lunch. The service was pretty decent! Ordered using the QR code and dined there. There's no table service. We got the sides: rice with miso soup, Pork Katsu, Some type of grilled Salmon and Udon Noodle Soup. The food was great with reasonable pricing! The portion felt more Asian size. Not too huge which we loved. Definitely going to be back to try their Sushi Nigiri and Shasimi. Do stop by, you won't be disappointed! read more

This place is a favorite go-to for sushi! They also sell Asian groceries. The place is always so busy, so that tells you something! The to-go sushi is always fresh and amazing. They have a small sit down area too and you can place an order otherwise there's an open fridge with so many different options! The seaweed salad is one of the best I've had. Wow what a find! My husband found this and we tried their sushi and it was delicious!!! I also ordered the beef bowl and it was sooo good! Their rice and flavoring of beef was perfect. The seating area is small but thankfully we were able to get a spot. There is no water offered. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean!! I really like this place! I came in just looking for rice flour, but I was really impressed by the variety of all the fresh meat/produce, frozen things, bakery items, snacks, etc., and also the amazing sushi assortment! They have a vast array of ready to go sushi/salad etc. and you can also order any sushi, curry rice, soup, etc from their little restaurant. And theres tables to eat at too. Very good sushi at reasonable prices with friendly employees. Sushi rolls will run you around $6-8 for most options and are delicious although the rice can be a bit too sticky. Sashimi choices are cut by weight but you can find a great selection ready to go. Grocery is solid and prices are good. Store isn't huge but the selection of snacks etc is decent considering. The people working are kind and helpful. Heavily recommend if you're in the area wanting sushi. Is it the best ever? No not at all. But it's a solid B and the prices are fair. Small Japanese market with a great selection of ready to go sushi and sashimi. I like both their rolls and sashimi. Decent quality and reasonable prices. It tastes fresh. I don't recommend the lunch sets though. Tried that once with the mackerel and it was dry and not fresh. They offer chopsticks and extra soysauce packets at the register if needed. You can pay and eat at their cafe in the back too or order other dishes made to order for dining. There's also mini claw machines that are $1 to play near the entrance. Additionally, they sell cute little plush keychains and mini photo keychain albums but they're pricy. read more

My favorite place is Noble Fish and I heard this market is owned by the same company. (Idk if that's true, but based on the quality I believe it). I've been eating here since they first opened, and I always loved their sushi. Over time, I noticed the quality had gone down a bit, but I kept coming back because I liked the place. Unfortunately, today might be my last visit. I found a hair in one of the rolls, and the tempura roll was overcooked, with a terrible taste -- like it had been fried in old oil. The batter was also gummy and undercooked in parts. It's a shame, because the supermarket has actually improved a lot, but the restaurant has gone downhill. I chose the Tuna ($3.55), Belly Tuna ($5.25 WOW!), Salmon ($3.55), Yellow Tail ($3.55), Mackerel ($2.55), Sea Urchin ($10.05 WOW!) and Salmon Roe ($5.95 WOW!) Total before tax and tip was a WHOPPING $34.45. I will give them credit for having Belly Tuna and Sea Urchin, these are hard to find in Metro Detroit sushi houses. But I definitely PAID for it. Ambiance is that of a market counter. Service was polite and fast. But the PRICE I PAID for what I received tells me that I won't be coming back anytime soon. Saw a cool cashier here once, overcame my social anxiety to compliment their piercings. I'll usually get a melon soda, or some form of drink when I walk by there sometimes, reasonably priced, more or less the same price of a single regular bottle of soda. The highlight for me is their fresh fish and sushi section - beautiful fish and prepared sashimi/nigiri/rolls at very reasonable prices. My favorites are the Michigan roll (huge, with lots of tuna for $12), and they have toro to go too which is not easy to find! Truly a wonderful experience i remember coming here as a kid and i finally had a free day that i could come again with my mom ! We got lots of groceries and i got a katsudon with mochi plus barley tea and some rice cakes along with hi-chews annnd keychains finally some cat stickers Now the katsudon was nice and all but i personally did not like the red stuff on top and the mochi tasted like raisins which i loved lol They had music playing and it was a generally calm time to shop and the service there was super helpful I asked a bunch of silly questions but they answered them all very politely!
