The bun was the tip of the iceberg. Anything else below was going to be colder, more charred, greasy and yet undercooked than it looked
    Alex W.

I should have known better by the look of the only overworked-looking waitress... the food came out promptly and this poor woman did what she could to serve all +20 patrons at the place. During an unusually warm day in Cinci, some how they managed to serve the coldest, yet charred pieces of chicken and bread. I had the chicken portobello hamburger and the bun looked like in a previous life it had actually been part of a good looking hamburger. The chips came in 3 categories: greasy crispy (which I'm ok with, but there were too few of those), greasy soggy, and undercooked (which were 75% of the chips). And by undercooked chips I mean: still very cold pieces of raw potato. The chicken on the hamburger was so stringy that I could have crocheted a small mitten with it. The beer was the only good part of the meal, but I could have got the same beer at any of the other restaurants at the airport.

Even though they are supposed to be open until 8 PM on a Saturday night they tell you at 6:45 the kitchen is closed

I saw a few reviews that referenced how good the food was at Boone Kitchen (at Marriott). I was of course quite skeptical, but I hand them five stars for having such an amazing selection like a fusion bowl, boom-boom shrimp, garlic shrimp endive lettuce wrap, an Ahi poké appetizer and they also have favorites like wings (that looked absolutely delicious) and then if you have kids: pizza everybody loves pizza, right? Equally impressive was the martini I had when somebody serves it to me in a glass that looks like it came out of my grandma's cabinet circa 1932. I'm impressed. Sea Bass was my order and they nailed it. Again, you have to remember you are in a lobby of a hotel so I give the Seabass five stars. Probably more impressive than the food was the service! I walked in and the bar was completely empty. I went to my room, took a shower and came back. The bar was packed and there's one bartender she was serving the entire bar and four tables with drink drinks AND food. Shout out to JENNIFER!! She's the amazing ringleader of a circus! Alone.

The atmosphere is exactly what you'd want from a neighborhood taproom: casual, lively, and family-friendly. The bar is huge, with an impressive selection of draft beers (especially if you're an IPA fan), and they also have bourbon bottles available for purchase. We ordered burgers, and they were all really good. One bun seemed a little stale, but it didn't take away from the overall meal. The cheese curds were a standout: piping hot, crispy, and definitely worth ordering. The beef nachos, on the other hand, were a bit disappointing. They arrived cold and just didn't have the same wow factor as the rest of the food. My sweet potato fries were a little soggy, but I took the leftovers home and popped them in the air fryer the next day, and they turned out fantastic. Overall, I'd definitely go back. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with great burgers, a huge beer selection, and a menu that has something for just about everyone in the family, dog and kid friendly, 859 Taproom is a solid choice.

There is cool decor around the restaurant including, jersey's, old photos, and signs on the walls. There was a nice bar with about 18 beers on tap as well as a nice selection of liquor. They have live music on some night and on others a DJ. We were a little early and didn't hear the DJ last night. Outside there were tables set up as well and some Cornhole boards too. We were greeted by a friendly host who seated us promptly. We were then waited on by friendly staff. We ordered the Bavarian pretzel bites which came with queso as well as the loaded tater tots. The tots came with queso cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions, and jalapenos. The appetizers did not take long to come to our table The pretzels tasted amazing and the queso had a little zing to it. The tots were to die for. I would highly recommend. They were crispy and had some bite to them thanks to the queso and jalapenos. I had the Italian meat lovers pizza which had Capicola ham, Genoa salami, Italian sausage, and pepperoni. The pizza was superb. It had a nice crunch to it and was not too doughy. My son had the cheese pizza and enjoyed it. My wife had the country club wrap and a side salad. The salad was fresh. She enjoyed the wrap as well. Overall a great place to eat, drink, and listen to music.

He brought us a menu and excitedly described the lunch options. Once we made our decisions, he brought us hot Chai tea to sip while we waited for our food. My sister ordered the lamb shank while I ordered the chicken stew. Both dishes came with basmati rice (that was brown with spices and flavor) and a salad. We thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious food. The meat fell off the bone of her lamb shank and my chicken stew was beyond delectable. At the time of this review (March 2025), the restaurant had only been in operation for about 4-5 months. So, the minimal decorations and decor are probably because the restaurant is so new. I'm sure the owners will make the place look a little nicer once they are able sustain and stay in business. Because the food was so tasty, I didn't remove one star for lack of good decor. We enjoyed our meals so much that we plan to return when we are in the area.

It was seasoned with spices so it was fragrant and flavorful. Service- They were quick and friendly. No frills. Locale- This place is a no frills hole in the wall. It looks thrown together and empty. Don't expect lavish decoration or upscale furniture. However, what you can expect is a place that is loved by the community and they have a closed off section for prayer (for my Muslim friends) they are kind and welcoming. I would 100% come visit again. Price- it's a little pricey but on average with the local market and $18 for the amount of food I got is good.
