It is so nice to finally have come to a conclusion to the garage door opener fiasco that has been…read moregoing on at my residence. Long story short - called a different service provider who also have good reviews here on Yelp to repair my garage opener. The person who took my call deserves nothing but the best; however the person that provided me the services was less than ideal. Had trouble getting to my neighborhood, slightly complained, but did his job. Payed the man thinking it was all over. Next day - opener malfunctions again. I was told the unit is likely bad which I understand. I also understood that I did not want to pay these people again for another service fee to come out and install so I decided to go with someone else instead. -Went with Home Depot, problems ensued, order kept getting cancelled. 2 weeks later I was in the same spot. PLEASE avoid Home Depot. I went with them out of supposed convenience, but have not heard great things for them outside the rave reviews online, which I still don't fully understand.- Fast forward to calling 911 Garage Door Services. My patience is already wearing thin and my service date was delayed to no fault of these guys, but they made it right by keeping me in the loop and rescheduling appropriately. The installation has been completed and believe me when I tell you the difference in professionalism is insane compared to the first guys I went with. Jay explained the new unit to me in detail whilst the others just kind had the attitude of "you're good to go!". Highly recommend these guys. Fair price, quick (replacement of opener took ~1h), and friendly services.

He explained everything in detail and gave beneficial recommendations. It greatly contrasted with many other companies I evaluated for this project. This company proved to be the best. The quote was good, the project was prompt, and the construction site was in ideal condition. The main thing is that the gates look exactly as I planned in the sketches, and every part of my technical specification is completed. Before this review, we have already used the gates for a couple of months - all is ok. I already had some support over the phone - they quickly responded and helped with my questions. It looks that all will be fine in the future, plus the gate operators they installed have a 7-year warranty. We have many compliments from our neighbors. They also asked for the contacts of the company. Of course, I recommended My Garage And Gates and Tai. We also will use their services in the future. Great company.

The service I received was extremely poor. My garage gate…read morestopped working, and the technician and owner of the company apparently - Robert- informed me that the problem was due to a lack of maintenance. He replaced the battery at a cost of approximately $300. The very next day, the gate stopped working again. He came the next day and conveniently claimed that the main control board had been damaged by a power surge and told me it needed to be replaced at an additional cost of about $750. To make matters worse, he failed to arrive at the the time I was given. As a result, he left without programming the remote control and the keypad. Later, I was told that, for legal reasons, he was not authorized to perform the programming. At no point before the appointment was I informed of this restriction. Had I been told in advance, I would have made sure someone was present. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating. I have paid significant amounts of money, and the communication and customer service have been unacceptable.

To be fair, the lack of communication and games they play made me go with Doors of Houston and not…read morethem. I called was told that it would be around $500. I said wow and that it was only $400 to install but ok and I was sent a canned text message to my phone to send 4 pictures, measurements, and contact info. I sent them everything but didn't hear back until the next day and it was the same canned text verbiage back but they added the email address. So I sent the same thing again to the email address, 6 pictures, measurements and contact info. Crickets and tumble weeds for two days again. So I resent the email and a couple of days later finally the next day, Then finally, I get the same canned message telling me to email them 4 pictures, measurements and contact info. Now I am getting worried that all my training as a CSR at AT&T's U-verse department has gone by the way side. However, I still needed my door fixed and besides they had installed it when I first got it and I knew that they would surely stand by their install. However, they never told me what they weren't getting, me I could not tell what was the problem because it all went through without bouncing back and they would only answer in canned responses and not tell me what I might have forgotten or didn't go through my message. So after checking everything out, all looked well and it had been a week now without a front door, I sent it again. A couple of days later, i get another canned message to send them 4 pictures, measurements and contact info. So I sent it two more times from different email addresses thinking that maybe it's Google's fault. After not hearing again from them, I went back to texting them and explaining that I had not a clue as to what they weren't getting from my emails but that I knew that they were receiving them because I got the same canned messages back twice out of the six time that I sent it to them but they never took the time to tell me what was missing the pictures? measurements? Contact info? or what? So I finally get a personalized message with the following excuses, Excuse one: He texted back that they were on an emergency install. Excuse two: he texted me back to say that they get 40 text messages a day and they just get lost. Excuse three: finally a personalized email comes back saying that he was playing catch up after a family emergency but it would be $500. I don't know if he really had three different excuses but I got three after two weeks of not having a front door. I almost answered his email back to say that I was so very sorry about his family emergency and hope that everything was alright. But a friend stopped me and asked why was I apologizing, I didn't do anything wrong and like she said, at this point it did sounded like a scam. I was willing to pay the $500 estimate for a job that he said he never saw my emails because he lost my text messages, and/or was too busy to acknowledge my emails to explain what was missing because of an emergency install and/or the family emergency. Stick to one excuse and it might have been more believable. So there you have it folks, plenty of excuses and no door after two weeks made me decide that if it was a communication problem before the work started, I figure it was not going to get any better after the work started. So I called Doors Svc of Houston and they had the front door fixed by noon the next day and fixed my patio door handle while they were there too. I got two doors repaired for $300 less than The Door Guys were to fix just the one door.

Tom mason add his team were one of the few contractors on the Eleven:Eleven restaurant and bar build out that really came through for me and my team.
