There were styles to suit many people there were colors for more than one complexion. The Talbott style does lean towards the practical and the casual. You don't hear me objecting. When I popped in today, it was clearly the holiday season in there. The sales weren't quite as impressive as the ones I saw on my first trip, but this is clearly the lead into the holiday frenzy and things will be changing rapidly. My doctor just informed me she's making a change to my medication's. Therefore, I will be losing weight again involuntarily. While I may be actively looking, I won't be buying anything until my weight settles down. I believe that will be sometime after the new year so I'll have to check again. But it sure is encouraging to pop into Talbots. Here's a store with clothing I feel comfortable wearing and I think I can rely on them to offer me selection and excellent price when I need it. I was very startled by the prices but the gentler sales of the season were out, I was just forgetting to apply them. But prices were running $79 to $ 150 for the jeans (full price). I was attracted to the pants but the tops and dresses were more mixed . Some of the prints (the animal) weren't to my taste but some of the plainer fabrics had fun embellishments. Now a friend of mine told me the best specials aren't announced in store but is embedded in the loyalty program. So let's download the app, and check out the loyalty program because I have my eye on some items. After I downloaded the app, created an account, and signed up for emails. I discovered there's something called Chicos Off the rack. I've surfed the Chicos store, webpages, checked out the sales in the clearance items before, but I never found anything that grabbed me. either at the prices were too high. Update: My friend was absolutely right. I downloaded the app created an account and signed up for emails. It wasn't long before the flash sales and clearance emails started arriving, after about three weeks, one of the items that I particularly had my eye on went on clearance. the price had dropped to around 40 bucks down from about 100 bucks or so. I doubt my wardrobe will be filled up with Chico's anytime soon. However, for that special little item this is a great place to check out.

I think that was maybe the fall or late in the summer. This particular day I was able to enter I was surprised to find out the shop goes all the way back and was bigger than most of the other stores. I've been to in downtown Petaluma. the only thing I didn't like was the lack of color which I'm sure is a trend for fall or the winter season. Lol everything was all beige, white and a weird tan color, which is too close to my own skin color and honestly washes me out. I was surprised to see the only thing that did have color were all on the sales rack and in larger sizes or very petite/small sizes and each $20 apiece. Lol. I really like the environment, and every employee greeted me as I walked in, so I felt welcomed, but I didn't really see anything I would wear without altering or dying a different color. I guess I will have to go back in the spring when they get some new colors. But I did like the whole set up of the store very easy to walk through and I really like their display table with the jewelry And individual stones you could buy.

I explained that I needed a pair of work boots for weed whacking and outdoor work. Alfonso was informative and professional. Their stock of women's shoes/boots was a bit limited but Alfonso mentioned that they should get more of a selection in the store. However, they can order any brand you see on their website. Good-bye to the old metal Brannock device for measuring feet. Red Wing Stores have new technology that creates a 3-D scan; they say for an ultimate fit. The quirky technology and large purchase brought out a playful side in me. Alfonso was able to adjust to my lighthearted mood. He was affable yet still focused on the purpose of my visit. While at the register, he seamlessly switched to Spanish and greeted another customer, saying he'd help him shortly. Communicative skills in two languages-nice! My goal was achieved and I walked out with my fancy work boots. Alfonso and the work boots made a positive difference in my day. Currently in Napa, you can hear the buzz of weed whackers across the valley. Listen closely, you may be able to hear me humming above the buzz because I am happy, safe, and wearing my new Red Wing work boots. This company understands that it is not only about selling a great product but also having excellent customer service that will cause us to return again and again.
