I would like to formally report ongoing behavior at the gym that has created an uncomfortable and…read moreunprofessional environment for me. I am asking management to please review the security cameras because I believe the footage will support what I am describing. On multiple occasions, I observed an employee spending work hours working out instead of properly cleaning. One specific incident involved him barely vacuuming before returning to floor bench pressing. I directly asked him, "Are you cleaning or working out?" because it appeared he was using work time for personal workouts. I also want to address damage done to my brand new "One Day" Crocs. I checked them carefully before bringing them into the gym, and they were not damaged beforehand. I have previous experience working in clubs and gyms, and employees were only allowed to work out during breaks or after shifts ended, never while actively working. The main guy tall African American gave a glance look at my left damage crocs note with a sad reaction. I knew and gave me the proof to see what type of man the Muslim cleaning dude really is. There have also been repeated situations where this individual entered rooms exactly when I did multiple times, creating discomfort and concern about personal boundaries and respect for personal space. One time after I was told "this needs to stop," he was standing near the middle bench press area watching me in a way that felt inappropriate and confrontational. I responded by asking, "What the fuck are you looking at ?" because the behavior had already become ongoing and uncomfortable. Check the camera above the main lobby desk Additionally, I have noticed him repeatedly using the emergency exit located between the family bathroom and women's locker room area in a suspicious manner. People notice these actions, and it contributes to an uncomfortable atmosphere in the gym. I want to make clear this is not about religion, race, or background. This is about professionalism, respect, boundaries, and maintaining a safe gym environment for members. I am not gay at all. Since I have been attending this gym, I have not personally caused problems or had complaints made against me, but this situation has continued escalating due to his actions. I would appreciate management taking this matter seriously, reviewing camera footage, and helping resolve the issue professionally because the current environment has become uncomfortable due to these repeated actions. I just enjoyed my unnecessary vacation.

Unethical and unsatisfactory customer services from employees there. When I tried to resolve it, they refused to fix the problem, refused to take responsibility for their actions, and didn't want to investigate the evidence & facts. Big red flag. Instead of fixing the problem they were responsible for, they tried to get me to sign up for membership there with a discount as a solution. Very unprofessional. My experience here was very unsatisfactory. Yet, I am grateful I decided to never get membership here due to people telling me their personal problems with LA Fitness and my own experience. The matter was addressed privately and immediately with corporate customer service and district manager. An apology was issued to me from the district manager as well as a free 7 day pass ( I refused the free 7 day pass yet thanked them for it .), and employees were reprimanded by the district manager from what was communicated to me. From personal discussions with people and their experiences in LA Fitness, there has been several, worse, and unresolved problems in LA Fitness than what I encountered. If your health insurance is paying for your gym membership here or if you never had a problem with LA Fitness, this might be a good gym for you if the pros outweigh the cons. Yet out of all the gyms I have went to in my life, this is the worst experience I ever had at a gym. Strongly suggest to just seek out all your options and get the free 3 day pass online for LA Fitness (if you want to sample it before getting a membership).

I was in town for the…read moreholidays - I live in Atlanta - and I happened to come across this gym after getting a day pass to work out at LA Fitness (which... ugh we don't need to talk about that). I googled it and it seemed decent, so I purchased a little three-menbership to use after Christmas. Getting the membership online was super easy, and the gym was very easy to access through the app. And the app itself is probably the easiest and most user-friendly gym app I've ever used. Points Pure Fitness! Those little cylinders get a little tight when you're entering, but you're only in there for a few seconds lol. The gym itself is a little on the smaller side, but it uses the space REALLY well. I love that they've got roadmaps of where everything is in the gym posted both outside and inside the gym, so it's very easy to find what you might be looking for. There's plenty of cardio equipment, plenty of machines, and multiple free weight areas, as well as squat racks, powerlifting platforms, Smith Machines, and a couple of bench press stations that can also double as squat racks. There's a nice little turf with sleds, battle ropes, and stationary tires. They also have a nice stretching/abs area, that also has multiple standing punching bags, which was really cool - I didn't use them on these first two visits, but I definitely will whenever I come back! The strength and cardio machines are Matrix machines, which I'm not the biggest fan of personally, but they absolutely still get the job done. And that's purely a personal preference as an experienced lifter and trainer, but it wouldn't/shouldn't inhibit anyone's experience at all. If I had to name any cons, it would probably be these two relatively minor things: -The layout takes a little bit of getting used. There doesn't really seem to be a pattern to how the machines are set up, legs and upper body machines mixed and in random places, but once you get used to it, it's fine. And the cleaning stations and trash/recycle receptacles are sometimes oddly placed, to where you may be right next to trash can, but have to walk a little ways to find a cleaning station, or vice versa. But we're all there to get a little extra cardio, too, right? Lol. (I also do appreciate that they have recycling stations, too.) -The locker rooms are mostly pretty clean, and there are plenty of showers, that mostly seem to be fairly clean, as well, and they're nice and spacious. I always shower and change after my workout, so that's appreciated. But the bathroom area was pretty filthy on both of my days there. I know that's kind of par for the course for 24-hour facilities, but on back to back days during the week, I feel like I saw the same filth spots in the bathroom area. Though on my second day, the cleaning guy was in the locker room cleaning in the afternoon, so that was great to see. And the rest of the gym seemed very clean, which I absolutely loved. Neither of these are enough to dock any stars, though. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Pure Fitness Springfield. I didn't really interact with any of the staff there, but other reviews seem to have very glowing things to say about them, so I'll take their word for it. And the trainer I saw on Friday seemed to be very engaged with his clients, which was cool. Northern VA is home for me, so whenever I come back, this will absolutely be my gym of choice. And if I ever move back long-term, I will definitely sign up for a full long-term membership and make this my home gym. Thanks for a great experience, and I'll be recommending you to all of my friends and family in the area! :)
